Right then, she obviously hated me and used some floor sweepings instead :(

I did not look dewy. There is another Chanel counter in another store in town, I may try there as I was extremely disappointed and still have hopes of looking radiant.

shellybelly · 15/04/2006 18:12

I have to admit the women who put it on me was wearing way too much make up herself lovely tho she was. I think they all tend to overdo it and I normally say that i don't like wearing too much and that i like to look natural majority of the time unless its a big doooo Grin

I like the chanel site tho coz it tells you how to apply eyeshadow (as i don't wear lots of make up its great for the likes of me as it shows me what to do Blush)

don't give up franny Grin its worth it

Piffle · 15/04/2006 18:24

It would appear dusty had you dry skin underneath perhaps?
I went to get my hair doen today and even haridresser (very hip trendy gay young thing) was singing my faces praises!
Of course I spread the word...

cod · 15/04/2006 18:41

I went into a store yesterday all set to buy some of this foundation from the cosmetics counter and I asked the lady if she could test some so I knew which colour to buy and she said there are three different types. So she gave me a sample of each and suggested I try them before deciding which one to buy.

To be honest I can't see very much difference from my usual Clinique foundation Shock (which btw is good enough for me to have stuck with it for six years) However it is much smoother to apply and feels nicer so I am converted.

cod · 15/04/2006 19:20
Angry then :)
Socci · 15/04/2006 19:26

Well I have just had a look in the mirror (applied it at lunchtime) and it definitely does wear better than the Clinique foundation. Usually I wouldn't have considered changing so it must be good.

cod · 15/04/2006 19:26

and the sheen>?

Socci · 15/04/2006 19:29

Yes - that is good - it looks natural and does create a nice glow which is useful for me at the moment as I'm so tired from lack of sleep. My mum also liked it and is keen to get some (and she has never used foundation before).

cod · 15/04/2006 19:30

double whammy

Got a tester last week , the texture is lovely - she definitely gave me stuff out of the pump bottle but wrote the colour as being cendre - which appears to be something she made up? Anyone else heard of this shade? It's not on the website either.

jalopy · 17/04/2006 09:01

Cendre is a shade in their universel complexion range. Teint creme range or something like that. It's on the webpage underneath the vitalumiere range.
Asking for a tester pot is a good idea. It's an expensive mistake otherwise, isn't it.

ssd · 17/04/2006 09:58

so excited, I've got a sample to try today!!!

You lot should be on commission!!!!!!!!!!!

puff · 17/04/2006 12:33

cod - the blanc universel is reviewed a lot on the Makeupalley website - have a look on there to see what people say about it.

I love it - can be worn alone or under foundation. It's very white looking in the tub, but when it goes on, gives a lovely glow to the face. I've been wearing it alone, or with a bit of my Hollywood sheen stuff from Benefit, or, under the vitalumiere - seems to make it "hold" really well.

£22 a pot, but I would recommend trying some on your face at the counter.

Pinotmum · 17/04/2006 12:38

I have mine on today in Limpide. I used the creme last year and am now trying the pump liquid. Dh thinks I'm looking very glam - he may be taking the p..s though Grin

jampots · 17/04/2006 12:40

same as me Pinot

MeggLeVache · 17/04/2006 13:08

Ok well still confused then. Is the stuff she gave me the vitalumiere liquid - as that is what I asked for(not cream) because if she did according to all the web details it doesn't come in this shade.
???

jampots · 17/04/2006 13:10

Mine is:

Vitalumiere
Satin Smoothing Fluid Makeup
10 Limpide
Nude Intesity.5

jampots · 17/04/2006 13:10

possibly she's just moved to Chanel from another counter and is thinking in someone else's colours?

MeggLeVache · 17/04/2006 13:13

OOOOOH get you with your nude intensity!
