Hope you find your way back to us Dona!

Thanks! I have all sorts of justifications for getting them: they will go with loads of things, they are comfy, um....

I had the whole outfit pinned for ages; I should have just bought it instead of gazing at it. But it must be an easy one to recreate - smart black jersey dresses can't be that tricky.

I'll need to tread carefully as I have a shocker of a post-CS tummy and can't get away with anything too soft and clingy so will need to shop around... [Grin]

QueenBOObread · 28/01/2013 23:05

I was do excited I had to try them on in the office, opaque black tights, open-plan and sceptical male co-workers notwithstanding. I was positively drooling.

MrsAP you are right about the negativity drawing us out. That and Amber getting me all riled up (in a good way).

mintgreentiger · 28/01/2013 23:05

Oooh thanks for the tips amber - may have to follow similar path. Finding it hard to find footwear that goes with the shape of the harem trouser and is weather appropriate - in my head it's only jewelled flats that look ok... thinking about it, I may be getting carried away with the harem/Arabian Nights vibe. Oh dear.

Did Lucia VD also write an advice column in the Times ages ago? I loved her mix of eccentricity and wisdom!

libertychick · 28/01/2013 23:11

Yes Mint that was her. She was the editor for ages of this section of the FT - not sure if she still is or not.

shopafrolic · 28/01/2013 23:18

Am just looking again at Gracie before hitting the sack. She's so small.... Phone, keys, lippy but no room for sunglasses (or nappies!). Have 28 days to decide for £200 she'd better grow on me. So indecisive......

Marsha that was the 'too sexy for work' dress I linked, wasn't it? I wish I'd bought it too!

Welcome new posters - go forth and link! Wink Great to have you on board.

QueenCadbury · 29/01/2013 06:30

I'm a lurker on this thread too but I've always been too Blush to post as I don't have the budget that you ladies seem to.

Here's my new purchase yesterday new look.

Shall I go back to lurking...

QueenCadbury · 29/01/2013 06:33

My new purchase look exactly like this in my dreams

jimmy

MarshaBrady · 29/01/2013 06:58

Ah Amber it's gorgeous.

QueenCadbury do stay, all links are good.

MarshaBrady · 29/01/2013 07:02

Shop I love having a small bag now, but I can fit sunglasses. (but no longer in nappy stage).

shopafrolic · 29/01/2013 07:36

Right, morning all new, old and semi-new (like me!). I have decided to take a trip to TK Maxx today to look for MiHs or similar and at cross body bags. Once I've seen if there are other options I'll then make final decision about Outnet purchases......
The Zoe K tee is going back as the green is too muted for me.

Queen I don't have a Lanvin or Dior budget unfortunately Sad and I lurked for a very long time before daring to post.

There do seem to be a few arses posting on here at the moment.
As Amber said, they wouldn't dare go and tell people off for buying nice kitchen gadgets. But clothes, bags and shoes are an easy target for them wankers

My jbrands arrived yesterday and although I love them, they are going back. They look daft with my bowies and only just cover my arse, even though they are supposed to be mid rise.

So like Shop, i'm off to Tkmaxx.

AmberNectarine · 29/01/2013 09:06

Don't worry about budget people, I have everything in my wardrobe from Primark and H&M to Dior and McQueen. The importance is not the price, but if you love it!

Working from home today, so not my most stylish ensemble of yesterday's burgundy Hush harems, grey chunky knit Wang jumper and bright pink Marant scarf and Primark thermal socks

MarshaBrady · 29/01/2013 09:49

Don't worry about budget at all. I have the odd what the hell moment but it's more to do with how I get paid for work (the odd lump sum) and am not good at eeking it out.

But mostly am discount city and love a good 70% off. It's much better to have a range. So stay, feel welcome!

Good luck at tk maxx Shop and Queen I want to get to one too, sounds great.

12 degrees so coat, no scarf, gloves or hat. Lovely.

MarshaBrady · 29/01/2013 09:50

Sorry Anni! Report back.

MarshaBrady · 29/01/2013 09:51

That outfit sounds great Amber. Mine's not worth listing, need new stuff.

QueenBOObread · 29/01/2013 10:02

QueenCadbury your NL heels are classics. Very Choo-alikey and would be perfect for me to trot around the office.

Please do share your purchases whatever the budget - I come on here mainly to pinch ideas and am just as swayed by the ones which won't bankrupt me as the ones which do! It's good to have a spread.

And if I could find a lookalikey of my Wang heels for a fraction of the price I would have snapped them up as I am all in favour of a bargain.

QueenBOObread · 29/01/2013 10:05

At work in my Hobbs black pencil skirt, J Crew Tippi sweater in forest green with COS scallop-edged mock collar underneath for which I was mocked on another thread.

I have to profess my love for Tippi. Fine merino wool, huge array of colours, positively bargainous in the J Crew sale and NO BOBBLES.

MarshaBrady · 29/01/2013 11:05

Love your outfit Queen.

MarshaBrady · 29/01/2013 11:14

Anyone looking for a coral Gracie? or is the green.

Mrsap · 29/01/2013 11:16

It's me and it's the green or blue. Have you spotted one?

MarshaBrady · 29/01/2013 11:18

Ah no not green or blue, just white and coral.

Will keep an eye out, as they say.

Annianni · 29/01/2013 11:39

My earlier comment was to QueenCadbury I didn't realise that we had 2 queens.

No nice jeans at my local Tkmaxx, there is another one in town but I'd rather order them online than go there.

I'd love a gracie for summer, they do look nice.

All our snow's gone, so I can wear my bowies again. They are lovely, so glad I got them.

Mrsap · 29/01/2013 11:51

Thx marsha. Any nods in the right direction much appreciated.

Queen, love the sound of your outfit so much that it prompted me to look again at jcrew. I so want to like their stuff. I just think that a bit like the white company and cos, their colours are just too muted for me. Shame.

MarshaBrady · 29/01/2013 11:56

Mini Gracie white and coral. Not sure if they have been there the whole time, or have just been returned. If there the whole time since first mentioned then ignore that!

I love the idea of J Crew but only have tshirts so far.
