WWW's six week ten years younger plan, WEEK FIVE

Good morning all, welcome to week 5. Bloody hell and all I've done is notice how badly I eat/how much I drink. But hey, welcome all. A reminder of the rules:

Be as happy as possible. The odd night of booze and chocolate is fine
It's not a diet, it's trying to eat healthily and well, eat fruit and veg
Lots of water, aim for 2 litres a day
Some exercise, walking is fine
Use sunscreen at ALL TIMES
Take your make up off before bed
Get enough sleep, aim to be in bed by 10, 10.30 every night
Use handcream and join the horned hoof club on their thread if you have vile feet

Suzywong is Harvey from Fit Club and will pop in every now and again to say Good Luck to You but in her absence: Good Luck To You.

Batters, you are so restrained (on the wine front) Grin

Don't let the croissant ruin the day it's a 'blip' (and if it makes you happy) Grin

You mentioned your feet being better than they have been in 10 years. I swear my hands are. My nails are lovely.

Crunchie, lol at being 36 and finally cleaning my face befor bed :)

Well done Scummy. {Scummy I keep meaning to ask you what studying you are doing? Is it Social Work? I am thinking of doing further study and line manager has made some suggestions but I am not convinced I will be able to do the amount of work needed. How do you cope? I did an MA with a 6 year old but that was 10 years ago & life is very different now.) sorry for hijack

WWW, (and everyone) enjoy your day :)

bundle · 29/03/2006 10:28

total respect to batters on the wine front...i daren't have more than two bottles in the house at once...

motherinferior · 29/03/2006 13:29

We have quite a lot of booze in the house. DP rarely seen, in the early evenings, without a glass in his hand - except that irritatingly he can then stop drinking. How? Why?

I ate several of the chocolates he brought back from Amsterdam last night. And today am concentrating, frankly, on getting this sodding IBS under control so less fruit and more (organic, nice) white bread. No swimming tonight as DP is whooping it up with one of his Tory mates from school (he isn't a Tory, I should point). Soddit.

Is the Liz Earle sunscreen working out? Feel the urge to splurge.

winnie · 29/03/2006 14:15

Am craving crisps (never eat crisps) ... what is wrong with me... must resist...must resist... must resist...

Caribbeanqueen · 29/03/2006 14:21

Being quite good with the water and not too bad with the food this week. Also, no alcohol has passed my lips since Saturday night, which is pretty good for me. Won't have a drink until Friday now.

Had a bit of a splurge on mini eggs this afternoon at playgroup though - very hard to resist them. I'll have extra water to make up for them!

crunchie · 29/03/2006 18:29

I must go and have another glass of water :)

I have had 1/2 l of water and about 1l of green tea (almost water!)

No exercise so far, but planning Davinas DVD again.

Breakfast - weetabix and milk
Lunch - huge prawn salad, fruit salad for pudding
snack - an apple
Supper - some sort of veggie casserole thingy (just bought a stew pack reduced from Co-op)

Blackduck · 29/03/2006 18:33

Pretty good week thus far (dp is away so no temptation on the wine front - but I suspect that will crumble tomorrow night). Loads of water, fruit and no sweets/crisps. MI - I want to know how people can stop at one glass too!

crunchie · 29/03/2006 18:45

Right Moroccan tagine thingy in oven - not sure how authentic swede is in a tagine (or green lentils for that matter!)

Off to tidy kids bedrooms :(

monkeytrousers · 29/03/2006 20:18

How is everything going with a week to go. Have you all dropped a jeans size?

I'm thinking of starting my own thread like this for any slow coaches like me - a week just won't do it!

monkeytrousers · 29/03/2006 20:19

And does all this water not make you feel bloated and running to the loo all day and night?

WideWebWitch · 29/03/2006 20:30

MT, I will certainly be starting another thread the minute this one's over if you want to join, I need another 6 weeks as I've been so crap on this one.

Today
toast
cheese omelette and cherry tomatoes
a couple of small potatoes roasted in skin
a parsnip
and fishfingers and peas for supper
NO BOOZE, I am virtuous. About bloody time though!

No exercise (well, ahem, not really)
No sunscreen but haven't left the house
Some water
hmmm. Crapola really.

Pleased to hear there will be another thread after this one WWW. This will be my warm-up thread!

motherinferior · 29/03/2006 20:51

I am chronically under-exercised and will continue to be so till Saturday morning. But am still off the booze.

TaiTai · 29/03/2006 21:16

Hello

Great thread! Can I join? I need an overhaul and fast, particularly as I recently bumped into a glam ex-schoolfriend of mine, who in under 2 wks is hosting a reunion-type dinner with girls from school (including one who was a bit of a nemisis of mine) i haven't seen since I was 16 years younger and 5 stone thinner. I see you are mid-programme, so maybe I could start the next one with you?

TaiTai

granarybeck · 29/03/2006 21:27

i agree www. i will need another few weeks as this has given me the right ideas and tried hard but feel a bit like i'm just warming up!

WideWebWitch · 29/03/2006 22:26

TaiTai, you can start anytime, you don't have to be here at the beginning! Do join us, glad people are interested in another one.

Ok, have had fishfingers and peas, no booze and am off to bed in a minute. A pat ont he back for me I think.

OP posts:
fullmoonfiend · 29/03/2006 22:47

WWW - look at the time! Don't we need to be in bed now?
(great thread though)

WideWebWitch · 29/03/2006 22:49

OMG, YES! ANYONE READING WHO IS TRYING TO DO THIS THREAD, GO TO BED NOW!

OP posts:
Caribbeanqueen · 29/03/2006 22:51

Will be at least another hour for me, I'm afraid. Will put on plenty of hand cream before I go though.

TaiTai · 29/03/2006 23:06

OK, I'm joined, but what do I have to do? SmilePS: Am I breaking the curfew?

TaiTai · 29/03/2006 23:24

OK, just read the bottom of this thread. Probably should have done that first, but I read it the other day and forgot the rules. Perhaps I need to add "improve memory" to the list..

Callmemadam · 29/03/2006 23:37

WWW, it does make me feel better Grin especially as I have had booze every day this week, and look at the time now!!! Deffo treating this as a practise thread for the Real Thing when you start the next one. Am I the only one who finds all this water makes me pee all the time or are other MNers able to hold it in?? Seriously?
