If any of those ladies I have already PM'ed felt it worthy of linking I wouldn't mind at all!

Keep away from aibu Amber, they'll have you for misuse of disabled loos :o

shopafrolic · 08/02/2013 12:20

Nice to see your face Amber!

Mominatrix · 08/02/2013 13:22

Yeah, Amber! I'll bookmark the link.

Good info on the cream hooligans - I was considering them in cream or white, but will pass as the fabric is translucent (not a good look in white!).

Rolled out of bed this am to do the school run, then back in bed! Was a fun evening, but I think I had just a bit too much fun. I wore the scarf as a top by folding on the bias, so triangular shape. Tie a small knot at the top of the triangle. Put head through the top bit (closed with the knot) so the scarf is now like a halter top with the wider end (with the fold) at the bottom). Tie the bottom ends together in the back. Tada - scarf is now a halter top!

I love that Helmut top, and will have to add to my list of Would Like things. This thread is very dangerous.

shopafrolic · 08/02/2013 13:37

Not sure about the white Mom but the cream is certainly too thin for me. I tried them on with black underwear granted but you could see the pockets through the front.....
Will stick with my cheaper Jigsaw green versions for now!
Love the scarf as top tip. I fear my chest is too big to get away with it!

QueenCadbury · 08/02/2013 13:43

mom love the tip about the scarf as I love halter necks but nowhere seems to sell them.

amber loving the blog so far.

Hopefully · 08/02/2013 14:26

Can someone else post a link to Amber's blog? Or are you wanting to keep it quiet for now?

I have just realised I have a completed manicure on one hand and only one cost on the other hand. Classy.

Hopefully · 08/02/2013 14:30

Oh. Have just seen link. Fool.

Hopefully · 08/02/2013 14:30

Very excited to see your blog Amber, I always look forward to your what I'm wearing updates. Very Envy of your hair too...

And have just shamelessly copied the Me&Em top, which I think will be handy in my work wardrobe.

Drywhiteplease · 08/02/2013 16:56

Great fashion blog Amber...... I love that bracelet......

Sleepwhenidie · 08/02/2013 17:37

The blog looks great Amber

QueenC - [whispers] re halter neck tops, take a look at Gucci on NAP.

Well, no surprise, I bought the MiH leather trousers. Persuaded manager at Anna to relax the returns policy and give me a refund if I return them tomorrow so I am going to try on with lots of things to decide for sure. They definitely look better on than several more expensive legging style ones I tried in Selfridges today. They would be lovely for going out with DH tonight. I am cursing the weather again, doesn't it just ruin your options of what to wear for an evening! Crossed suede shoes and shearling coat off the list cos of rain, embellished jacket not warm enough...bleurgh. It just doesn't feel the same going out in a coat you wear all day does it.

MarshaBrady · 08/02/2013 17:53

Well done Anni! Love MiH and the leather leggings sound great. Can you do taxis to door and avoid the weather. Or still risky.

Parent/teacher for three year old tonight. Rock and roll!

Ah sorry Sleep!

Maybe not suede shoes...

pickledsiblings · 08/02/2013 18:57

shop, there's this in red and cream (or should I say poppy and stone) and this and I'm sure I saw another top in the same colourway .

BrandyAlexander · 08/02/2013 18:58

Well done Amber, I loved reading the blog.

Mominatrix, that scarf is sooo creative Envy. Thanks for the tip!

So, I have decided that I have to stop obsessing with the Helmut Lang top and just get. It alread [bad influence!]

Sleepwhenidie · 08/02/2013 19:17

Outfit for the evening, leather trousers (not going back, obvsBlush), beige/white embellished allsaints vest, Sam Edelman high heeled boots, embellished clutch from French connection and gold Maje cuff, Essie midnight cami (deep navy blue) on nails to match trousers, plus Whistles parka with cardi under for warmth - boo. Too risky to rely on getting a cab back straight away later, would be cursing if we have to walk streets for a bit in freezing rain

novice yes, thread is a very bad influence, clearly.

BrandyAlexander · 08/02/2013 19:29

sleep that outfit sounds great! Have a fun evening. I shall be slobbing out at home in m&s pjs.
