Marsha Gwynnie is wearing your mih blouse in her latest GOOP. Actually there is some nice stuff there, a lot of it we have already linked to. Are you lurking, Gwyneth?

Oh, Slaymill that's tough. My birthday is coming up soon, last year dh was playing a vital rugby match, this year he'll be at a work conference Hmm He will be paying for the dc, my mum and I to go out to dinner though, I better mention that to him soon! Are your dc young (sorry if you've already said), extra hug if they are and have some Thanks I love that j crew Celine-a-like too, but could not possibly justify another navy bag.....or could I?

I just made a gigantic rice crispy cake in my biggest roasting dish. Used a whole box of rice crispies, 6 large bars of chocolate and 6 packets of smarties to decorate. It is the first cake sale I have contributed to in DS1's secondary school, don't want to let the side down!

Thanks for the link Hopefully, great work Smile

Red thanks for the arnica tip, dh brought some home for me. Bruise is no longer navy, has swirls of red in it now (sorry TMI). I have never seen a bruise like it, hence my morbid fascination Blush

Ollie what's the verdict on the dress?

Fritzi I would like to go on holiday to that White Co catalogue, see you there?

I'll be sorry in the morning if I don't go to bed right now.

VerityBrulee · 01/03/2012 23:15

Annie I was just wondering how you are, you're usually around at this time. Take care of yourself, and kisses to your dd as an apology in taking so long to get to the post office!

VerityBrulee · 01/03/2012 23:38

nye enjoy your v well deserved break Smile Wise about the trench I think, I have one that I shortened but it only looks good with trousers so not v versatile.

Good morning.

Was browsing the thread last night and realised I have missed so much - have been very me,me,me. So sorry, especially to Verity and the sad news of your Mothers friend.

Also forgot to say hello to Slaymill and welcome. Sorry to here your DH is away at the moment. DH missed mine last year, I managed to cheer myself up with a Thai takeaway and a glass of wine! I have the White Company top you link ed to in white, it's lovely.

Hope Icey is ok.

Fritzi I laughed at your comment about the WC catalogue. We have a store in our town, and sometimes I'd like to just move in, in there and waft about in the calmness and serenity of it all. Grin

NYE enjoy your child free time, you 100% deserve it. Thanks

Scarf, my wish list is now:

Tan Hobo
Black Hobo-ish bag (could wait until winter now though)
2-3 pairs of coloured skinnies
nude ballet flats
lightwear spring knitwear, i.e this but not this colour
White short sleeved shirt similar to the MIH
Grey Skinnies
Olive skinnies/houlihans
Tops...always on my wishlist, like Bloss

I suspect there's more though!

Thinking about getting this given the 25% to go with my Houliahans. Looks dreadful on the JL site but is nice in RL. Am just worried it'll be a bit draining.

Decameron · 02/03/2012 09:01

It's carciofi/scarf here. I didn't take to my new handle.

Enjoy your break, NYE.

Good list, Mim. The coral sweater and I share a name. Well, that's my nickname. I'd like grey jeans too but haven't seen any yet that I really like.

Jigsaw have some lovely tops, I went off them for years but I like their stuff again now.

Good luck with all your work Annie. Clients don't care!

Got my navy J Brands from the neighbour so now I have a pair of Nobody navy skinny jeans size 29 for the price of postage if anyone wants them. The rise is too low for me. They'll be going to the charity shop tomorrow morning if no takers.

DD1 is still not 100% so is lying on the sofa in her ballet outfit, shouting orders.

Decameron · 02/03/2012 09:04

Gap 30% off until Sunday with the code GAPSTYLE.

IceCreamCastles · 02/03/2012 09:09

Great wishlist MiM

I'm still here, still waiting. Going out for meal tonight so will choose something spicy!

OllieinOrange · 02/03/2012 09:14

I didnt post on here yesterday - how did that happen Smile

Had a lovely evening at a friends house last night - we sat and drank tea, ate lots of cake and just looked at loads of links on the laptop. I introduced her to the wonderful world of Me and Em and of Massimo Dutti!

Speaking of Me and Em, I have ordered the dress in blue and grey. Joseph one is going back, took some pics and its nice but not nice enough. Didnt really do me any favours around the middle. I must sound incredidbly fussy????

Ive got a 30% off Gap code for 3 days = GAPSTYLE. Wanted Pickled's jumper in navy but no longer on the website.

MiM thats a great SS list.

Verity I would love a WC holiday. There is a nice interiors chain over here (very New England/Shaker style stuff, big squashy linen sofas, oversized lamps, lots of whites, taupes and cool blues) which has furnished a hotel. I'd love to stay there.
Slay thats tough about DH. Do you have family nearby who help you? Hope so.
Hopefully your WE sounds great. 36 hours will seem like a week, enjoy.
Bloss I quite like that MV top, thanks for thinking of me. I really need tops. Will add to my try on list for London.

