I have grown out my hair and it is entirely natural and light brown. I wear it wavy/curly and it is just on my bra strap.

I am liking this blonde dip dye effect.

At 33 am I to old and will it be a bit try hard. Will I regret reaching for the bottle now I am finally natural?

It was Clairol. I had to get it fixed as I had a wedding to go to. They covered all the costs of fixing my hair Smile

Good luck, will you upload pics when it's done..I feel it is very important having been in the decision making team to know the outcome!

ThisIsNotHoneyDragon · 24/08/2012 20:34

Depends on the outcome! Green is the new blonde, right? Grin

I am hoping it is subtle like in the other pics. Have put second application on higher up the hair now and a few streaks so waiting to see how it takes.

I'm looking forward to sniggering.

Hully is getting to be a beautiful bitch, btw

ThisIsNotHoneyDragon · 24/08/2012 20:46

She is very pretty Smile, particularly lovely for a dog I did not want Blush

SecretNutellaMedallist · 24/08/2012 20:50

I'll never tell her.Grin

ThisIsNotHoneyDragon · 24/08/2012 20:52

More important, dh must never know how much I love her! Grin

Poor Hully, she'd be devastated to discover she was an unplanned Puppy Wink

Bugger - tints not lifting enough.

PacificDogwood · 24/08/2012 21:52

The dog is acuarly called Hully Grin

Are you ready to post pics yet, NotHoney?

ThisIsNotHoneyDragon · 24/08/2012 21:57

Yup, I named her HullyGullyPuppy Grin she is suspiciously like her name sake utterly bonkers

Well I can safely say I am not faffing with highlights again, this was much easier.

It's hardly noticeable (might get braver next time), but looks all sun kissed and a bit surfy. I shall post a picture in the morning too.

Ooh, sounds nice.

Sadly I won't be doing anything as adventurous as you until the temporary henna madness has left me.

Photos now, dammit!

SecretNutellaMedallist · 25/08/2012 10:32

Photos please Honey. Or I send a letter to DH detailing exactly how much you love the dog.Wink

Photos??
Come ON!

Dawndonna · 25/08/2012 12:16

I was going to say I thought you'd look good as a red head, Hully Honey. But it's a bit bloody late.

ThisIsNotHoneyDragon · 25/08/2012 22:14

Right loaded a photo but not sure you can see any difference at all as my house is so gloomy at the moment.

I did the Baylage painty thing using a tint brush and nappy bags and it has put very subtle lights through the hair. Makes it look more textured. I like it.

I think I should have gone a littler lighter but was worried about fading in in the sun .

I may be braver next time Grin, it is MASSIVELY easier than highlights though and looks more natural.

Very nice Honey, looks great.

I agree that using a brush is so much easier, I have been known to use a paintbrush Blush

missyb890 · 25/08/2012 23:51

I'm about to do the 'ombre hair' look as I recently found out it was called! I watched a you tube video and as she already had blonde hair she just dyed the tops parts darker which is how I will be doing it although I do have to get my hair from a golden blonde to a more lighter shade first.
After that I will be putting a mid blonde colour (my natural colour thats not been seen for ummm too many years!) through the roots and top section of my hair leaving it for 20mins to develop and then adding more dye to the mid sections of my hair for the last 10 mins leaving the bottoms blonde .... I am soooo excited lol!
Am hoping that it should come out quite nice or I could end up looking like a right chav Blush

PacificDogwood · 26/08/2012 10:38

Looks great, Honeydragon Smile!

Not at all like what my DH calls my 'stripey hair' = high lights Hmm.
Much more natural and sun kissed.

Maybe one day....

ThisIsNotHoneyDragon · 26/08/2012 11:00

It is really easy and much less margin for buggering it up, than messing around with foils.

Doing foils yourself with children around is always a risk though Hmm

This has to be one of the worst ad attempts I've ever seen on here, and that's saying something
