I have grown out my hair and it is entirely natural and light brown. I wear it wavy/curly and it is just on my bra strap.

I am liking this blonde dip dye effect.

At 33 am I to old and will it be a bit try hard. Will I regret reaching for the bottle now I am finally natural?

I have it done, i have black hair (think oriental) and have it blonde at the ends. Loads of people have commented and told me how nice it looks. Also looks far nicer when it is curled. i wanted this but hairdresser gave me a lot more blonde underneath but still looks lovely.

Why when I clicked on the Bala what ever link strawberry put up did I get a bit of a vogue article and then a flash of porn pictures titled local slags?
Did I do something wrong?
I feel icky.

SiriusStar · 22/08/2012 22:26

Frightene to click on any other links now.

ThisIsNotHoneyDragon · 22/08/2012 22:29

Ok. So those that think I am hideously old to have it done , any other low maintenance ideas to chuck a bit of blonde in?

ThisIsNotHoneyDragon · 22/08/2012 22:32

SiriusStar · 22/08/2012 22:33

Aargh. Will have to investigate. Sorry for interruption.

MrsRogerSterling · 22/08/2012 22:36

I got teen porn from strawberries link.

I love the dip dyed/ombre look. Go for it. Your hair looks very similar style wise to mine although you said yours in fine, mine is thick and prome to frizz.

tittytittyhanghang · 22/08/2012 22:37

Ha, ive just read the bit where you've mentioned chalking, which is spooky because i ordered some chalk on Saturday after reading a Daily Mail article about it. They've still not came yet though, hope they are here for Saturday as i would like to try out a rainbow effect.

ThisIsNotHoneyDragon · 22/08/2012 22:38

It's so cool isn't it? Grin

tittytittyhanghang · 22/08/2012 22:43

It looks way cool but im scared because im in Scotland and whilst it might be sunny in the morning it will probably be torrential rain by afternoon and i'll end up with coloured staining running down my clothes! But still gonna give it a try. Plus i like the idea that it washes out.

MyndAndMist · 22/08/2012 22:49

You're not too old at all! I'm 32 and mine looks like this

cocolepew · 22/08/2012 22:51

Chalk? Ordinary chalk or special chalk? showmeshowmeshowme

cocolepew · 22/08/2012 22:52

I was thinking off doing my ends pink (I'm dark red atm) and Im 43.

MyndAndMist · 22/08/2012 22:58

Do it coco! Dark red/pink is my next move I think, once I get bored of the blonde...

PacificDogwood · 22/08/2012 22:59

I could talk to you about henna... Grin

You look great.
I'd not mess with a permanent dye/bleach but love henna.

Have mentioned that henna is really great for hair condition/shine/structure? Does not need to be red...

ThisIsNotHoneyDragon · 22/08/2012 23:03

Oooooh likey a lot myth!

Pacific....henna gets you like that, then one day you stare at it and go, "nah, can't be arsed" Grin

StrawberrytallCAKE · 22/08/2012 23:05

Oh lord am I posting porn???? Might ask for that one to be taken down then....it was supposed to be a vogue page. Not feeling quite so classy now, sorry about that!

cocolepew · 22/08/2012 23:13

Im a hair dye whore. In the last 3 weeks I have stripped it,
bleached,
light brown,
highlights,
more bleach
and now red.

cocolepew · 22/08/2012 23:14

I'll have to do the pink now. Mynd told me to

PacificDogwood · 22/08/2012 23:20

Oh, I know, 'tis a phase.
Who says you need a Porsche for you midlife crisis when a cheap block of henna will do? Grin

Dip-dyeing at home, yourself, sounds a bit too scary for me...

ThisIsNotHoneyDragon · 22/08/2012 23:24

See my jan 2011 resolution was to go a year without colouring my hair and I still haven't Shock

Dh loved my hair blonde, but I can't be arsed with upkeep. This looks like a lazy way of being blonde.

I think I may attempt it ....

OP posts:
ThisIsNotHoneyDragon · 22/08/2012 23:25

Pacific, remind me. How long did you have that henna before you used it? Grin

OP posts:
whiteandyelloworchid · 22/08/2012 23:26

oh i love that dog, so handsome!

i like dipdyed red, but not blonde

cocolepew · 22/08/2012 23:26

I'm still waiting to be told about chalking your hair

Bravery or stupidity, they are close when it comes to me and my hair Pacific. I'm going to get up one morning and leave it on the pillow .
