sleep can you not find a friend with a dc that has had pox that can take the poxy dc off your hands for a couple of hours?

novice so can we expect some of your bags to turn up on the swap board soon Grin

Just dashed to primark as dc1 needs something red to wear on Friday and you would not believe how hard it is to find anything in red for a 7yo girl. Managed to find her some red tights. I also bought a grey saddle bag thing for 6 quid. Normally I utterly loathe cheap, plasticky looking leather but actually this doesn't look too bad. And I've been after a grey cross body bag for as long as I can remember but cannot find the one so for such a cheap price this one will do for now.

Ds' are far too honest. Mine normally tells me I look rubbish. And if dd had her way I'd be in a ball gown or party dress every day.

QueenCadbury · 11/03/2013 11:59

And shop no snow in Bristol but bsolutely freezing. Had dc moaning all the way to school and made me promise to drive home.

MarshaBrady · 11/03/2013 12:36

Snow here, windy type of snow swirling around. Snow globe.

QueenC mine will probably grow out of it. Hope it lasts for a while.

Annianni · 11/03/2013 13:01

We had a mad 10 minutes of heavy snow, but now the sun's shining again.
Bitterly cold wind though.

I've sent the red Whistles tee back, it's too orange-red for me.

I'm mn-ing from my car outside m&s while ds2 has a nap.
I have such a glamorous life :o

shopafrolic · 11/03/2013 13:49

I have good news! The AV jackets have arrived finally! Both are keepers (they have to be as there is no company to send them back to)
this one is very loose fitting, a cross between a cardigan and a jacket - the weave is really interesting and I can wear it with a lot of things.
this one is more structured, heavier weight, with slimmer sleeves and shorter in the body. Not sure i would have said it was worth the price under normal circumstances but I'll get lots of wear from it I'm sure.

MarshaBrady · 11/03/2013 14:07

Excellent Shop so pleased they are good! And that they turned up!

Annianni · 11/03/2013 14:21

Glad they've finally turned up Shop.

We're home from m&s and the lace sweatshirt is lovely.
It's sort of overlaid with lace, not a lace print as the description says.

I can't remember the last time I bought something from m&s (for myself) that wasn't underwear.

QueenCadbury · 11/03/2013 14:22

Nice jackets shop. It is now snowing here.

FrugalFashionista · 11/03/2013 14:50

Ladies the MN Swapboard will open tonight (links will be posted on the FF threads). Welcome to the grand opening! Those who post items there have preview access and I have already mailed my first swap today. If you have items you would like to contribute, PM me or Issimma for board access - your Pin name is all that I need.
Wink

MrsRadicchio · 11/03/2013 15:06

That's good news Shop! They look lovely.

Hmm, yes it would have been helpful to give more info about the leopard boots. They are ankle boot, kind of jalouse shaped with a wooden cuban heel.

I did think forest green would work as a colour with them. I have found some cords from J Crew in that colour but holding fire for now.

Thanks for the fur coat ideas, I like the Ramones t with fur coat idea, its not what you would automatically pick and I like the quirkiness of it.

Anni the lace sweatshirt sounds really nice. It was on the worn out blog, is that right? I used to get quite a lot from M&S, in particular the Limited Collection and used to get lots of compliments on items but haven't in ages. I think it all went downhill but maybe they are upping their game again.

Have deliberated over Sam Edelman flats only to discover they have now sold out! Am pleased in a way as, although I did really like them, I don't really need them and couldn't see them getting much wear. I am also trying not to buy shoes this year! but my willpower keeps being tested

Annianni · 11/03/2013 18:46

Donna Ida have emailed me, saying they've messed up and I'm not getting the star scarf Sad

Yes, I saw the lace sweatshirt on that blog at the weekend MrsR, I used to buy bits from Limited and Autograph weekend, but I gave up the Summer before last (I think)

Did anyone else want a red/white breton, or was it just Shop?
Found this cotton and silk one
It's on FC's site in other colours, but the postage is half the price on ebay.

shopafrolic · 11/03/2013 19:44

Oh Anni bad luck on the scarf but I did like the look of the M&S sweatshirt so hopefully that kind of makes up for it. Lovely breton too and what a great price!

shopafrolic · 11/03/2013 19:47

MrsR I like the sound of the boots too! Skinny jeans again (can you tell i'm a fan?) and maybe an oversized camel sweater, or big chunky black knit? I also like all black outfits with just one item of animal print. So either a belt, shoes or bag but no more than one item......
Could work with green too......

