Good RL shopping Anniemac.

NY lovely stuff.

Hopefully I'm not sure, I don't have any ivory silk. Hmm I think it could be tricky with my children though.

Sanuk hello, hope you are ok with the operation.

I can't believe this but I really want to get something but finding it hard to find anything atm. Maybe it's the weather.

I saw a really pretty thinnish Kenzo scarf in Liberty. I would like to tie it in my hair and let the ends trail down a bit at the back. Thinking MiH Paris, pretty white short sleeved shirt, pumps and scarf in hair.

If spring is here soon I might do that before the urge passes!

FritziGreenEyes · 23/02/2012 08:47

red Thinking of you and your DD... How are things today?

annie I can see you floating around the park in that Vero Moda dress in summer. And what a great sister you are! I have a shop close by. If you want to I can pick one up and send it to you.

marsha Silk scarf tied into your hair would look fab. You can join annie and float around the park together once spring is here. Smile

Oh, and mrscb can come along too in her new white dress. Haven't met you in RL but that is the kind of dress I would choose for you.

ollie Any news of your dress being dispatched yet?

sanuk If you need a cheap fashion fix: I bought a pair of electric blue ballet flats in H&M for 9 EUR the other day. Cannot wait to wear them.

bloss/ollie I also find that there are huge differences between food stuff in the MFP and it makes me wonder how helpful it actually is for weight loss. Still makes you think about how much you consume during a day in general and how much wine/snacking/coffees can add up to.

MarshaBrady · 23/02/2012 08:55

Thanks Fritzi Smile yes indeed. I hope the weather is good wafting weather this year!

I also thought of you when looking at MiH Paris, for your slender ankles. I hope I am remembering correctly otherwise that will just sound plain weird.

FritziGreenEyes · 23/02/2012 09:01

Hehe marsha that is right. Ankles and wrists are about the only things I am always happy with Wink

MarshaBrady · 23/02/2012 09:02

phew! Grin

VerityBrulee · 23/02/2012 11:04

Hopefully Thanks a million, I have bookmarked them all Smile

Red hope you had a good nights sleep

I decided to dye my Aldo high tops navy, turning out well but a bit tedious! I also dyed my Me&Em cardigan which was an unflattering (for me) oatmeal colour with red dye in the washing machine and it's turned out a lovely raspberry shade. Phew, it's cashmere so I was taking a bit of a risk! It's gorgeous now and I'll wear it a lot more.

Imagining Marsha and Annie wafting!

Ok, back to the other shoe.

Hopefully · 23/02/2012 11:15

verity hope they're of some use. Fabric shipping online is so hard, not so hard for kids fabrics though, as I'm less fussy about drape etc and just want nice colours and prints Smile

I dyed my wedding shoes, it was a PITA but they came out really well.

I am properly ill with DH's cough thing. Have dosed myself up on day nurse, it sucks not being able to call in sick when you're a SAHM.

annie dd loves to borrow her brothers (p)leather jacket to wear over her pretty stuff, looks good! One of the reasons I'm starting to sew is because she is really into shorts, but I hate the ones in the shops for her age, i'm planning on making her liberty print shorts for summer. She has a velvet pair which she wears with stripey tights which are lovely. She hasn't worn a dress in months

I know what you mean Hopefully, if I were sick and working the DCs would go to the nursery as usual while I malingered. As it is if DH and I ever have the same bug, he'll get nursed by me and then sod off back to work, by which time he's passed it on and I'm left to cope with the (possibly also sick) DCs. He doesn't know he's born, my DH Wink

Feeling knackered today as DD awake before 5 for the second day in a row. Hoping this is not a habit forming. DH off tomorrow and Monday so going to try and use this time to get her out of our bed, as it's doing nobody any good.

verity I so want those aldo trainers, will look out for them at the weekend. Love your other buys too!

red glad your DD is home, and hope her condition improves very soon. Well done you for coping so well, I'd have gone to pieces!

ollie fabulous dress, and great that you got a discount! Hope it's 'the one'!

Has anyone else given stuff up for lent? I have gone for cakes, biscuits, chocolate and sweets. Pathetically I am seriously struggling already. DH, who was supposed to be doing with me, fell at the first hurdle yesterday. Useless.

OllieinOrange · 23/02/2012 12:15

Ive sent round a PM about a June meet up. Hope everyone got it. PM me if not.

