Hello all!

OP posts:

I love doing that Decameron. In fact did it last night. Every year I get a bag skip (only 55 euro) and get rid of all the junk, which mostly consists of broken toys and games. I go to other people's houses and am amazed at how well "stocked" their play rooms are with unbroken toys, complete jigsaw puzzles, games etc
Love that carven dress Bloss and agree with Momatrix that you could completely rock the look during the day with shoe boots, blazer and opaques. I have a black carven from last year, and have to say it's like wearing spanx, it holds everything in, so maybe the bottomwobble wouldn't feature as badly as you would fear. (I'm am trying to convince myself here!)
Did Shred as well this evening, God I find it hard, even though I am reasonably (I think myself) fit.
Agree with Fritzi, you are such a great neighbour and friend Ollie. I know you were feeling a bit put out recently, that you're the one who makes all the effort, but I would say you are the organiser who everyone relies on. Otherwise you would not have all those people turning up for tapas tonight! Wish you lived near me!
Had the lovliest letter today from a family I deal with work wise. It made me feel very emotional. (am changing jobs in a few weeks) I plan on holding onto it, so that I can look at it whenever I am getting stressed out in the future.

Hopefully · 07/03/2012 20:30

NY you're right about the exercise (of course). I'm hoping that this last real push with increasing the weights and working out 6 days a week will get me through the last bit of weight loss and improve my fitness again, and then I can at least get to a maintenance level rather than a constantly-increasing-the-suffering level.

Marsha thank you. It will all work out, I'm sure, but I am truly shite at staying zen about it all in the meantime! I'm such a control freak, I hate waiting to see how things pan out. I may have mentioned this before... Grin

I really like this helmut lang and I wish it would sell out in my size so I can stop pining over it. I know it wouldn't actually be right for me (too neutral, black isn't right and the neckline needs to be an inch lower), but I love it so!

FritziGreenEyes · 07/03/2012 20:35

bloss WC scarf for you?

Mominatrix · 07/03/2012 20:45

Hopefully - nice looking dress. The thing which puts me off are the words "linen blend".

Anyone seen another version of this shoe around? They are sold out in my size online. I suppose I could go to the Zara at Westfield to look for it, but I know I'd make too many detours and end up buying things I never meant to.

blossoming · 07/03/2012 20:55

Thanks for the info mominatrix. I don't think I will have time though. And my everyday wardrobe is lkbennett/whistles for work followed by workout clothes! I have barely worn my roxy or my 50/50s. But I know they are classics and they are ready to be worn ie this weekend, visiting friends and watching rugby. There's no carven in Cardiff is there? So that dress really would be a one hit wonder!
Thanks for the scarf link fritzi. The flowers aren't right for me unfortunately. I am finding it impossible to find a good scarf this year. The one I got from Viyella Blush is perfect colour wise and pattern wise, just too small.

blossoming · 07/03/2012 20:56

Oh, meant to say hopefully, maybe it's a terrible dress. Very odd it isn't selling out on the Outnet!

bretonbee · 07/03/2012 21:28

hello all - since finally plucking up the courage to post a couple of weeks ago, have been rubbish at contributing. My excuse was that was away skiing last week and its taken me an age to catch up skim through.

hopefully I have similar style HL dress in all black, its very flattering although due to lack of social life have only worn it once in an entire year so rubbish on a cost per wear basis Blush

DP bought me navy snakeskin-a-like Alexa at Heathrow that I really liked, haven't yet unpacked it from its bag though. Very generous of him but we are going through a major rough patch (probably terminal) so feels a bit weird to get a big present. Will probably get over it by the weekend though Wink as sure I deserve cheering up.

blossoming · 07/03/2012 21:37

Good to 'see' you again breton, but sorry to hear that.

What an aspirational school run outfit here

bretonbee · 07/03/2012 21:49

thanks bloss, love that outfit

Hopefully · 08/03/2012 06:51

Breton sorry to hear your news, but don'feel guilty about the bag - you definitely deserve it if you're going through that kind of rubbish! Lots of women on this thread with experience of relationship dramas if you're looking for any advice/support.

notyummy · 08/03/2012 07:18

Morning all.

Sorry to hear your news Breton. It must be very draining and stressful.

Am on train to Birmingham wearing purple Warehouse dress that I bought in December- fantastic for work. Long sleeved, plain apart from a cross over belt and just below the knee. High necked and fitted to the waist with an A line skirt. On reflection, I think purple must be one of 'my' colours as I nearly always get compliments when I wear purple clothes!

Not really looking forward to the day as am Chairing something so must stay alert despite being knackered. DH had to get up at 515 and tried to be quiet but woke me and then it wasn't worth trying to sleep as by the time I would have drifted off it would be time to get up.

Birthing thoughts to those who want them!

I wan't 'em, I wan't 'em NY Grin. Hope today is not too tiring for you.

Sorry to hear that Breton, as Hopefully says lots of wise posters here if you need them.

That's a fab outfit Bloss. Reminds me that I need some new indigo skinnies too. Confirms though that It will be wise to save on TS coloured skinnies but invest in new indigos and grey ones.

Dare I say it...but my Mum is being really helpful. Its been a blessing having help with DS. She will go home tonight, so I have been very lucky to get two days help.

Icey, it's a full moon tonight....you never know!

AntPants1 · 08/03/2012 08:01

Hi all. Just trying to summon the energy to trek to work. Big kiss to icey and MIM.

Hello to bretton sorry to hear life is tough at the moment.

ollie I have just got the me and em dress but have not had a chance to have a proper try on.

Ladies I have no idea what I am going to wear for MU. Am packing a lot of extra weight at the moment so do not really feel comfortable in anything. oh Crap!!!

NY I think your colouring is perfect for purple. Dress sounds great. Have a good day

pickledsiblings · 08/03/2012 08:10

Queuing outside H&M in the cold. Don't know why really as I'm convinced the clothes are not for me. Might pick up a couple of things for one of my lovely Autumn friends who has to work today.

FritziGreenEyes · 08/03/2012 08:42

Can you believe it: In the queue behind me are two women, who made an hours' journey by car to get here this morning Grin

pickledsiblings · 08/03/2012 08:48

Fritzi, the straight skirts would be great on you - you could wear them with a white t and chunky necklace + bracelet.

bretonbee · 08/03/2012 08:50

Thanks ladies you are very kind. It is very draining at the moment but we are trying to stay really good friends and am quite hopeful about that at the moment. For the future we will see.....

Got up early this morning for an 8 a.m. meeting which was cancelled at 7.54 Grrrrr. Maybe that means I can pop out to H&M at lunchtime....although maybe that will be carnage and not sure anything that is really me.

Russianred · 08/03/2012 08:54

I know i've missed plenty but am being lured in by this Marni excitement. Refreshing the page keenly. What are you after Pickled? Fritzi hope your elbows are sharpened!

Breton you sound really positive in spite of what must be a gut-wrenchingly awful time. Hope we can all offer you some support.

pickledsiblings · 08/03/2012 08:55

Breton, flagship NY store sold out in 30 mins.

Russianred · 08/03/2012 08:55

I like the look of the accessories, but the clothes are not really for me. Who wants to place bets that I end up with nothing?!

Russianred · 08/03/2012 08:56

Fritzi is it really awful of me to ask you to get something for me if you see it?

pickledsiblings · 08/03/2012 08:56

Shoes Red and tops/skirts/dress/bracelet/necklace...

Russianred · 08/03/2012 08:58

Ooh you're going for it Pickled. Necklace/hat here.
