I've been doing it for 2 years now. I don't even want to know how much money I would have spend in the meantime at the salon. It's so easy! And I have the confidence now to try different styles, different ponytail positions etc. Goodbye long layers, hello shoulder length cut! And I don't have to sit in the hairdressers chair and cringe because I hate it when they brush my hair due to an old skull fracture.

That and the mooncup. Saved me a fortune!

Depends how long your hair is and how much you cut.

I don't have a fringe, if that helps.

Stickafork in I'm going to wash my hair right now as I didn't dry it yesterday, just threw it in a bun do its all wavy. Right... Only thing is I have just below the jaw left over layers from my last hair cut (about 18 months ago) what do I do with them? They are just kinda down the front. Do I make a mini pony with them afterwards to straighten up??

Are you putting your head upside down and tying it up ? You need to brush all your hair forwards to front of head then make a pony.

Then decide how much to cut.
