It has been decided that we need a new Mumsnet Scarf

In order to stop hijacking stormforce10's brilliant thread, in which she gave another TerribleCuntMum a proper bollocking (go, stormforce!!! - and link here for anyone who wants to cheer her on), I am starting this one.

The old Mumsnet Scarf, judging by responses posted to a picture, is just not serving its purpose any more.

Here are a few alternate options.

Please add yours.

Skull scarf with attitude

Gorgeous white and grey butterfly scarf - my personal favourite

More butterfly options, with international shipping for those of us not in UK

Not so great, but worth mentioning nonetheless

The Original Scarf, which looks great on the wearer, but of course we don't all look like that

I really like the White stuff butterfly one.

Any other suggestions before I add to basket?

Oooh, I love the horse scarf!

The horse one is nearly sold out, reckon from this thread!

The horse one is a fiver in pilot. I think it's much better quality too.

So, have we made a decision?

May I suggest something from here? There are some really nice scarves here and for everyone you buy, a scarf is given to a homeless person. I was given one for Christmas and they are really good quality as well.

Scroll down to Emma Watson scotty scarf - simply goergeous costs about £200 though!!!

I have the zebra scarf in bright pink and have had loads of compliments.

Looks great with a black jumper and jeans.

I have the star print one from china, I have it in the plum colour. Its a nice scarf, took about 3 weeks to arrive though.

I also have the bird print one Hallelouja linked to in a pale pink colour.

I love the original mumsnet scarf though just because it is so big. I have it in purple.

I love these she's a Mumsnetter (not me I hasten to add) and weaves them herself. They are a bit more expensive but they are handmade and lush.

I'm expecting DC2 at the start of April and hope to bf (didn't manage it with DS). A lot of these scarves are approx 70"x40" - would they be large enough to use as a cover when bfing DC in public?

Cheers!

I know MrsDeVere I think she undercharges but compared to the other scarves posted it is more expensive.

Wing that will be plenty big enough! I make tents for ds with mine! But don't feel like you have to cover up on public, most people wound even notice and a mahoosive scarf will only draw attention it IMHO. Do what you feel comfortable with, but please don't buy one of those god awful nursing sheilds, do it in style with a funky scarf!!
