It is this ....]]reviews.boots.com/2111-en_gb/867907/soap-glory-soap-glory-foot-buffer-reviews/reviews.htm here]]

I actually hate their range and don't use it - but took a punt on this foot file and it's really, really good.

Mine has arrived!!!! I can't wait for the kids to go to bed so I can try it out. Is it dangerous to file feet with minors around?

Ultrasonic · 14/03/2012 19:15

aWumblewhip Enjoy! Yes, very prudent to wait until the little ones are out the way, if you produce half the mountain of dead skin I did they'll be having snowball fights in it Grin
Gutted that it didn't make MN Swears By.
People have a right to know about such wonders!

EnsignRo · 14/03/2012 20:19

My first ever MN recommended purchase, and it is quite frankly miraculous! Thank you shiney Smile

eastnorth · 14/03/2012 21:21

I can't find it anywhere in boots , felt embarrassed to ask for it. Is it supposed to be with the foot stuff?

Used mine last night! Did the lemon juice thing for 5 mins and it did tingle when I first put it on. Definite improvement, much better than anything else I've used. I think I'll need another couple of goes on my trotters before i get feet as soft as a baby's bumGrin

madaboutmadmen · 14/03/2012 21:26

PS I didn't find mine with the foot stuff, it was with some other S&G stuff, not the shower gels though. Sorry not much use....

Stand down Grin

Has anyone carried out a lemon juice / just file test? I wish I had thought of one foot for each method.

My feet must be too lovely by now. I may give it a try tomorrow just for the heck of it.

badpoet · 14/03/2012 22:06

I NEED this! I tried a medium sized Boots and couldn't find it, I keep missing it online and I sent DH EXPLICIT instructions to buy it when he was in large Boots today and he came back with a nail buffer Hmm (I had clearly said that only s&g foot buffer would do, and given him various possible in-shop locations - should I leave the bastard?)

'Spose I'll have to haunt the Boots website until I strike lucky.

reckoner · 14/03/2012 22:22

DD had a wart on her finger and we were told that the treatment on NHS for verrucas and warts is duct tape. Got a leaflet. I was expecting it to be frozen off. Very dubiously put on sticky tape for two weeks. It fell went dark and fell off.

Still loving the foot file. Feet are much easier to keep soft now.

Jamdoughnutfiend · 14/03/2012 22:38

I got mine today and it is fabulous! As my feet are beyond hideous think it will take another go but had a very pleasant 45 mins of buffing and scrubbing - most satisfying! I ordered the S & G heel genius too, very moisturising and smells lovely. Thanks shiney. Thanks

LolaAnn · 14/03/2012 23:04

ok I just bought mine from Westfield (Stratford). There was only one left. Was with the shower scrubbers etc not in the nail section. Hope my feet are ready for this...

shinecrazydiamond · 14/03/2012 23:30

'Stand down' made me laugh Grin

This is almost like a new clique isn't it? Wink

I am so excited by my feet, I can't tell you. They are painted in a very nice shade, they are very smooth and I have a little buff every day even though there is really no need at all. I just like doing it. I may have to invest in 'Heel Genius' - although I am no fan of S and G.

having said that though... I have discovered another amazing product of theirs! It is... a body polisher sponge! What makes this one different is that it is twice the size and thickness of the usual crappy thin ones and it REALLY makes a difference. Available only in pink I think and £3.50 ish - but really, very good indeed.

Grin 'although I am no fan of S and G' after starting a 168 post long thread about one of their products then telling us another is 'really, very good indeed'.

I had a go with mine last night once the children were safely in bed, it was tricky, a bit dark and needed to be a bit of a contortionist to get to the part of my foot that needed it, but all in all seemed very good indeed *

  • Disclaimer, this is the only foot file I have tested, other foot files might be just as filey for all I know
MarkStretch · 15/03/2012 08:16

Get to Boots in Norwich- they have loads!

I will be trying mine today. I am assuming your feet need to be dry, yes?

supernannyisace · 15/03/2012 08:26

It is out of stock on line. ):

Looks good though!

Must say though - the best treatment I ever used on my feet - was some lotion from QVC. Had to soak cotton wool in this liquid and clingfilm it to feet. After 15 mins or so - then scrape off the softened gunk.. It was fab! Quite pricey though. Not seen if for a while - it is probably highly toxic Grin.

shinecrazydiamond · 15/03/2012 10:03

mark - yes , dry feet.

Wimba - umm, yes. Good point!

perceptionreality · 15/03/2012 10:39

Mine just arrived - what an amazing product!! The difference with this foot file, of course is that it actually removes the dead skin instead of scratching the surface. I have never used anything that works anywhere near as well.

When I trained to do pedicures the foot files in our (professional) kits did not work at all.

Everyone needs one of these!! I will be buying my mum one for mother's day.

Shinecrazydiamond, thank you so much for this recommendation!

ruby22 · 15/03/2012 11:02

Have been out twice to source one, but no luck so far, contemplating a trip to Norwich but as it's a 500 mile round trip debating whether I would really manage it in between the school runs Grin Grin
Will activate family members in other parts of the uk to act as foot file finding agents, could anyone post a link to what it looks like in the packaging, I need to make a 'wanted' poster.
Very envious of you all filing and smoothing away while my trotters remain in an unthinkable state Envy

Eggrules · 15/03/2012 11:17

ruby22 there is no packaging looks just like this. It is well hidden though.

pocketandsweet · 15/03/2012 12:07

wow. What do we have to DO to get this to the Mumsnet Recommends status. Look what Shiney has started....
