What are you supposed to call the playroom if not that?

MaureenCognito · 13/10/2012 18:19

lol at brandy - you are veering close to "twigs and pebbly shit"

Years ago when I was growing up we had a neighbour who used to call her baby daughter's bedroom the nursery. And to add insult to injury it was a tiny tiny room. I've not got a playroom a spice rack or a feature wall. Though I did fancy the idea of a mural in DD's bedroom once. But I think they've gone out of fashion now.

MrsMiniversCharlady · 13/10/2012 18:20

Can we add 'family room' to the list. It makes me feel stabby

Thewidewideworld · 13/10/2012 18:20

None of the above but I have a bloody great vase with twigs and fairy lights in the corner of the living room.

Inneedofbrandy · 13/10/2012 18:20

I have a pebbly shit with pot purri vase LOL and I don't care Draw the line at twigs! I aslo have matching photo frames in the hallway.

ujjayi · 13/10/2012 18:21

Hmm. So what should we call a room full of toys, books and games in which the DCs play? It isn't their bedroom, we don't generally hang out in there as we have separate sitting room (in which only books and board games are allowed because I want one room in the house which isn't full of Star Wars tat...so shoot me).

MrsCampbellBlack · 13/10/2012 18:21

My kettle is the same colour as my aga - is that ok Wink

peggyblackett · 13/10/2012 18:21

No, no and no

Inneedofbrandy · 13/10/2012 18:22

I would love a play room, it would be full of kids stuff and comfy sofas. Then I would have a parlour for any posh guest who come round LOL and I could escape from the DC!

Thewidewideworld · 13/10/2012 18:22

Oh yeh AND a canvas with my children's footprints on it over the living room fireplace.

Am I the biggest loser?

Sariah · 13/10/2012 18:22

So what is the proper term for a playroom then or is it just the fact that people have a room that is just used for the kids toys the problem? I have a press full of spices which would probably be easier to find and organise if I had a rack.

MaureenCognito · 13/10/2012 18:22
