Are there DM fans on S&B?

Surely so Grin

Anyway, TK Maxx has loads in, just bought a pair of these for £39.99!

A Dr Marten Bargain!

LillethTheCat · 27/08/2012 15:33

I want some NOW :)

I had some years ago and I had them for years, but left them somewhere never to be returned Angry My own fault, but would really love another pair. Thanks for letting us know OP

AndieMatrix · 27/08/2012 15:35

Bargain! Neeeeed!!

veeeee · 27/08/2012 15:48

Wow that is a bargain! Me need some too!

gingerchick · 27/08/2012 15:50

I have purple ones :)

bawabod · 27/08/2012 15:53

Can I ask are they made in england because I am after a pair of there shoes as my old ones have had it but I only want the MIE hopefully without the price tag. I know a vast majority are made in china and I have to say there is a quality difference. So I would be grateful if you could let me know. Thanks

GobblersKnob · 27/08/2012 16:01

These ones? made in the UK.

No, they are the standard ones. The UK ones are slightly nicer (have seen them side by side full price) but at forty quid I am not going to look a gift horse in the mouth Grin

Thanks for that - dd is desperate for a pair of those!

Will visit tk maxx tomorrow - although by the law of sods, our store won't have them in....

bawabod · 27/08/2012 16:06

Thanks for that GobblersKnob I know what you mean about the cost its either holding out for a new pair of DMs or a pair of nice suede Hush Puppies, now that takes me back. But for me the excitement of winter always lies of being back in boots !!

BombusBombus · 27/08/2012 16:08

I hope they have some left!

Dawndonna · 27/08/2012 16:28

I have six pairs of DMs.
Blush

bawabod · 27/08/2012 16:37

Ok Dawndonna here goes I have 2 pairs of DM boots 3 pairs of the mary Jane DMs and a pair of shoes so spell out your variety gal !! but that aside nothing beats the DMs but I have acquired a few Fly boots over the years just round the corner from the DM shop in convent garden but they dont have the longevity of the DMs

Dawndonna · 27/08/2012 16:40

I've looked at Fly and thought some of them looked okay, and El Naturalista, but was concerned about longevity. I've been wearing the green and Purple boots for over ten years. I'd forgotten about my Mary Janes, making seven! They too are nearly ten years and still going strong.

bawabod · 27/08/2012 16:45

ok you beat me hands down on DM ownership but I love your taste Have you tried the Fly wedges I got a pair this summer really comfortable had to return loads of styles back via Amazon but finally found a pair and hope they last a few summers, gorgeous colours Sorry guys detracting from DMs apologies

chillikat · 27/08/2012 16:46

I wore DMs for my wedding - not the boots but shoes with a big heel. I was going nuts trying to find something to wear - they were perfect :) I have 2 pairs of heeled boots and a pair of sandals too. Strangely I've never owned a pair of the traditional boots. But I might be off to TK Maxx sometime this week to see what there is :)

HarlotOTara · 27/08/2012 16:53

I have four pairs of standard DMs - silver, red, black and bronze - and have just bought a pair of DM Case boots in grey which are the best biker boots I have found. I now want another pair in either black or brown

GobblersKnob · 27/08/2012 16:59

I have tried a few pairs of fly but they just don't suit the shape of my feet.

I have a 20 year old pair of these, these, these and my new 1914's. Love DM's Smile

Valpollicella · 27/08/2012 18:02

If anyone wants a pair of size 7, practically never worn 8 eyelet please do let me know.

Valpollicella · 27/08/2012 18:02

(should have said, black classics)

MrsMeow · 27/08/2012 18:11

Wow that's a great price! DD tried on a pair of bright pink DMs yesterday with denim shorts & black tights and they looked fab and took me back to my teen years

I have these DM Triumphs and absolutely love them. They look fan and didn't need breaking in at all :)

MrsMeow · 27/08/2012 18:12

Val how much are you thinking?

Valpollicella · 27/08/2012 18:15

No idea! Perhaps £30? Does that seem fair? Happy to negotiate as quite frankly they break my heart that they are too big for me everytime I see them!
