Right these

Seriously they are a fucking crime. Was at a party today where one of the mums was wearing them. She may has well had a dog walker fleece on. There are more stylish slips ons out there. STOP IT!! If you don't know what frumpy is, well you do now!!

Sorry, but you seriously need to get a life if you can get that worked up about somebody else's shoes....

RecursiveMoon · 21/07/2012 23:15

Phew, I had to check to see if I had a pair. I don't Smile.

kittyfishersknickers · 21/07/2012 23:16

Agreed - they are awful

GetOrfMoiiLand · 21/07/2012 23:17

All of their clothes are terrible.

CointreauVersial · 21/07/2012 23:19

I agree with you, OP, they are bogging.

I think my MIL wears them.

Brandnewbrighttomorrow · 21/07/2012 23:19

Rusty bear isn't that the point of style and beauty?!

Hideous. Did she have 'comedy' patterned socks on too?

besmirchedandbewildered · 21/07/2012 23:19

My mum has about 25 pairs of those. She is 72 and could not give two shits about whether they're stylish or not. One of the gazillion reasons she is brilliant.

I wouldn't give them house room meself Grin

pictish · 21/07/2012 23:20

Oh yes I agree. They make me shudder.

Pancakeflipper · 21/07/2012 23:20

OOh my MIL will love those.

Devora · 21/07/2012 23:20

I have a bit of a Sensible Footwear addiction myself, which can be hard to reconcile with any sense of style, but even I balk at those. They look as though they'd be a bit sweaty, don't they?

ThePigOnTheWall · 21/07/2012 23:21

Will you people stop posting hideous shoe links please. Because every time I go on amazon I'm getting recommended crocs and other such shite Angry

ThePigOnTheWall · 21/07/2012 23:22

And yes. They are utterly vile

NoComet · 21/07/2012 23:24

Crocs are positively stylish next to those!

CharlieUniformNovemberTango · 21/07/2012 23:26
Blush

I had a pair once. In Khaki green. I got them for £2 at a charity shop and was pleased at how comfy they were. I used them for long walks etc.

Until one day I stuck them on to pop around a friends house.

Her dad came in wearing the exact same pair.

I threw them away that day! I honestly wouldn't touch them now. I don't know what possessed me.

Whiteworm · 21/07/2012 23:26

Maybe I do need to get a life, but I am nowhere near perfect. But it infuriates me when women wear this sort of shite. Talk about giving up on your appearance.... The woman in question was late 30's and her husband quite attractive and she looked so dowdy in comparison. I am nowhere near perfect but I beleive it is important for your self esteem and partner to try just a little bit. No? We are all tired and have kids and maybe not as slim or attractive etc. (I am not) and have less time etc....well you all know what I am saying.

I had a pair for work years ago.. I worn in a nursing home so fashion is not a priority. Anyway, They fucking stank after a couple of wears.. My feet do not smell normally but seriously they were vile.

Women who wear these smell. Fact.

SugarBatty · 21/07/2012 23:32

Were they worn with cropped trousers? Pleeeeessseeee say no! They look like surf gear. Yak.

Methe · 21/07/2012 23:33

baggy NHS type nurses trousers.

They were UGLY. I have no Alibi.

Whiteworm · 21/07/2012 23:35

Lol Methe. My mum would eye them up until I steered her into a more glam/fashionable/classic option. She needs reminding she is a slim attractive 62 year old when she makes the effort. She says things like, oh does it matter? who is going to care? etc. Then when she looks great the look on her face is priceless. Which is what some women really need to remember, it does take time and effort but dont give up and wear shite from Cotton Traders and the like!!!

RustyBear · 21/07/2012 23:36

Maybe her attractive partner actually loves her and really doesn't care what her shoes look like? Maybe her self-esteem is good enough that she doesn't have to try to bolster it by pandering to fashion?

akaemmafrost · 21/07/2012 23:40

It's at times like this we really need a po face emoticon......

These actually used to quite trendy about 12 years ago. Loads of blokes wore them too with cropped trousers

Whiteworm · 21/07/2012 23:44

Absolutely RustyBear that maybe true. It is not even about fashion. Just turning up a party, or going somewhere other than to the petrol station, I would make an effort to have clean hair a smidge of make up and better shoes. They are truely hideous shoes!!!! I am not trying to be shallow, just think we can all make a bit of effort and avoid shite like said shoes!

Or perhaps her partner is not just a shallow pile of shite and respects her for WHO SHE IS and not just the shoes she chooses. Hmm

Whenthetoadcamehome · 21/07/2012 23:44

The likelihood is her self esteem is much higher than yours too if she doesn't give a damn what she looks like.