Bloss I meant to say, I saw this KM biker dress on Tuesday and the zips made me think of you. Far less shiney than the pics show - see video. Would look great on your figure I think but know KM isnt for everyone.

VerityBrulee · 23/02/2012 12:28

Amber they are in the sale now, so maybe ring around a few branches and see if they will keep them for you.

Annie my mum made the velvet ones out of what was once my Christmas dress circa 1977!

Agree it is rubbish being sick when you are a mum. Thanks to everyone feeling tired/under the weather today

Ah yes, I seem to have caught DD's virus that triggered this whole episode off. Feel more than a little minging and have agreed to a. have next door's daughter over for dinner whilst they go to parent's evening (they had DS so DH could visit in hospital so definitely owe them) and b. lead tonight's book club discussion on The Help (apparently they need a leader as one lady is dominating conversations too much). DH at his parent's evening till 7ish too, so no extra hands to help.

On the positive, DD is cheering up a bit. Verity we sang Twinkle Twinkle to her for her puffs in the evening and overnight and she didn't cry at all! Is taking them really well today too.

MrsCB I would love that. Shall pm you. MD dress is really gorgeous.

Am v impressed with your shorts making/shoe dying prowess Verity. Liberty print shorts sound particularly lovely. Annie I asked for a black leather jacket at 9 and Step-Dad 1 bought it for me - I absolutely loved wearing it. How great that your girls are expressing their independence. I know I'm preaching to the converted, but I think it's wonderful.

Sending lots of lemsip-infused get well soon vibes to everyone feeling under the weather.

Am off to google up some questions for The Help - has anyone else seen the film? I watched it the other night and enjoyed it very much.

ollie very excited about The Possibility Of The Dress.will p.m re-meet up

red so glad you have found good advice re-dispensing inhaler and that you are all home together.

am feeling hopeful that with my flat chest gap dvf for kids will probably work fine!can anyone link to marni kids..can't seem to find it.

annie I was pondering similar thoughts on people manage with many more children then me DH's dad is one of 13..imagine how long it would take to get through a virus then!

vb liberty print shorts sound lovely.

where is lovely icey???

blue2711 · 23/02/2012 14:38

Afternoon everyone! Lovely spring day here. I am taking DD out for her first stroll in her pram shortly, really looking forward to it. DS can go on his bike or scooter and my DM will come too. These really are precious times; thanks for the reminder about how fast they go annie.

And I'm back in my jeans! Hurrah. My biggest, stretchiest pairs fit ok (if I tuck my tummy in and try not to mind my side profile too much). Felt great yesterday greeting visitors in indigo TS Jamies, long black vest under black/white breton top and raspberry blochs. Had three lots of visitors plus midwife plus an afternoon coping with both DC by myself for the first time, so am taking it easy today! (My DH has his own business hopefully and tells me he can't take any time off at all [sceptical]. He was very pleased with me as I went into labour at 6pm and had DD at 11pm so he didn't miss a night's sleep or a single day of work...).

Did people see the Anya Hindmarch show pics on WIT? Gorgeous. I still covet a clutch. Also love the SM Falabella bags despite the price; a friend has one and it does still look sumptuous despite the pleather!

red so glad you're home and you and DD are coping so well.
mrscb that white dress is also very very me. Love a white dress with tan and turquoise accessories for summer.
marsha love the mih Paris jeans. What colour have you gone for and where from? What length are they? I would be tempted to purchase if they are short.
ollie love the Joseph dress; hope it looks fabulous on.
verity love the maje top and I have that TS blazer in black, it's v useful. Impressed by your dyeing efforts. What brand have you used? I want to dye some blue jeans black.
hopefully keep that shirt and get well.
dauphin I heartily recommend Majorca at Easter. The Esplendido at Soller is great, although a regular hotel not a aparthotel. Perhaps their penthouse suite?!

My February spending has finally begun. I've ordered the shorouk necklace a la WIT and also some cheapy grey leopard print skinnies off ebay. And a name print for DD's nursery from not on the high street.

Hello to everyone else. Hope you're all having lovely days.

blue2711 · 23/02/2012 14:39

Think I have used the word 'love' a dozen times in that post! You can tell what sort of mood I'm in today! Sorry for the gushing Blush

AmberNectarine · 23/02/2012 15:40

Guess what guys? I'm at the park, nicely dressed somehow managing to care for my child in spite of having a Mulberry clutch about my person!
