Hello all!

OP posts:
notyummy · 02/03/2012 11:18

Have just found out that my friend who had the bouncing baby yesterday has called her new dd Hazel - what a lovely name! There were quite a few when I was growing up, but not very common at the moment.

Nice work, Pseudonimity!

Cool, Pickled, the MD shoes sound good. I haven't seen the J Crew bag but this is the Whistles navy bag.

Ollie, I tried that Nicole Farhi top on recently and was very tempted.

Decameron · 02/03/2012 11:20

Lovely name, NY. Hope you feel better soon.

Slaymill · 02/03/2012 11:25

Morning,

Firstly I appreciate all your kind thoughts about my DP doing a disappearing act for March. Thank for the flowers Verity my eldest is 3 and didn`t notice when I changed his birthday by two weeks. Perhaps I should do that !.

Will actually take your lead MIM and get a take away and wine. I like your list similar to my list in progress.

annie not forces he is a Mechanical engineer, works all over the world but, apart from seeing airports he spends his time in large steel plants.

Now the important news sorry pickled the J.Crew in Navy has sold out on their website ! I`ll try and find it in the UK.

Sorry about the dress Ollie better to use the money elsewhere finges crossed for M&E dress.

Decameron glad you got your J. Brands, don`t talk to me about toys pesky little things !

VerityBrulee · 02/03/2012 11:29

Pickled this is the j crew, seems to have sold out in navy.

NY hope your headache clears today

VerityBrulee · 02/03/2012 11:32

Ah, x posts about the j crew, the canvas versions are good too.

Good idea about moving your birthday Slaymill or just have 2 Smile

MrsCampbellBlack · 02/03/2012 11:36

Morning!

Just been to poetry cafe at DS's school - very sweet and DS most excited as he got to eat a piece of the coffee and walnut cake I made which he was most loathe to take into school.

Right - off to put some make up on before meeting Red this pm.

Slaymill · 02/03/2012 11:47

Hope you get some much needed R&R this weekend NY

NAP J. Crew selection is woeful will be happy when they get their London store.

confirmed

I sure they are operating a wait list.

Decameron thanks for the Whistles link.

Decameron · 02/03/2012 11:49

Excellent, I like J Crew.

Harvey Nicks sells Club Monaco now, which I used to buy a lot in the US, but it is a lot more expensive here (as are most things!).

pickledsiblings · 02/03/2012 12:25

Ah Verity, 'twas you obsessing about the navy bag - I might have known Grin. Both it and the Whistles one are a little too prim structured for me unfortunately. Slouchy I can do!

I'm quite liking this clay coloured Kew bag and these stone coloured Jamies - have seen these in rl and they are a fab putty colour. Would look lovely with nice white t and baseball boots (just not on me).

NY, your job is so full on that a few days of it would be enough to give me a permanent headache. Maybe a trip to the osteopath/chiropractor would help?

AmberNectarine · 02/03/2012 12:29

Right, NL boots have arrived, I like a lot. Also did a bit of spending yesterday, so better link. Bought TS Jamies in grey, sized down, so they are sprayed on super tight which I wasn't sure about but DH made a lot of approving noises.

Then bought a few T shirts: this, a similar hot pink one with red stripes and this TS one Should all be useful for SS.

Will catch up on thread now!

Annie that's insane! Hope you are mainlining suitably large quantities of coffee.

NY hope your headache is becoming a little bit more manageable.

MIM that TS bag looks really useful, I should go for something like that really, but I know that I just fill all available space in handbags, so should stick to a slightly smaller one for the sake of my back!

Slay definitely just move your birthday Smile

Tiredness seems to be a little bit less awful today, was even able to manage a park trip without spending most of it collapsed on the sidelines. Hope that ingesting lots of red meat etc will keep it improving.

blossoming · 02/03/2012 13:31

Hi everyone! Hope it's nice and sunny where your are.
Hope the run in the sunshine helps you feel better notyummy.
Nice haul Pseudo. You got the kooples dress! I loved that so much, but something was wrong, the size I think, when I tried it on. Keep posting! On that note, nice to see you around georgina!
Sounds absolutely manic annie. Hope you have a break over the weekend.
ollie, I had a bad experience with farhri: I ordered a top before the new year, it took over a month to arrive. It was a 12, but massive. I find the sizing of most clothes really difficult right now. If only they'd say, oversized, or slouchy, or ginormous, it would help so much. Don't they know where I live!!
I have been hungry all week. My fitness pal is not so much pal any more. And DH staying in a Premier Inn and eating in the restaurant, 2 courses at 1600kcals. It had better work.
Have a nice afternoon with red mrscb.
What's the name mean decam?
Hi to everyone else, love reading all the posts when I come home at lunch.

