It is this ....]]reviews.boots.com/2111-en_gb/867907/soap-glory-soap-glory-foot-buffer-reviews/reviews.htm here]]

I actually hate their range and don't use it - but took a punt on this foot file and it's really, really good.

what is that kick ass concealer like then? looks good but a bit dry

MissFoodie · 08/03/2012 17:38

and yes, s&g is a bit cheap/nasty/full of chemicals

pocketandsweet · 08/03/2012 17:44

In my opinion it is utter rubbish. too thick and then with a powder to put on top. Useless. I have tried every different method of applying and it is just pants. I have only not thrown it out because I am soooo cheap- I figure it might cover up an ingrown leg scar or two in the summer. Probably I am so very bitter about it because not only did I waste my precious Boots points but also because it settled into lines under my eyes thus alerting me to wrinkles I didn't even previously know that I had!

MissFoodie · 08/03/2012 17:45

oh no :(

Eggrules · 08/03/2012 18:00

I love S&G shower gel, shampoo and conditioners. Don't like their make up but was recommended THICK & FAST? MASCARA FALSE LASH EFFECT MASCARA

shinecrazydiamond · 08/03/2012 18:07

pocket- take it back, say it's terrible and get a refund!

OP posts:
pocketandsweet · 08/03/2012 19:52

I would but I haven't the receipt anymore... Actually I'm rubbish at taking things like that back. So instead I will just warn everyone else here off it! I will try the foot file though after your glowing review.

shinecrazydiamond · 09/03/2012 11:01

Have you all rushed out and bought it?

OP posts:
AWimbaWay · 09/03/2012 12:01

I want one too, I've never used any kind of buffer, file foot thingy but recently have hideous thick dry cracked skin right in the middle on the bottom of my feet, do you think it'll help?

pocketandsweet · 09/03/2012 12:01

YES.... Now when I get a minute I will give it a go. First day of potty training here for DD2 so not too much time for relaxing.

shinecrazydiamond · 09/03/2012 12:25

Wimba - yes, you need it.

OP posts:
wools · 09/03/2012 13:36

I've just bought one of these on your recommendation - can't wait to try it now.

shinecrazydiamond · 09/03/2012 13:37

Oh I hope I won't let you all down Grin

Here is a small tip... when you have rubbed it over your foot back and forth maybe 5 or 6 times, blow on the metal plate to dislodge the dead skin and only use the smoother side at the end of the session... it really smooths your heels and makes them shine a bit!

OP posts:
AWimbaWay · 09/03/2012 13:55

I'm quite excited, but can't get to the shops until tomorrow I will just have to sit here picking at the dead skin with my nails like I normally do, ewww.

RoxyRobin · 09/03/2012 14:03

I've got a Dr Scholl one which is a bit disappointing, so I might give this a go. But I've got a suspicious mind - are you getting a commission?

Pseudonymity · 09/03/2012 14:11

Is this 'cheese grater' style?

pocketandsweet · 09/03/2012 14:31

OK feet done. WOW. V effective but initially I was a bit scared.... Only previously had the sandpaper kind of ones from Body Shop and Scholls. Definitely better but I was paying very close attention lest I rub across non scaley skin. thanks Shiney Thanks

shinecrazydiamond · 09/03/2012 14:36

Roxy - I have been on MN for 5 odd years now - no one has offered me a commission yet Grin

OP posts:
shinecrazydiamond · 09/03/2012 14:38

Pseud - yes, I guess so. But really effective.

Collect flowers from Pocket with thanks Smile I knew you would like it

ProcrastinateWildly · 09/03/2012 14:42

I'm going to go and get it with my advantage card points. It had better be good Grin. Will report back.

RoxyRobin · 09/03/2012 14:42

Yes, but times is hard ... by the way, would you like to buy a lovely Dr Scholl foot file, one slatternly careful owner?

shinecrazydiamond · 09/03/2012 14:44

Oh i have that one Roxy and I am distinctly unimpressed. You can keep it but thank you for your kind offer.

Just think - we will all have lovely feet come the warmer weather and I will no longer be subjected to looking at people's cracked heels in summer shoes - this is my pet hate.

Mind you, I am still clinging onto my Ugg boots for now

OP posts:
Misscatterpuss · 09/03/2012 14:50

I'm in. Just picked one up. Can't wait to get rid of my manky feet.

shinecrazydiamond · 09/03/2012 14:54

The problem is I want to do it constantly now - even though my feet could not be smoother.

Don't suppose I could tempt you all to the new Chanel polish in 'April? ' Grin

I recently discovered S&G (bumper pack thing for Xmas from DB) and really like the stuff on a day-to-day basis. Don't get the chemically smell at all. If anything, it's a bit pink and flowery smelling to me (I like purple smells - oriental / patchoulli and the like)

Their foot cream is absolutely incredible - I have dire foot skin (bit ocd about tights and socks so always have bare feet) and spent bazillions on feet unguents and potions over the years and theirs is best by far. Will be rushing out at some point Grin to get the S&G foot file thing. Thanks for the heads up!
