I've been doing it for 2 years now. I don't even want to know how much money I would have spend in the meantime at the salon. It's so easy! And I have the confidence now to try different styles, different ponytail positions etc. Goodbye long layers, hello shoulder length cut! And I don't have to sit in the hairdressers chair and cringe because I hate it when they brush my hair due to an old skull fracture.

That and the mooncup. Saved me a fortune!

Brilliant!

Psam

She can't be cutting and not losing length ?

OMG if this goes wrong I shall feel awful...

MrsDeeBee · 10/02/2012 16:49

VIVI !!!!

Showmethemhappyfeet · 10/02/2012 16:50

Ok I'm typing with one hand, brushing wet hair with the other... Wish me luck!!!

MrsDeeBee · 10/02/2012 16:50

That's NOT helpful. Wink

ViviPru · 10/02/2012 16:51

Sorry - just trying to break the tension...

MrsDeeBee · 10/02/2012 16:51

You're doing it wet ? Braver than me....

Just don't cut too much, Showme. Smile

Psammead · 10/02/2012 16:51

stick - at least it's not worse than before...

(it's not worse than before, right?)

Showmethemhappyfeet · 10/02/2012 16:52

Should I not do it wet?!? Still brushing... I have lots if hair!

StickAForkInMeImDone · 10/02/2012 16:52

I am cutting (I have pile of hair in front of me) but the length is staying the same.
Maybe I'm like Girls World (old school) and my hair grows at an alarming rate?

MrsDeeBee · 10/02/2012 16:53

Just remember that when cut wet it will be shorter dry, that's all !

Psammead · 10/02/2012 16:53

I do mine wet too. You just have to cut it a bit longer than you first think because when it dries it bounces up a bit.

FoofFighter · 10/02/2012 16:54

Cut another inch off at a time til you get where you want to be but you'd need to redo the stabby stabby once your happy with the overall length.

HillyWallaby · 10/02/2012 16:54

Lovely layers round face? Shock

Oh no. No no no. I don't do layers around face. and for that reason, I'm out.

(they spring up and give me 'ears')

Showmethemhappyfeet · 10/02/2012 16:54

Oh that's fine my hair is poker straight anyway! Just was wavy after being in a bun all day! Nearly done brushing...

MrsDeeBee · 10/02/2012 16:54

Stick

Can you see where the hair has been lost from ?

Maybe I cut more off mine than I thought ?

Do you already have layers ? Does any of it look like it's had a trim ?

FoofFighter · 10/02/2012 16:54

I do mine dry. Easier to see if it is right I thought

LizJonesStolenSperm · 10/02/2012 16:55

I am wetting myself reading this thread, I am so going to try it

(when i pluck up the courage that is) Grin

ChooChooWowWow · 10/02/2012 16:55

I do the MN cut on both my girls. One long hair with a wave the other is long but much curlier. They always look fab and it must have saved me a fortune in hairdresser costs.

ViviPru · 10/02/2012 16:55

haha Stick's a play-doh mop top Grin

LargeGlassofRed · 10/02/2012 16:56

Ooh I've just done it! It works! Dd1 wants me to do hers too, going to save me a fortune :)

MrsDeeBee · 10/02/2012 16:56

Agree, Foof.

Maybe when we have been doing it for as long as Psam, we will do it wet !

MrsDeeBee · 10/02/2012 16:57

Liz

Go for it !

Large

Brilliant !

FannyPriceless · 10/02/2012 16:57

"1 more inch plus a little stabby stabby."

Why do I have a horrible picture in my head of StickA giving instructions during sex?ConfusedGrin

StickAForkInMeImDone · 10/02/2012 16:58

MrsDee Its gone from the top and sides but not the length at the back.
I said didn't I, I said at the very begining of this thread don't post a link cos I'll be tempted
Right, one last attempt.

StickAForkInMeImDone · 10/02/2012 16:59

What? How come everyone is managing it but not me? I am following the instructions to the letter, yet nothing is changing