QueenCadbury · 11/03/2013 20:47

mrsR having done Pinterest research I definitely like the all black with boots best here

I used to buy loads from limited collection and autograph too especially when I had a non-uniform job as their trousers fitted me well. Weirdly I don't even look in there any more. May have to start again.

AlwaysSleepingBeauty · 11/03/2013 20:59

I have just ordered this m.topshop.com/mt/www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=1&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=33057&storeId=12556&productId=8767185&langId=-1&sort_field=Relevance&categoryId=440999&parent_categoryId=208491&pageSize=200 but am not sure if it will be a success. I don't plan to wear it actually showing my stomach if that makes sense though.

I do love Autograph shoes, they do some great styles and people are always really surprised when I say where they are from.

libertychick · 11/03/2013 21:03

Anni thanks for the biker feedback, I have a long body too so I won't order it now, maybe when they have a sale.
Good news on the jackets Shop they look very versatile.
Re M&S I bought a black pencil skirt there for £17.50 last week and it's great! I have been looking for a 'perfect' one in better quality but no luck and my old one is looking terrible so I bought it on a whim as a stop gap. Just worn once so far and very happy with it - the shape is very good. I'll have a hunt around the website and pin it - I think it's M&S woman.
I like your shoeboard MrsR

Drywhiteplease · 11/03/2013 22:58

Random link I know, but I was going on about pointy flats a while ago and have just seen
these
Very Prada.........very tempting < saunters back off to semi lurking >

libertychick · 11/03/2013 23:21

Drywhite I LOVE those...
I am so glad that flats are back...the choice in flats this year is fantastic.

BrandyAlexander · 11/03/2013 23:46

Those are very cute drywhite?why are you lurking?

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 12/03/2013 08:21

Drywhite I like those.

Inspired by Amber's Dior find, leather skirt, have decided to look for a soft caramel type colour pencil skirt. May be vintage.

shopafrolic · 12/03/2013 08:29

Hang on! Dior find? What have I missed?

MarshaBrady · 12/03/2013 08:31

Amber come update with your Dior bargain!

foxysocks · 12/03/2013 08:59

had friends round last night for a pinterest/fashion/shopping evening, was SO MUCH FUN!

they both feel like they've lost their way a bit and asked me if i would help. thankfully they mostly loved all the stuff I'd picked for them, hurrah! and one at least is going to join pinterest so i can make her board public later.

they both have different budgets/priorities/body shape to me so i was feeling a bit overwhelmed at first but they really loved it. we are going to do a wardrobe clear out for one of them soon too.

DD's school is closed today (burst water pipe) so we stayed in bed till gone 8 and are bimbling around in our pjs before going to a friend's for coffee/playing (age dependent)

am still wondering about this bag www.gap.eu/browse/product.do?pid=213170388&cid=60103 but wonder whether i'll bore of it easily. might be better saving up and getting a better quality coloured bag in a few years (maybe mulberry outlet at shepton, carrie?). but can't afford another £££ bag so soon after the campomaggi. I do LOVE the colour of this one though, and could be useful for india etc

am also obsessed with finding animal print flat shoes but am confused whether to go trad ballerinas or pointy. maybe ballets and then pointy in another colour? dunno

BrandyAlexander · 12/03/2013 09:20

Sounds like a great night foxy! Not a tote person myself but I like the colour
