I'm now following you, Liberty, Novice and Drywhiteplease.

Drywhiteplease, I think J Crew opens late 2013.

Liberty, no, that's awful, did you have to walk up the aisle on crutches?!

QueenCadbury, Marc by Marc Jacobs have some lovely pale grey bags, have you looked at those?

QueenBoo, I have my eye on that APC top too. Very nice.
Shop, I have mavericks, I haven't worn them yet as they are cropped on me too, a few inches above the ankle, I think they look ok. How tall are you? I'm 5'9.

Anni, those shoes are a bargain. I'm not too keen on the tricolour pair.

The Boden jeans arrived, meh, they are going back. I missed the delivery for the Donna Ida jeans.

MarshaBrady · 05/02/2013 14:19

Actually my post was not helpful at all, Amber's was better but didn't want to ignore Grin.

Ah you're premium denim at heart Decam Wink

I am, Marsha, and I'm not going to fight it anymore!

MarshaBrady · 05/02/2013 14:24

A fight not worth fighting...

Houlihans are the same length as Mavericks, maybe a smidge shorter

Decameron · 05/02/2013 14:26

Exactly, Marsha. The DDs can wear the Boden denim.

AmberNectarine · 05/02/2013 14:27

I've just ebayed all my Topshop and Zara jeans. They were never worn. Once you've had premium, you don't go back.

DD wearing next jeggings and a Sainsburys cardigan today. I keep the good stuff for myself as I'm less likely to soil myself.

I'm 5ft 9 too but normally a 32 or ideally 33 leg in jeans. These were just too cropped IYSWIM. Made my hips look bigger as a result. Perhaps I'd better just look for green skinnies and skip the zips and extra bits....
Also want some cream or chalky white ones.......

Sleepwhenidie · 05/02/2013 14:46

drywhite am Grin at polo and fleece, can only imagine your expression when they handed you those!

Marsha the kickboxing kit is not the most attractive look, believe me, especially at the end of a session when I am exhausted and bedraggled! Not sure (hoping) none of the people from the dojo would recognise me in "normal" mode!

Amber I agree with the kids clothes philosophy, my children are definitely not fashion accessories, handbags and scarves are. On which subject, I just popped into Gap to get a couple of bits for ds1 and picked up a pair of their new "skimmer" cropped legging jeans for introductory price of £30. Will report back later, think they do longer lengths though shop, if you could bear non-premium. Grin

Decameron · 05/02/2013 14:52

Shop, I have these, which are nice on.

I buy a lot of H&M for DD1 (almost 5) now. Especially as she prefers to choose her own clothes (pink features a lot). I went into a lovely children's shop nearby the other day and picked up two pretty Liberty dresses for them, they were on the £10 sale rail. The sales assistant then said £95 please, they are half price. They were on the wrong rail. I had to say oops, no and back away very quickly.

AmberNectarine · 05/02/2013 15:00

Yes, DD is a H&M/Boden/Gap/JoJo girl with a bit of Sainsburys thrown in. She had a Kenzo snowsuit when she was tiny but my brother bought her that! I figure I should invest in my wardrobe so she has stuff to inherit...

Sleepwhenidie · 05/02/2013 15:18

Designer baby stuff isn't so bad, before they start eating solids and moving Grin, that stuff they look adorable in and don't ruin so it can be ebayed very successfully Smile. After that it's just a stress though she says whilst guilty of succumbing to occasional Elias & Grace sale purchases. The only thing I don't mind investing in is a Brora jumper for each of them in the sale once a year, they are just so gorgeous and cosy and wear so well, again, great on eBay once grown out of.

Isn't it handy having a DD Amber? I have used the inheritance argument with DH too, in particular with my Zadig gold jacket, he was a little Hmm!

MarshaBrady · 05/02/2013 17:20

I'm a big Elias & Grace sales fan Sleep. However Ds2 has some Sainsbury's cords and refuses to wear the E&G versions. I tried to bribe him with a biscuit once, whilst thinking who is this child?! Wink

Shop are you thinking cream houlihans? Will link if so and you are here.

OP posts:
shopafrolic · 05/02/2013 17:26

YY to links please Marsha as I don't know what I'm thinking yet!! Just got vague ideas floating....

MarshaBrady · 05/02/2013 17:29

Goodo cream houlihans on sale. You may have seen them already.

Mrsap · 05/02/2013 17:39

Just swinging by to say hi. Loving all the fabulous links.

Novice, I am so Envy but glad u r enjoying the bag.

Glad I'm not the only one who saves the best stuff for myself. Although DCs do fairly well out of nice hand me downs so feel less bad.

I have an extra specially busy week work wise, away quite a bit so sadly no spare time to shop. Managed to set up a Pinterest page and will follow u all when I get a chance to work out how it all works.

Hopefully life will be back to normal next week.

Have fun all.

shopafrolic · 05/02/2013 17:59

Thanks Marsha - got to be worth a try at that price! I think they'll still come up short but they had them in my size so it was too tempting.
Also chucked these in to see how they fit......
620s

shopafrolic · 05/02/2013 18:03

Decam love your 811s too - I've never ordered from Shopbop before, best to try on somewhere first I guess? Whoever was asking if I'd wear GAP - was it you Anni? I can't find the post now? The answer is yes if they fit well enough! History tells me that GAP skinnies tend to sag and gape - happy to be proved otherwise!

Annianni · 05/02/2013 19:48

It wasn't me Shop, think it was Sleep and she bought some today.

shopafrolic · 05/02/2013 19:50

Apologies Sleep how are they?

Mominatrix · 05/02/2013 20:18

Oooh! I wanted those cream houlihans, but they did not have my size. I ended up getting a red silk top and a pair of J brand 811 in moccasin. I didn't realize that they make an outfit and was pleased when I open the box and simply put both on and was out the door today.

There is a J crew opening here? I hope they will have a petite section! However, it is difficult to justify as I always purchase from the US site and have things sent to my parents, thus saving at least a third. However, for those impuse must have right now things, it will be great.

DSs wardrobes principally consist of grandparents' purchases (Petit Bateau from the French, Ralph Lauren from the American) and my Hackett Bicester bargains (I stock up when they have 5 for £50). Otherwise, cheap track suit bottoms and fuzzy hoodies seem to be their outfits of choice.

How does one Pinterest? Please be gentle, I'm not very technologically savvy.
