Inspired, eh?!

OP posts:

Poor little DS2 is much brighter this morning. He is sat in front of me cheerfully filling his nappy right now. I'm still feeling rough, but fingers crossed we're coming out the other side of this latest illness bout.

Icey boo to no news yet. Are you feeling ok, or knackered?

NY love that oscars article!

Marsha my wardrobe is now replete with see through clothes, but I would be inclined to go for a v nude camisole if you want everyone to just notice the sheer top, or possibly something v bright if you want everyone to be sure you're wearing something underneath Smile

Thanks for the blazer votes, will see if I can find something cool.

Ideas to entertain two DCs while feeling like death warned up? I may have to give in and go to the park. I may even wear nice clothes.

blossoming · 24/02/2012 08:18

Morning all. I am really happy today. I have had a complete epiphany re diet thanks to Jillian and mfp. It has finally clicked that no matter how healthy you eat, if you don't watch portion size and count calories and exercise, you will not lose weight.
So after a week, I have lost weight and almost at my good weight again. DH commented on how good I look in my jeans and am wearing pinstripe davina and whistles grey mark tights.
Just had to share!

MarshaBrady · 24/02/2012 08:42

Thanks Hopefully I am torn. It's this and very pretty on but I am not good with having to wear things underneath. It's very see through. I might order and try with things at home.

Bloss sounds good. I have done so much walking and so little eating due to time and not being near eggs / tuna /veg that I think I am getting back to goal too!

As an aside, I love it when I have done low carb for so long that when someone offers me a Pret etc sandwich it may as well be a piece of coal (although felt a bit bad for client for getting all the sandwiches and doughnuts). ie my desire for carby stuff turns to absolute zero. Although I have to say then that I don't eat bread, I'm very sorry. Interesting feeling like a have a dietary requirement.

Will look at your article NY

Icey good to see you. Not long to go!

Pickled where art thou? A tennis champ perhaps.

OllieinOrange · 24/02/2012 08:48

Morning. Half term starts today so pyjama day it is!

Reine not sure if I have already linked to this, its the Babycinno Pinterest page on crafts for kids - lots of nice ideas. Boys want to make the clothes peg big fish eating little fish. They usually loose interest after 5 mins and I find myself sitting at the table in my own little world finishing things off.

Hopefully I say keep the Pure top. There will always be opportunities to wear it when little ones with sticky hands are not around?

OllieinOrange · 24/02/2012 08:52

Marsha I love that blouse - looks so good with those jeans. Can really see you in it. Wonder what the model is wearing - just a nude bra perhaps?

MidnightinMoscow · 24/02/2012 09:01

Hello.

Marsha, I'd call Matches and ask for some advice, because on the model the blouse does not look see through at all. It would be interesting to see what they have done.

Icey no news here ever, still lots of signs, but no action as it were.

Poor DS Amber. Thats typical of a mother that takes a clutch to the park...if you'd had a backpack you could have taken your galoshes and some sort of sou.wester to retrive it. Tsk tsk. Grin

Glad to hear you are feeling happy today Bloss. Sometimes it's like having a light bulb moment isan't it?

Might try and get out tomorrow for a nursing bra. Rock n roll.

OllieinOrange · 24/02/2012 09:01

Tell me again what Shred is on MFP?

FritziGreenEyes · 24/02/2012 09:04

ollie I think it is circuit training.

MarshaBrady · 24/02/2012 09:15

Thanks Ollie, MiM have ordered it. Hopefully I have something to make it work.

MiM you are close too!

notyummy · 24/02/2012 09:18

Well done on the weight loss Blossoming - you are right. It is boring but true - calories in have to be less than calories out. The trick is finding foods that fill you up as much as possible during that process....and don't make you feel completely deprived.

MIM - I had some Elle Macpherson nursing bras that I was fond of (as well as some thoroughly boring ones from Mothercare!) I also had some drop down 'secret support' camisoles from JoJo Maman that I wore in lieu of a bra and were fab because they covered up tummy whilst feeding. This sort of thing. Appreciate it may not work for everyone - even in the heady days of bf I was probably only a 32/34 C so not that much to control.

hopefully - hope you are all recovered soon. Park and DVDs on sofa could be a helpful combination when you are feeling rubbish?

pickledsiblings · 24/02/2012 09:18

Marsha, I wear a nude cami with built in support under my sheer things although agree with MiM that your blouse (it is so you) doesn't look too see-through.

Blue, lovely that you are up and about... and out. I remember this stage well - I loved every minute of it and you look set to do the same Smile.

Hopefully · 24/02/2012 09:20

Bloss it's nice when it all comes together, especially for you with all the effort you put into healthy living.

I still haven't got a huge appetite, have lost 3lbs this week, mainly from illness.

Ollie I entered it as circuit training and as aerobics on different occasions, and the calories were much the same. Circuit training possibly more appropriate though?

Marsha that shirt is really pretty. Definitely a nude camisole/bra sort of combo needed. I have never persevered with low carb for long enough for the cravings to go away completely, am v impressed.

Love that blouse Marsha - have been looking at it too.

I wear shirts a lot and tend to wear a lace trimmed vest top from jigsaw underneath as quite like the v shape of the neck which shows under the shirt. Or have a cosabella nude coloured cami too.

Ollie - I don't shred - just do pilates and am trying to start running again but I'm a big believer in diet being the key to losing weight. Exercise helps me feel motivated but as Bloss said its portion size thats key.

Just eating my porridge now with cinammon and manuka honey - quite yummy and pretty filling too.

Am waiting the mih paris in red to arrive today so will report back.

Annie - keep meaning to say - you know we took over 2 years to conceive ds2 and then dd happened by ahem surprise whilst I was still bf so you never know . . .

pickledsiblings · 24/02/2012 10:15

Annie Grin. Have you had a look at the Massimo Dutti girls sale? They have some lovely bits and peices although no leather jackets - suede shorts however.

I have ordered these shoes from MD as I love a brown/black combo. Is it Everything that hates brown and black together?

Thanks Anniemac (and thanks, not sure I can but will try!), MrsCB, Hopefully and Pickled for suggestions. I will try out various things.

Am going in again to Donna Ida to check size on MiH Paris. They only had one smaller than usual and I just need to double check which one. Quite fun this new season thing. And so much more enjoyable to do it all together on here.

Blue it is a lovely post. I adore the newborn phase, tugs on my heart strings reading about it.

MarshaBrady · 24/02/2012 10:25

xpost. Yes they are really gorgeous. I love that outfit.

I know I feel like I'm planning a military operation. Probably as have been paid but don't want to blow it!

AmberNectarine · 24/02/2012 10:25

MiM I know, had I only been suitably attired in a wetsuit I could have leapt into the Thames without a second thought. As it was, not wanting to ruin my outfit (as opposed the threat of mortal peril) held me back.

Marsha love that shirt, should be ok with a cami. MiH have some lovely stuff at the moment, I love this jacket

Hope you feel better soon Hopefully