MidnightinMoscow · 02/03/2012 13:32

Thats hardcore Annie. Hope you get some rest at the weekend though. I get the feeling you are like me, the pressure keeps you going at work. I am dreadful, cannot do work when it drops on my desk, but I think I produce the best results when I am up against it at the last minute. Problem is, I'll stay late to get a piece of work done, and then some sort of incident will happen on the ward which I'll need to deal with and so I am then hours delayed. I'll never learn though. Grin

Thanks for the feedback on the bag, its not as big in RL and should work well for chucking some baby things in, plus DS's pens and food.

Amber how did the meeting with work go? TS has some good stuff at the moment.

Glad you are feeling better Hopefully, although I'd still say you should take some spatone for a few weeks just to top you up. Matron's orders!

Right - back to cleaning skirting boards...this baby WILL turn!

MidnightinMoscow · 02/03/2012 13:33

Yes, meant to say hope Red and MrsCB have a good afternoon today.

Decameron · 02/03/2012 13:49

Don't overdo it, Mim!

Annie, that sounds tough, hope you get to chill tonight.

My Fitness Pal sounds way too strict for my liking.

Bloss, it is from Boccaccio's The Decameron. DD1's name came from the book. She feels up to a little stroll so if you are around now, Ollie, pm me your address and we'll go to the post office.

IceCreamCastles · 02/03/2012 14:38

Hmm - tried apuski's tip the day before yesterday but may have been a bit desperate over enthusiastic with no discernible results so giving it a rest for now so the area can recover before the baby starts attacking!

Vicariously excited about Red & MrsCB's mini meet up - hope you have a good time.

Grin at bloss falling out with MFP. I have it downloaded and ready to go but will never manage on so few calories. Will be v useful to identify bad habits though.

Hope you have a great weekend NYE - well deserved.

Am going to attack dd with the tape measure and do a big order of SS clothes for her this afternoon - only h&m etc. but am quite excited about choosing outfits for her.

blue2711 · 02/03/2012 15:30

Wish I could be at red and mrscb's meet up!

Very tired today after lots of time up with DD in the night. Glad when morning rolled around despite not having much stamina for DS's enthusiastic new 'emergency' game. (he yells 'emergency!' and we then have to run around pretending to be an ambulance / fire engine / lifeboat. Repeat x100).

Still seeking a semblance of control through outfits. Wore bright pink j brands for the first time yesterday - very tight, but ok I think - with aggies (loving), white t shirt, black/white Alexander McQueen scarf and grey whistles blazer. DH finished work at 4 for the first time in 5 years and took DD and I for afternoon tea at this gorgeous hotel. Highly recommend for midlands ladies.

Today wearing mid blue TS Jamies and really loving them, think they're more flattering than the j brands actually. Definitely going to try those stone ones pickled. Also wearing navy and pink striped whistles cashmere jumper for first time and my stone Burberry trench for the first time in ages. Loving wearing normal clothes again. Packed up all maternity things yesterday to lend to a friend and was Blush to see that I had six pairs of maternity jeans. All TS/ASOS at least and belonging to 2 pregnancies across two different seasons, but still. Hmm, must be more restrained and think quality not quantity (she says, desperate to acquire yet more TS jeans...)

icey I get excited about DC's outfits too. Hang in there, glad you're sounding cheerful.
annie you sound as sleep deprived as me and considerably busier! Do take some time to rest this weekend.
hopefully and ny hope you are feeling better. Headaches and fatigue are horrid. Hopefully I'm not keen on the shoes I'm afraid (the heel, I think) but like the shoe boots.
slay glad to see you're sticking around. Am sympathetic about your DP being away; I love a night or three to myself but a month is a long time.

Going to attempt a quick stroll in town with DD before picking up DS. It won't surprise you to learn that I want to pop into TS and WHistles. And DH has promised me a piece of jewellery to mark DD's birth! I want a vintage ring for my right hand, preferably with some diamonds. Not sure will venture in with pram but intend to gaze into window of favourite jewellers. Excited!

Hello to everyone else, hope you're all enjoying the spring weather.

blue2711 · 02/03/2012 15:32

Forgot to say, good luck with turning that baby mim! Mine did, just in time. Get a ball and sit on it lots if you can.

IceCreamCastles · 02/03/2012 15:36

Ooh MiM- I like that bag- can I copy you please?

Decameron · 02/03/2012 16:01

My stripey Whistles sweater shrank in the wash. And I threw a lovely Me&Em top in with the towels today by mistake so that's gone in the bin now too. Annoying. Happy shopping, Blue. I got a new baby present both times, I have seen the custom derided on Mumsnet but I have to say I like it!

blossoming · 02/03/2012 16:53

It's only 1200 cals if you're trying to lose weight. My lifestyle had completely changed after starting work and with Christmas I managed to put on over half a stone. MFP is great to keep track, and to make you see that you must exercise.
Having said that, I will be going over today and tomorrow. And will enjoy it!

blossoming · 02/03/2012 19:00

aibu to have just purchased two pairs of jonnie b shorts?

AmberNectarine · 02/03/2012 19:06

bloss yabu to have an arse that would fit into Johnnie B shorts, sure mine wouldn't.

AIBU to be upset that the lurkers never buy anything I link to?
