MrsR I'm jealous of the brown faux fur. Mid thigh for me would mean skinny jeans. If I had kept my faux furs (wish I had!) I'd wear them with skinny jeans and a battered tee. I like the idea of your Ramones one with dark skinnies and heels of Pistol-a-like boots! I think the key is to keep the legs looking slim to avoid the bear feeling!
What are the leopard boots like? Heels, flats? Ankle? Knee high?
The shoes are fab and would look amazing with slim or skinny jeans, or capris and a nice blouse something like this blouse

shopafrolic · 10/03/2013 19:33

Damn Marsha!!!! Even I'd have bought the sweater for that price and I'm not shopping!

MarshaBrady · 10/03/2013 19:38

I know! damn! I may have let out a groan.

I like those ideas with faux fur.

carrie74 · 10/03/2013 20:30

Oh, Me&Em have them in the sale too: bottle green or burgundy.....Interesting.

libertychick · 10/03/2013 22:04

Carrie I have had that Cara biker pinned for ages waiting to see if it would come down in price - Sleep has tried it and said it comes up a little small in size so just to bear that in mind if you order it.

Amazing reduction on the I&I sweater Marsha - must keep an eye on them.

BrandyAlexander · 10/03/2013 22:22

Hello everyone! Marsha thanks for looking out for the shoeboots, I would love to have seen yours as you have great taste. I am really looking forward to seeing the red Austin Reed dress. I have been thinking of accessorising with the Louboutin Pigalle shoes and dipping into the Prada collection. I have a black Prada bag that dh got me for christmas about 4 years ago. Its a gorgeous bag and I have probably only used it about 4 times so would be good to give it an airing so dh knows I like it :).

Sleep, bless your mil. Hope you're feeling better this evening.

Great outfit foxy! Especially love the bracelet. Your dd has fab taste and your dh sounds fab.

Anni, I have actually seen a few things that I like by (Seraphina?) Miller. I like the coat though don't think it would suit me so would be interested to hear what you think if you get it.

MrsR, with the faux fur coat, I would absolutely do skinnies (I am a high street Always Skinnies Gap girl Grin) and actually I would try the leopard print boots with it. Its that really kooky look that I love but don't always pull off well as I am petite. The shoes you like, I would do with black or grey cropped trousers and then either a matching pale peachy type top or a white top. They are quite distinctive so my rule would be to make them the feature and everything else a "canvas" that allows them to stand out, same as the leopard print boots.

Today, we went over to spend the day with pil. I wore this hobbs knitted dress with those LKB boots again Hmm. Jewellery was diamond pendant (present from pil), amethyst and moonstone solid silver bracelet (also from pil), the Sabo charm watch and the boodles raindance ring. Mil complemented me which made me :) as she is so stylish and elegant.

The dcs made me lovely cards and dh got me flowers but that was it on the present front. I think he so outdid himself for my 40th birthday that he's probably done for ideas till christmas Grin. I am skipping straight past anniversary this summer!! Hope you have all also had a special day. x

Morning everyone, nice dress novice. Have you pinned the Prada? Would love to see it.

Carrie what size are you? There is a Charli next to my son's school and they regularly have samples at reduced prices, size 10's (so if you are usually an 8 that jacket would probably be about right), I could look for you on the off chance they have one.

Sounds like most people had a lovely Mothers Day. Foxy you have a particularly lovely/insightful DH!

Loving the sound of the faux fur with skinnies MrsR

I had the night from hell - DS1 and DD have caught my flu, both have had raging temps all night so I spent mine bouncing between them administering medicine and cuddles whilst still feeling pretty dreadful myself. So now I have two on the sofa with flu both demanding cuddles and one 3 yo who is perfectly well but still chicken poxy and not suitable for public exposure (he's my real headache, he wants to do stuff, at least the other two feel the same as me, barely want to move). DH is feeling very guilty, we discussed him coming back early from skiing but so much hassle and it would actually take so long that it isn't worth it. We are a pretty pathetic bunch here SadSmile.

shopafrolic · 11/03/2013 08:13

Oh Sleep how awful! It's always when DHs are away isn't it? I hope everyone feels much better soon.

MarshaBrady · 11/03/2013 08:28

Oh no Sleep you poor things, especially with one active dc. It's so cold out there too. Stick movies on. Hope today is not too bad.

