It is this ....]]reviews.boots.com/2111-en_gb/867907/soap-glory-soap-glory-foot-buffer-reviews/reviews.htm here]]

I actually hate their range and don't use it - but took a punt on this foot file and it's really, really good.

marking place.....

my feet are horrendous though. DD gave me verrucas about 4 years ago. they just breed. i tired everything - including liquid nitrogen at the doctors....nothing will move these bastards.
i was assured they would go on their own. wrong. i fear they are a permanent fixture.
do you reckon i could file the fuckers off?

ProcrastinateWildly · 13/03/2012 22:33

You probably could, but there might be a danger the virus would just spread more. This foot file would definitely be up to the job though, it's shit hot!

shinecrazydiamond · 13/03/2012 22:44

Grin at ultrasonic - i laughed loads at that. And thank you for a mental image that shall now probably never leave me!

Re verrucas, i think the best thing to do is just leave them alone, so no treatments at all. Your body will overcome the virus naturally and they will go - i think this is the current advice, but i suppose it depends on how bad they are?

ruby - i wouldnt bother re lemons. sounds like a faff to me... i can imagine one big sticky mess of skin ...eek!

Vicar I have fucking (yes FUCKING) verrucas too, for years, I am reading this thinking this may be the end of their life... I neeed a magic foot improver.
Am visiting Boots on the morrow. Bet there's no mumsnetters in my town, although I s'pose we do have a waitrose so they might be visiting.
AWimbaWay your username remind me of the way my dd(5) sings that song, she thinks it goes ah oooooooo oooooooooooo aaaa wumble whip, a wumble whip, a wumble whip etc. Makes me chuckle.

ThatVikRinA22 · 13/03/2012 22:58

i have left them alone for 4 years. they are breeding. they are getting bigger. i hope i never get struck my lightening as i fear it would breath life into them ....they would try and get me burned off at the doctors.

pamplemousse · 13/03/2012 23:06

I have mine years too, sorry shiney we are discussing vile warty things on your nice feet thread, lightening might help?!
Did see a chiropodist for a bit but stopped as it was hideously painful and £20 a time. She would take all the skin off and then put stingy stuff on them.
Anyway I'll stop now, I'm feeling guilty about lowering the tone, sorry!

jaquelinehyde · 13/03/2012 23:13

I love my S&G foot file, had it since last year and it is the best one I have ever used.

ThatVikRinA22 · 13/03/2012 23:15

yes im sorry, just wait for the thread entitled "i am a verruca and i have this strange growth...."

i will stop lowering the tone aswell. Grin

i might get a file anyway....just for the day i can use it with gay abandon on my verruca free feet...

Ultrasonic · 13/03/2012 23:23

FINISHED!!
Grin
'Tis truly marvellous, my feet are actually GLOWING and I reckon I've worked off my bingo wings with all that vigorous hacking!
Awesome product, thanks for sharing Shiney

Vicar I'm sorry to say I too tried everything to rid myself of those pesky things (both feet-loads on each) I had them for a few years. Had them burnt, scraped, you name it, nothing worked.
Like Shiney mentioned, it's a virus, once it leaves your body they go. Mine literally all disappeared entirely within a week. Not much consolation but I guess if you've had them four years already they'll pop off fairly soon?!

shinecrazydiamond · 13/03/2012 23:26

ultrasonic - you are making me proper LOL [ and I never LOL]

shinecrazydiamond · 13/03/2012 23:26

Ultrasonic · 13/03/2012 23:26

Ruby sorry about waking the baby Grin
I did do the lemon thing (real ones squashed over heels) but not sure it's really nec

Ultrasonic · 13/03/2012 23:27

LOL ? LOL ?
Please try to remember where you are!

AWimbaWay · 14/03/2012 08:10

lemons aren't sticky though, I sometimes wash my hands with a lemon to get rid of the smell of garlic, lovely and fresh, not sticky at all.

I am now considering changing my name to AWumbleWhip pamplemousse.

Ultrasonic Grin, I am sooo looking forward to creating my own skin haystack.

OatcakeCravings · 14/03/2012 09:08

I have just ordered one from Boots.com on this recommendation. My feet are beyond manky though, loads of dry skin and cracked heels (and Scholl cracked heel repair doesn't fix them). Do you think that it will work on feet which are possibly beyond redemption? Grin

RoxyRobin · 14/03/2012 09:14

Have this to shout to verruca hosts: DUCK TAPE!!!

I developed a whole bunch of these on my foot last year (suspect I picked them up in a shower when I'd been camping - had never had them before and this was the only exposure my plates ever got to communal facilities). I read about the duck tape treatment after googling but was extremely Hmm as I'd never had much luck with alternative treatments for anything in the past.

Just shove little patches of tape on the blighters and replace it when it becomes unstuck. The centre of the verruca gets soft - I'd gently scrape the soft bits out with the pointy end of a metal nail file. I persisted for about six weeks and eventually the wretched things disappeared for good. I was amazed and gratified. Keeping my toes crossed they'll stay away.

Plenty of people said this hadn't worked for them, but it's surely worth a try - duck tape is cheap, the treatment is not messy, and it doesn't take up much of your time.

Eggrules · 14/03/2012 09:34

I filed again last night and my feet are now very smooth.

I am envious of Ultrasonic's haystack, not much waste produced here. I think if I do this each night before my bath/shower, I will get baby feet.

jaquelinehyde I am glad to hear yours is going strong after a year. I was wondering how long it would last.

shinecrazydiamond · 14/03/2012 10:31

oatcake - I should think it will be uber satisfying on really bad, hard skin. I had some satisfaction but I really keep on top of maintenance of my heels as it's something I always notice on others in the summer.

WannaBeWildCosMyLifesSoTame · 14/03/2012 10:33

I got this last year and agree that it's the best foot file I've ever had, probably need a new one now as I've worn it down with my rough old trotters!

I also used the little mini file that comes with it on DDs verrucas and I'm sure it helped get rid of them, you do need to be quite aggressive with the little buggers.

RoxyRobin · 14/03/2012 10:35

Shiney - must say that for a 'dull' topic, this thread has certainly got legs! Grin

shinecrazydiamond · 14/03/2012 10:37

Just goes to show doesn't it Roxy? Grin We all want lovely feet!

OP posts:
AWimbaWay · 14/03/2012 14:48

The foot file didn't make the Mumsnet swears by weekly email Hmm.

shinecrazydiamond · 14/03/2012 16:14

how can it not?!?

What an outrage!

Is it because it's a boring foot file?

treetrunkthighs · 14/03/2012 18:07

GrinGrinGrin

Bought mine today after reading this last night. It is FAB! Took 5 minutes. I forgot I'd done it and have just taken my socks off and been surprised by my soft feet Grin

Thank you thank you

tiokiko · 14/03/2012 18:46

Have ordered mine today, can't wait!