No sign of any sun over here. Was wondering when I can start wearing my white jeans again - is there an official "first day of white jeans" a bit like the first day of Spring?

OllieinOrange · 02/03/2012 09:16

Icey have you thought about a spot of nipple tweaking? Seemed to work for Apuski? Smile

OllieinOrange · 02/03/2012 09:22

Oh Decameron if no-one else wants them, Id like to try your Nobody's - or are they really, really low rise ?

If they dont mind, maybe you could post them to one of the MU ladies (am sharing with Pickled and Red) to save the extra postage costs over here? Happy to give you a donation for them?

MidnightinMoscow · 02/03/2012 09:29

Icey I saw my friend the other day who was 1 week overdue, and swears that nipple tweaking got her going. It's on my list of things to do as well. Mine is back to back at the moment, so about to vigorously start cleaning the house in attempt to move it.

Wise to send the Joseph back Ollie, needs to be 100% perfect. Fingers crossed for the Me and Em. Not sure when white jeans weather starts, I'd be looking to our guru MrsCB for that. Was frosty and misty here this morning, very un-spring like.

Will check Jigsaw site for some inspiration Decameron.

MidnightinMoscow · 02/03/2012 09:35

Oh I like this

Also, I have my eye one this bag. Basically I need a bag that I can use as a changing bag that will work as a shoulder bag at the same time.

Decameron · 02/03/2012 09:36

Ollie, I'm happy to post them to you. They are not mega low-rise, about 7.5" maybe 8. They are like this.I just prefer the majors and don't need two pairs of navy twill jeans. The clutter is annoying me as our house is small. I realised that much of the clutter is caused by me! And all the bloomin toys everywhere.
I think you'll like the Me & Em dress.

Decameron · 02/03/2012 09:39

Ollie, can you pls pm me your address?

Nice scarf and bag, Mim. I like this top. Also saw these Massimo Dutti ballerinas in Vogue but have never tried their shoes, are they comfortable?

pickledsiblings · 02/03/2012 09:49

Morning lovelies Smile

Decameron, I have decided to send my lovely Massimo Dutti shoes back as they are probably too high. They do seem to be cut for the delicate/slim of foot and appear well made. DD has some boots that she says are very comfy.

Can someone link to the navy J Crew bag - have looked and couldn't see one on website - slay/Decam?

Ollie, I hope I didn't put you off the Joseph dress Smile.

notyummy · 02/03/2012 09:51

Hi all.

Hope you are bearing up ok MIM and Icey.

Slay - there are a few of us on here with DPs that are away a lot. It can be wearing, I know!

NYE - I hope you really enjoy your well earned break.

Went out to dinner with friends last night wearing new panther print blouse and MIH skinnies from the lovely Vin with wedge boots. Was nice, but I have been feeling out of sorts for a few days now. Utterly knackered, yet not sleeping properly, with a constant headache. Grim. Am able to control the headache a bit with a combination of migraine medication and codeine, but its pretty strong stuff and I would rather not be popping pills right, left and centre. Anyway, early night tonight and no coffee after 1pm today - will see if that helps.

Have had to give that Dressipi thing a try. Actually quite liked most of the recommendations, although was slightly Hmm at the things I shouldn't wear. Baseball jacket....?! But also skinnies and skinny cargos....boyth of which I wear regularly . I think I may have exaggarated my pear-shapedness and sent the computer programme into a frenzy......

Fog clearing here and I am about to do some housework before heading out for a run. Hope you all have good days.

OllieinOrange · 02/03/2012 10:12

Thats great DeCameron, thank you. Will PM you now, let me have your email address so I can payal you the P&P?

Is Hopefully and her colour wisdom about? I keep looking at this MD shirt here. There is one pale pink swatch in my Summer book but can't say I ever wear pink. Would this be ok for a Summer - esp as there is blue up around the neckline? Or is it more nude than pink?

Bloss your MV top link made me think of this Nicole Farhi top. Also comes in white.

Pickled course not, the camera never lies as they say! I love how grounded you always are. Thanks

Pseudonymity · 02/03/2012 10:45

Hello again from planet lurk Blush.

Someone upthread (think it was Scarf) asked me what I had been inspired to purchase as a result of lurking your links.

So, I'll fess up to it:

Ash Jess Bis boots in black

M&S black platform heels

NL Marant rip-offs in tan (haven't arrived yet).

Jillian Michaels 'Master Your Metabolism' Blush

Kooples leather collar wool jersey dress

Goodness, I'm a bit shocked writing it down, that isn't even all of it.

Keep up the good work ladies. I reckon you could jack in your careers and conspire to have a collective 'stylists' atelier' Grin.

Hopefully · 02/03/2012 11:01

Ollie I'm no expert on the summer colours, but that top looks more peach/nude than pink, so possibly too warm for summer?
