WWW's six week ten years younger plan, WEEK FIVE

Good morning all, welcome to week 5. Bloody hell and all I've done is notice how badly I eat/how much I drink. But hey, welcome all. A reminder of the rules:

Be as happy as possible. The odd night of booze and chocolate is fine
It's not a diet, it's trying to eat healthily and well, eat fruit and veg
Lots of water, aim for 2 litres a day
Some exercise, walking is fine
Use sunscreen at ALL TIMES
Take your make up off before bed
Get enough sleep, aim to be in bed by 10, 10.30 every night
Use handcream and join the horned hoof club on their thread if you have vile feet

Suzywong is Harvey from Fit Club and will pop in every now and again to say Good Luck to You but in her absence: Good Luck To You.

Unbeleivably huge amount of delicious food today: friends came for lunch and dh cooked, and dd and ds2 made huge strawberry cream cake.
But bike is ready and waiting to be rifdden to work tomorrow.
have a good week everyone

Callmemadam · 02/04/2006 22:58

Am on bench in naughty corner, have brought cushion and book as I think I may have to stay here permanently............Sad. Am really really really going to try and be good this week... WWW, I have faith that you are going to be even worse than me this week Wink

Blackduck · 03/04/2006 08:52

My weekend was full of booze and lovely food and great company and I had a good time so I'm not going to feel guilty about it - back on the waggon now....!

WideWebWitch · 03/04/2006 08:56

Your faith isn't misplaced callmemadam! Although I have just done 2 nights with NO BOOZE, (everyone else drinks at the weekend, I seem to have been drinking all week and stopped at the weekend!) yesterday I ate lots of toast, lots of pizza, a cherry bakewell, some cream cake, some bakewell tart and some trifle! PILS bring all this stuff with them and it would be rude not to eat it, oh yes. No exercise other than packing but I did go to sleep at about 10.15 last night so I feel ok.

Off out to dinner tonight and looking forward to it.

Wow it was quiet this weekend. I wrote a post on Friday but my computer crashed so I didn't try again, more's the pity, because I had had a good week, had just been to the gym and was glowing and feeling 20 years younger after a hard workout and hot shower. Why can you not bottle that feeling and take a slug or sniff every time your resolve waivers ie at the weekend? Bad bad weekend and feel so angry with myself. Still got a haircut which dh says makes me look younger (well he would, wouldn't he) so I shall try and operate my New Positive Outlook to going onwards and upwards (or hopefully downwards, weight-wise, as I have no clothes that fit atm). Good luck all.

Bless me, sisters, for I have committed many wanton acts with chocolate praline mini-eggs. They weren't even fair-traded so cannot be excused as Active Political Consumption.

As DP is off with the Inferiorettes this week I also suspect that my eating may stray from the Path of Virtue, as he tends to provide a heftier lunch than I would consume on my own.

But I did swim 60 lengths today. Drove there, though, can't face the bike at 6.45am. Feel all glowing and smug.

moondog · 03/04/2006 09:51

I have had no heating or hot water all w/end which adds to virtuous ascetic state of mind.

Bravo on swimming front mI.
Do you wear goggles or are you presently enjoying the rainbow aura that lights up everything after being in a heavily chlorinated pool?
Quite trippy I find.

motherinferior · 03/04/2006 10:00

I wear goggles AND a latex hat, and put my head properly underwater. Then I come home with rings round my eyes all day.

winnie · 03/04/2006 10:22

mi, I am very impressed with your swimming commitment... exercise is at the top of my list of to-do's this week

moondog · 03/04/2006 10:23

Pet hate is silly women who swim without getting hair wet.
They are usually
the ones tutting when my children splash and (God forbid!) have fun.

moondog · 03/04/2006 10:24

Obv. excluding those who wear swimming hats however..Blush

winnie · 03/04/2006 10:27

oh moondog, silly women swimming and talking without getting their hair wet Angry

moondog · 03/04/2006 10:29

And giving pathetic ineffectual kicks underwater.
(I always want to grab them by the foot and pull them down in manner of Jaws.)
Then they moan that their 'exercise regime' is making no difference whatsoever.
Hah! They expend more energy wrestling open a packet of Rich Tea.
