I have a room with a treadmill (mostly used to hang coats on) and a yoga mat (rolled up in the corner).

Can I call it The Gym?

I would love a feature wall, unfortunately our house is mostly unchanged from when we bought it 6 years ago, so has a middle aged look Blush

In our house we have

Conservatory
Playroom
Living room
Kitchen

In the house we should exchange on next week we have

Conservatory
Playroom
Living room
Snug (not study, that's upstairs)
Entrance hall (bigger than the snug and deserving therefore of a name - apparently - according to the "property consultants" (note, not estate agents))

But no spice rack or feature wall.

Sara you could just ask her if that is worse than being sick sick? Or has she not vomited?
My mum would have gone spare if I ever said I was 'poorly'. Funny how these things are passed down. It's because of her I have no spice rack, feature wall, vase of twigs or a play room. Also no lounge, settee, etc etc. It's like a secret language, isn't it?
My dad really couldn't give a toss. Most advice I get from him is "kids are meant to be dirty" whenever I try to wipe DD's face Hmm

I have 4 spice racks

I don't use them anymore but they are Habitat ones, they are quite nice really, but now they're stuck behind a fridge freezerConfused

No feature wall here, that would involve decoratingHmm

Or playroom, that would involve a bigger house.....

I still don't see what the problem with "playroom" is.

Unless those of us with two reception rooms, neither of which needs to be a dining room, are supposed to jam all the sofas, tv, kids crap into one room and leave the other one empty?

WIN!

There's 8 walls in this room. How on earth would I choose one to cover with oversized stylised flowery wallpaper and call it a feature?

By my reckoning a standard Victorian terrace front room with a bay window has 12 walls btw, but four of them are tiny and three are mostly window.

My chimney wall is a feature wall.

My little spice rack sits in the mini alcove where the little doors are, originally there so one could pass through dishes from the kitchen into what was originally the living room/diner but they are now hid by an overly large TV and the dining room is in the extension. Hmm

I don't do play or rooms dedicated to, when they are not in school./nursery they are kept in cages in the garage.

I only have a jar of mixed spice it would look a bit lonely in a whole spice rack all by itself

Playroom yes ( they share a bedroom so all the mess is contained to one other room)
Spice rack- several, it's erm where the spices are! But they ate in the cupboard as make too much clutter. We also use every day, it's called cooking!
Feature wall- nope

I have magnetic spice jars on a kitchen wall. I have a playroom with a feature wall.

Am going to go and stick the magnetic spice jars onto the DCs magnetic board in the playroom with the feature wall.

I do believe I win. Grin

have a play room and study but no to spice rack as wouldn't know what to do with them and no to feature wall as we rent.

playroom is so that spoilt dcs have more space in their rooms and so that i can close the door and hide the tat.
