Yipee Amber is blogging! Love it.

Great tip for the scarf Mominatrix I am not sure I could get away with it for going out but will definitely try out on holidays.

Had an hour between meetings in London yesterday so got to pop into Marsha's favourite haunt - Liberty. I said a couple of weeks ago I would knit a sweater so had a flick through various knitting books and bought the Kim Hargreaves Indigo book and plan to knit
this sweater with this yarn in bluebird. So this weekend I have to finish DD's sweater and then get started.

While I was there the Chinti and Parker stuff caught my eye especially this
C&P jumper with stars and this jumper with pocket. So soft and lovely colours - way too £££ for me for a jumper but maybe in the sales (fingers crossed)

Also popped into Jigsaw for 5 mins - this cashmere hoody is also very lovely.

MarshaBrady · 08/02/2013 21:50

Love the knitted jumper pattern Liberty. You have a good name for that store! Grin. And the stars one looks really pretty and soft too.

All really nice.

The name came about as the evening I registered with MN I was writing some 'thank you' cards to people who had sent gifts for DD's birth and the cards had liberty print designs on the front - I don't get in there very often but it's such a treat to walk around. Like buying something even if it's just a lippy just to get a little purple bag Smile

MarshaBrady · 08/02/2013 22:07

I know I love it. It's one of my breakfast at tiffany's places. Has been superseded lately but it's still one of my favourites. Always feel a bit reticent to get rid of the purple bags. So I keep them for a bit before I do.

pickled thanks for the links. They both go to the same Mint Velvet linen top? It is rather nice, and definitely worth a look in RL but wondered if you'd seen something else too?
I'm off into London tomorrow for lunch and haircut in Kensington so might pop into Harrods if I have time. Nice to have some free time without DS in tow and some adult conversation instead of Thomas The Tank......
Love the knits Liberty especially the stars.
Sent the two pairs of Houlis back to DI today - over £8 to return!!! Sticking with AR, the Outnet and NAP now unless I've tried first.
sleep have a wonderful evening, your outfit sounds gorgeous. We've had my folks over for dinner to celebrate my father's 77th birthday. He loved his decanter and then promptly discussed how i'd inherit it soon enough! Sad

McNally · 08/02/2013 23:11

Love the blog Amber. Congrats on getting it up and running. Really enjoyed reading it.

Outfit sounds great sleep.

Love Chinti and Parker Liberty. I ummed and ahhed over a navy Aran sweater for winter but in the end decided that I couldn't justify the cost for a woolly jumper. Now regretting that rare flash of being sensible as I think it would have been fantastically useful.

Glad decanter was a hit shopafrolic!

MarshaBrady · 09/02/2013 07:08

Shop I sent mine back to Donna Ida, £7.50 recorded post. I felt delivery rage. Am not doing that again no way. Sticking to outnet, Matches, NaP all courier plus free delivery places.

(unless I know for absolutely sure I want them).

Morning all, big thanks for all the positivity re. The blog, I'm really enjoying it! I think I'm going to be the world's most irritating and prolific blogger as I keep thinking of things to post about.

Hope the leathers were a success sleep

gypsyfloss · 09/02/2013 07:53

Loving both Amber's and Hooefully's blogs. Having been seduced into buying stuff recommended by them both over the past year I'm not sure I need anymore opportunities to be led astray Grin

shopafrolic · 09/02/2013 08:08

Quick decision help please! Thanks to Amber!
Orange flouro

AmberNectarine · 09/02/2013 08:12

Thanks guys, they're both sitting in my bag while I wait and see if someone else releases the large orange saddle bag.......
Decision made flouro rather than leopard. You guys are brill. Happy Saturdays - I'm off to the big smoke!

BrandyAlexander · 09/02/2013 08:14

Yes I meant the plain one too. Will add that extra something if you get drawn back to blackGrin

shopafrolic · 09/02/2013 08:17

Success! Thanks all!

Sleepwhenidie · 09/02/2013 08:18

Morning everyone. Feeling shockinga little jaded this morning but had a lovely evening. Leathers felt (and hopefully looked) great.

I love Liberty too, was there a few weeks ago for a browse. It was soo quiet though. Such a different, lovely vibe from Selfridges.

Liberty re Chinti & Parker, I always think it looks lovely too but am put off by the prices. Anna has a few cashmere pieces with stars on that are slightly more reasonable here may also be worth keeping an eye on for sale time.

shop - Orange flouro!

I forgot to admit to using my birthday gift cards to buy Pistols yesterday too. Now I must stop for a while, am going to shop vicariously through you lot Grin

AmberNectarine · 09/02/2013 08:18

In fact, I sold it to myself. Oops.

BrandyAlexander · 09/02/2013 08:19

Hi hopefully, can you post a link to your blog please if you don't mind?

shop you need to find that Breton top soonGrinI find myself checking them out for you when i am browsing and I don't even "do" Breton!! It's when I thought to myself this morning, "oh no, not those ones they are 3/4 length sleeves" that I felt like a loon Grin

AmberNectarine · 09/02/2013 08:28

Applied Style, Hopefully's significantly more professional blog!

MarshaBrady · 09/02/2013 08:30

Haha yes it makes shopping much more fun.

Shop bravo on bag have fun today.

Sleep! Which pistols did you get?

All sounds great.

Sleepwhenidie · 09/02/2013 08:41

Black Blush. I did ponder the new creamy coloured ones for Spring but I figure when its warmer I will spend more time in ballet flats, black a much more sensible investment.
