For lots of nice stuff, links and so on.

That's gorgeous Mrsap. I have a solution for you......more handbags!

I try and use 2 handbags during the week, i dont always suceed but i alwaysI use my changing bag during the weekend and I use a different (non-mum!) bag if dh and i go out on a Friday night. Using 4 bags during the week stops crap building up!

Mrsap · 31/01/2013 18:13

U c that is where I am rubbish. Other than nights out, I just have one (or three) good bags that I wear to death and then replace when they give up.

I am thinking maybe do as u and my sister does. Diff bag everyday. Don't think I am organised enough tho!

MarshaBrady · 31/01/2013 18:17

I'm bad too, I just get a bag and use it until the end of it's time. I'll probably replace the Céline soon. I have a big duck egg leonello borghi one from Liberty that I rarely use anymore as it's so heavy.

Well done on the Bretons QueenBoo and Shop!

Novice gorgeous, lovely bag. What a colour! Love it.

A good thing but my liking of bold coloured bags is that they don't go with every outfit so it forces me to change. If I get stressed at work then I don't have time so then i tend to simplify by choosing the outfits to go with the same accessories all week. For various reasons, I have drifted to being quite a dull/conservative dresser during my 30s so good accessories are v important to me! I am inspired though by all the interesting clothes everyone else is posting on the thread. I am going to try and be less conservative this year!

MarshaBrady · 31/01/2013 18:41

I wish I could swap around more, definitely. I'd probably just go with lots of different colours of one type. Ahem such is love.

I have a blue bag gap, I love this one
www.smythson.com/women/handbags-1/mini-tote-10.htmlyummy
But won't get it Sad

I swap bags a lot but don't always completely empty them (bought a VIP bag liner once but it got sooo heavy I binned it!) so I'm always loosing things (lipstick generally) but occasionally find cash which is great!!!

AmberNectarine · 31/01/2013 19:43

Yep, serial bag swapper here too, though have been fiercely loyal to Rocco lately. Argh, left my iPhone at my parents' house and am now stuck with this stupid Samsung until I pick it up tomorrow. Still nap and me&em orders have dispatched.

BrandyAlexander · 31/01/2013 19:51

Drywhite, good taste, Smythsons make such beautiful bags. :)

Mrsap · 31/01/2013 19:55

Hhhmm smythson. I might have to look at their site a bit more. i like the term 'blue bag gap".

The only thing I have from smythson is a notebook and it is so gorgeous I haven't started using it yet.....which is unlike me, I rarely save anything for best.

Drywhiteplease · 31/01/2013 20:15

I love this one too
squidgy
But out of my price range really, just dreaming! Smythson are classy bags (not it bags are they?)

Mrsap · 31/01/2013 20:19

You're right they r nice but a bit too groomed and classy for me. I am just not that tidy looking if that makes sense?

The search continues......

blondassassin · 31/01/2013 20:32

Loving all the bag links. I'm now at the smaller bag stage and think Marsha's Celine is my ideal. I fancy bright green or orange (think orange is what you have Marsha?). Do still need to be able to chuck it on the ground at the play park/beach etc so might be better to get something sturdier for now.

Shop I am also eyeing a Zatchel saddle bag in the bright green. Did you go for the large size, and how is the leather?

blondassassin · 31/01/2013 20:36

Oh meant to add thanks Shop for the Atterley Rd heads up. Ordered Maison Scotch slim chinos, the nude silk blouse someone linked to and the cream knit all with an extra 10% off sale price - hope they're good.

20% extra off Donna Ida sale too, so have stocked up on some basic tees, Splendid, Zoe Karssen in nice colours for spring. Some v good bargains on jeans too, James Twiggys, Goldsign, J Brand. Worth a look.

MarshaBrady · 31/01/2013 20:38

Yy orange. But would love the same again in raspberry.

So far have only seen yellow and white in Selfridges.

Anyone made a purchase off these people?

BrandyAlexander · 31/01/2013 20:46

Drywhite, thats what I love about smythsons, the fact that They're not it bags. just beautiful.Smile

shopafrolic · 31/01/2013 20:49

I ordered the small Zatchel which is big enough for me. The leather is hard, and there are no bells and whistles e.g. Pretty hardware or internal pockets but it is perfect for what I wanted which was a day to day, sling cross body and still have change bag with me type bag!! And it won't sag or mold to me which is a good thing i think. The cream is more stoney than yellowy but I like that, and the buckle does up under the bag rather than on the front IYSWIM. It's a good, day to day hard worker, I'll use the Gracie when I'm without DS or on night's out and then my Mulberry's, Coach etc when out and about daytimes sans DS.
Glad you had some success on Atterley Road site. I didn't realise that Dona Ida did Splendid so will take a quick look.

Mominatrix · 31/01/2013 20:58

novice, that bag is gorgeous!

I have a small selection of bags which I rotate very slowly. I have a purse organiser which I place in the bag, and all my detritus goes into the purse organizer. To change bags, I simply pull out the organizer and put into the other bag. Makes switching a breeze.

Marsha, I've been very tempted by the Celine box bag. I even prefer it to the Hermes Constance (never been able to get over the big "H" in the front). I should have purchased one when I initially wanted it because now they are about a grand more! I do have a boogie bag from ages ago in the most lush chocolate brown. I have not used it in 6 years though, so probably should just let it go. I can't though - I always think that I just might use it in the future!

Love the Lobster jumper Amber. Now I want one!

Off to check out the Donna Ida sale - thanks for the heads ups on the extra 20%!

shopafrolic · 31/01/2013 21:10

Any guesses what this is made of or am I missing the detail?

MarshaBrady · 31/01/2013 21:22

Argh how annoying, no material info. Still amazing price!

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 31/01/2013 21:23

I'd be tempted to get it, before it sells out.

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 31/01/2013 21:23

Half tempted to order it and see....... Although technically I'm not supposed to wear black since I had my colours done......

blondassassin · 31/01/2013 21:25

I want a lobster jumper like Amber's too! Can't do grey though....
