Oh I love that Shop really gorgeous. Yes your tones and colours are great together.

Great dress, brilliant colour, and sweat shirt Amber. I need some, sometimes just the ticket for home.

Bravo! Which ones did you get Anni?

MarshaBrady · 10/01/2013 09:56

Good deal on MiH Paris. If anyone fancies doing cropped.

shopafrolic · 10/01/2013 10:03

Waiting at garage for car to be fixed and then I am going to try and fit a trip to Anna in (watch out chav hating sales assistant!) before picking up DS from nursery. Inspired by Anni and Dona's link to jeans blog I am going to try and find some mid rise skinnies to wear with the Bowies. The denim on the gap ones on my AW Pin board is so tough that my knees are aching! And DH laughed at me trying to squeeze into them this morning. Not a good look! What did you go for Anni?

Marsha will try the Paris while I'm there.... That's a great deal!

Amber what's the sizing like on that A&W sweat? You might have tempted me.....

OP posts:
AmberNectarine · 10/01/2013 10:16

I got a small and it's roomy, Shop. I am an 8-10 on top.

God, I hate stiff denim. I think that is why I am so hooked on my Goldsigns, they are so soft!

Lots of T by A Wang on the outnet this morning. My favourite for casual, but I'm being restrained as I have a million t shirts and tanks. And a long shoe wish list. Not help this morning by seeing som Dries Van Noten tartan courts in Elle that I just love.

Been working on my wishlist, and have come up with:

Tibi lobster sweatshirt
Jimmy Choo leopard slipper flats
Balenciaga arena gladiators
Boyfriend jeans of some variety (must be distressed)
A Kenzo t-shirt with tiger lettering

AmberNectarine · 10/01/2013 10:17

Will possible substitute Kenzo tee for Christopher Kane purple leopard print tee if NaP reduces again.

Annianni · 10/01/2013 10:43

I'm back... thanks for all the advice. I'm so glad that I went.

I only actually tried 3 pairs on, due to lack of sizes and 99% of the jeans available being skinny.

But... these paige jeans were lovely on. I wanted to try these straight leg ones but they didn't have a 32 in stock, so I tried the bootcut ones for size. They were so nice and fitted, I definately need to try the straight leg ones soon.

These 7's weren't high enough, even though they were mid rise, they felt like I needed to hitch them up and I didn't like the denim, it was too stiff and I didn't like the faded patches on my thighs.

And these J Brand were nice on the hip and thigh, but hideous below my knees.

I was happy that I could actually get them all on, so I will order some nice jeans online at some point to try at home.

Annianni · 10/01/2013 11:18

I did buy 4 pieces of cashmere (final reductions, couldn't resist)

This jumper in the blue that i'm wearing today.
And this cardigan in oatmeal and charcoal. I got larger sizes so they're lovely and slouchy.

Dsd got this dress she squeezed into the size 6 and looked amazing in it (and made me feel old!)

DonaAna · 10/01/2013 12:29

Anni I'm so glad! I usually check Yoox for premium denim - messy site but great discounts.

shopafrolic · 10/01/2013 13:16

So I bought these:
pinterest.com/pin/122230577358506964/
For £118 - I have seen them for less online but not in my size.....
I also tried these which looked great with my Bowies but had a bit of overhang!!!
www.jeanography.com/james-jeans-twiggy-mid-rise-legging-in-sienna-slate.html
So my challenge ladies is do you know of anything similar to the James (for £88 or less) otherwise I think I may kick myself that i didn't pick them up......

*nicker that should be!!

shopafrolic · 10/01/2013 14:04

It's amazing how bargainous designer jeans can get isn't it!!

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 10/01/2013 18:42

I know. Donna Ida sale has so many bargains.

Love your cashmere items Anni! Well done on jean hunting,

Amber your list is divine.

libertychick · 11/01/2013 00:16

Seeking the opinions of you lovely ladies - have just spent a lot (for me) and ordered for the first time from NAP and my-wardrobe!

DKNY dress I am pear shaped and suit this colour so hoping it will be a good work option - delighted with the discount too as there is an extra 20% off this week on sale stuff.

APC sweater I think I must have got the last one. Again, I am hoping it's a good basic...

Shop you mentioned on another thread this evening that A&W had good reductions on silk tops so I had a look and bought this blouse. I love silk but it's so expensive now. I am hoping this will look good tucked in with a black pencil skirt for work and also good with jeans for dressed up weekend look.

And finally bought a basic black crew neck sweater from woolovers - hoping the quality will be ok.

Just have to wait for all the deliveries now....

libertychick · 11/01/2013 00:19

And now just have to save up for those Paige straight legs annianni linked to....they look great.
Amber love the 90's dress!

libertychick · 11/01/2013 01:05

I have to go to bed - about to bankrupt myself - have just bought this Brora dress.

MarshaBrady · 11/01/2013 06:13

Love it Libertychick!

Love the DKNY, gorgeous colour and APC, and black jumper (couldn't see A&W for some reason).

And Brora pretty too.

DonaAna · 11/01/2013 06:16

Great buys Liberty. You'll know when the clothes arrive - I have to try on the clothes before I can decide.

MarshaBrady · 11/01/2013 06:29

Oh and yes to trying on, always helps.

(love it when boxes arrive with stuff to try on. All nicely wrapped.)

shopafrolic · 11/01/2013 07:02

Lovely purchases Liberty - the DKNY is a great colour and I love the A&W - if I'm not careful my wardrobe will only consist of their clothes.
I bought this for Spring yesterday
pinterest.com/pin/122230577358507803/
The other silk blouse of theirs I have is just beautiful........
Look forward to all the lovely boxes and tissue paper and I hope it all fits!

Lovely blouse Shop!

I accidentally found a great budget foundation. Bourjois Flower Perfection Youth Extension yada yada. I have some hyperpigmentation and because my skin is so very pale, even the smallest breakout stands out. Vitalumiere Aqua etc are too sheer on me and disappear in an ugly patchy way. This is very pigmented but feels weightless on and covers really well (I hate building up) and has a quaint retro porcelain doll feel, like something that Duta von Teese or Grace Kelly would wear. It's not totally matte, and I have to de-shine my forehead and nose in the afternoon (love Les Meteorites). But if you have pale dry adult acne prone skin, this is a great winter option. Am totally embracing the retro vibe wearing red lipstick and charcoal eyeliner and the red merino DvF.

DonaAna · 11/01/2013 07:31

Sorry, Dita obviously...
