Flicking through Grazia which arrived today because my ex-boyfriend has clearly not realised he's still paying the subscription which just renewed.

WTF is 'a knit'? Is it a jumper? A cardi? A sleeveless top? Or is the only thing that matters the fact that it was 'a Celine knit'?

While I'm on the subject, what is 'a trouser'?? Just one leg?

I can't bear it when things are only referred to by the first word, like "a plain tee" or "a purple clutch". Sounds lazy and wanky.

bequiasweet · 20/02/2013 14:54

OOh, sorry Prom, having re-read that, I didn't mean to come across quite as double-entendre as that!

nethunsreject · 20/02/2013 15:28

Well, we all know that a slim trouser is the go to piece for the tricksy office to dinner cross over.

With a red lip, natch

NotQuitePerfect · 20/02/2013 15:46

'Go to-', 'piece' 'hero product', 'stand-out piece' blah blah blah ..... Grin

Yakshemash · 20/02/2013 15:49

You are all BU (even though this isn't AIBU)

I lurrrrve fashion speak. I think tartan will be making punky waves for pre-fall.

DesiderataHollow · 20/02/2013 15:57

Curated.

As in she has carefully curated her handbag collection.

thefirstmrsrochester · 20/02/2013 16:04

Nothing has and nothing will ever beat 'herion chic' and 'ghetto fabulous'.

Internationaltraveller · 20/02/2013 16:07

And can anyone in the fashion industry explain why we have to see the same trends again and again? "This season is monochromatic" (that's dressing in black and white folks!) "spring is reminiscent of 90s grunge" (that means "we couldn't be bothered to think of anything new so we will just do 90s again") And don't even get me started about military...

This gem from Grazia "FROWING" as in who's FROWING? (That's sitting in the front row)

nomoreminibreaks · 20/02/2013 16:10

I think it must make its way into our consciousness. I was out shopping with my friend the other day and found myself saying I was looking out for a 'statement necklace'. She looked at me like... well, like you're looking at me now. Blush

freddiefrog · 20/02/2013 17:12

Just spotted this about Mary Portas's new 'collection'

^The 'Mary Cocktail' of style is 'one part Simple Chic and one part Edge then Decorated' which 'is the result of a revolution and an evolution'

Wtf?

ItsOkayItsJustMyBreath · 20/02/2013 17:56

Cailleach · 20/02/2013 18:05