Aw thanks Novice, as do you and everyone on MNV Smile. Like the sound of the Prada with the AR.

I'm thinking about a Rag & Bone sweater. But thinking before ordering!

carrie74 · 11/03/2013 08:42

Oh Sleep, poor poor you. Having all of you cooped up feeling rubbish is pants. Keep the curtains closed and telly on.

Thanks for the mention re Charli. I'd say I'm a pretty solid 10 on top really, and have a couple of jackets on order, so will see how they are and get back to you if intervention required Grin.

Righto, late for school run again....

Annianni · 11/03/2013 09:16

Oh Sleep, hope you all feel better soon.

I've just collected the Hush biker jacket and it's very nice. Lovely and soft, but too short for me. I know it's called 'crop biker' but on the model, it comes down to her hips... it's waist length on me. And finishes at my widest point on my tum... not a good look for me Sad
There's a good couple of inches before my jeans start, and when it's fastened it looks even worse.

But it is really nice, and if it was 3 inches longer I would be keeping it.
So don't let that put you off trying it Liberty.

I need to collect the m&s lace sweatshirt later to try.
And the red Whistles tee came on Saturday, it's nice but it's quite an orange-red. Need to try it again, then decide. Dh said it would be a nice colour for Summer.

Does anyone know how I reclaim the duty taxes I paid for the Gigi's?

libertychick · 11/03/2013 09:41

How tall are you Anni? I am just under 5ft 6inches

libertychick · 11/03/2013 09:43

And sympathy Sleep - I had that flu a few weeks ago and so did DD - it's horrible.

shopafrolic · 11/03/2013 09:53

Have just dropped DS at nursery - cases of slap cheek, D&V and nits going round. I'm not feeling optimistic Grin

BrandyAlexander · 11/03/2013 09:58

Oh sleep, you poor thing. :( wishing you a better day x. I havent pinned the Prada bag but will have a look tonight and see if its still online. I think QueenC was suggesting I pin my bag collection Grin but (even after a big cull last year) i still have about 50 of them Blush so I have only pinned the ones that less than 12months old!

Annianni · 11/03/2013 10:25

I'm 5ft 7 Liberty, but i'm long between my waist and legs iykwim.

MarshaBrady · 11/03/2013 10:30

50! Novice kudos .

Shop good luck hope your ds' gets out scot free.

I was looking for a Derek Lam peacoat that may have been 80% off, it's not, and ds2 said mummy at this. Clearly me in the mnv orange then. (ignores fact that it doesn't have a head, but like Shop am taking it).

MarshaBrady · 11/03/2013 10:32

Not that I'd wear an orange and black skirt.

MarshaBrady · 11/03/2013 10:45

Oh had to delete that pin, the orange and black was making me twitch!

AmberNectarine · 11/03/2013 10:47

When I bought a new bikini last year and was pinning it DS said that this was me. Hmm, yeah.

foxysocks · 11/03/2013 10:48

polka dot shirt for MrsR www.net-a-porter.com/product/340899

does anyone know what petit bateau quality is like? the DCs have had some great stuff from there (as gifts) have never actually bought any myself! got my eye on a top for the whole yellow/grey look now I have sensibly discounted a yellow jacket.

sleep poor you, hope today passes quickly. my DH left at 4am and isn't back until late friday, sob sob sob. have booked the DD up with lots of playdates and organised extra morning in nursery for DS!

MarshaBrady · 11/03/2013 10:48

Better than mine Amber. And you've got a head.

MarshaBrady · 11/03/2013 10:53

Actually ds' are pretty reliable, just get a Vogue and let it linger on a page with a blonde. Bless em.

Oh no Foxy. Not sure on petit bateau, pretty good I think.

MarshaBrady · 11/03/2013 11:08

Forget that ' sheesh. Snow fever. Am losing it.

Anni shame about the Hush, I can't bear things too short either.

shopafrolic · 11/03/2013 11:44

Have any of you actually had snow? Where??? Nothing here, just minus 2 and icy wind. Horrid. No sleep last night and decided to go to Tys R Us this morning - I must be made. I hate that place like I hate indoor play barns. I too am delirious I think.
Based on Ambers blog I popped into NEXT to reacquaint myself but I can't make friends there. Too much acrylic and polyester. Tried a cream faux leather biker, just looked cheap on me....... Good thing too as I'm not supposed to be shopping!
