Inspired, eh?!

Russianred · 19/02/2012 19:23

Oooh Marsha I remember the club of which you spoke, how exciting! Would be a lovely future MU spot.

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 19/02/2012 19:35

I am trying to remember! Could be a different one.

I intend to meet dh for lunch very, very often on the days off and laze around and take many roof top swims in summer.

I'll do a recce for us while I'm at it.

Dh is going to start using the gym Grin.

blossoming · 19/02/2012 19:43

That sounds really cool marsha. Lucky thing!
What a great weekend red. I am counting down the days to the MU. Has been ages since I went away for the weekend.
Isn't it great mim? Although I am done for the day, and am starting to feel hungry! Early to bed for me! Laughing at your remaining calories hopefully!

Russianred · 19/02/2012 19:55

Think same one Marsha. Woo-hoo!

Can't wait for MU either Bloss. Am furiously listing my mountain of maternity stuff (all S/S) on eBay to raise shopping funds for it.

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 19/02/2012 19:58

phew! Grin

Better get a good figure for a bikini / swimsuit. (shred arrived today)

Looking forward to MU too.

MidnightinMoscow · 19/02/2012 20:15

Oh I think I know where you mean Marsha. That would be an amazing place to be a member. How fabulous!

OllieinOrange · 19/02/2012 20:18

Whats the full name of the count the calories app? I feel I need it in my life!

blossoming · 19/02/2012 20:22

It is 'my fitness pal' app ollie. But beware, my stomach is seriously rumbling and it is only today I've reached my target!

Hopefully · 19/02/2012 21:07

Manged to earn an extra 250 calories with BFBM, so was allowed small dinner (prob still more calories than I burnt, but I tried). Bloss how do you enter Shred/6W6p/other Jillian DVDs? I entered it as 'aerobics' for the appropriate number of minutes, but couldn't decide if that was the best option.

blossoming · 19/02/2012 21:29

I think I've read elsewhere that people are logging it under circuit training hopefully.
I had to have a piece of toast and marmite. Was starving. Wouldn't have slept!

ApuskiMcClusky · 19/02/2012 21:49

Hi all! I hope everyone who has been feeling unwell is on the mend. Especially MiM. And that everyone else has had a good weekend - red, yours sounds great, hope you had good shopping in Cheltenham, we were there today.

Well I have managed to get through the weekend without buying a car - didn't even test drive in the end! I suspect it's only a matter of time unless the right house comes on the market imminently.

And after a manic look round LK Bennett and lots of indecisiveness, I am now the owner of an Annina bag (in Rose) - couldn't find anything else I wanted with my credit note, but it makes my Tory Burch bag a little less likely. Even if I do use my vouchers!

I am pleased to see I'm not the only one with a MFP obsession - I'm about to raid the fridge as I am 250 cals short today - not enough snacking.

Russianred · 19/02/2012 21:57

Have just downloaded MFP - it's brilliant. Am -79 for today and am not going to Shred now, so will sign this off as a practice day (!). But to only be allowed 1200 calories a day?! Will have to exercise lots in order to make sure I can eat plenty.

Excellent purchase Apuski - is a lovely bag. I was in more of a personal shopper role yesterday - my friends went wild, me not so much. But I love shopping for other people, so it was still plenty of fun. I bought some fisherman-style trousers for SA and a scarf. Will pop back with links.

OP posts:
Russianred · 19/02/2012 22:00

Scarf to be worn with pastel jeans and white T. Softens up the Roxy nicely too.

OP posts:
Russianred · 19/02/2012 22:02

Fisherman trousers - very flattering on and will be great for being casual but still a bit structured iykwim.

notyummy · 19/02/2012 22:18

Surely 1200 is if you are wanting to lose weight? Not for maintenance?

Having said that, I probably eat less than that when I do my low protein thing a couple of times a year, but I dont feel hungry on that.

Hopefully · 20/02/2012 07:16

NY I have 1200 a day for weight loss. I think it gives you somewhere in the region of 1600-2000 for maintenance, depending on your activity level.

Poor DH and DS1 are ill today - stomach bug and chesty cough respectively. I may take DS2 out and leave them on the sofa with Cbeebies together.

Have had a bumper money-making week, and it's all burning a hole in my pocket. Will have to see what lies next on my capsule wardrobe lost. Maybe some shoes to go with the Me and Em dress. Or some childcare for DS2! Grin

notyummy · 20/02/2012 09:06

Hope your DH and DS feel better soon Hopefully.

Nice sunny day here. Am wearing Phase 8 grey dress with patterned tights and black heeled brogues. Have just had a new member of staff arrive to start that no one had told me about (I didn't recruit directly....) Poor lady - she is huddled in a corner of a room reading leaflets whilst I reorganise some meetings so I can spend 30 minutes with her. No computer, no desk.... Grr, I am cross with someone, I just haven't worked out who yet Wink

AmberNectarine · 20/02/2012 09:30

One for MiM?

IceCreamCastles · 20/02/2012 11:35

Aghh. Am mortified. Dropped dd off for her first day of playgroup only to receive a phone call an hour later to tell me she wasn't supposed to be there today. Checked my diary and this is indeed the case.

Not sure how i've managed to convince myself she was doing 4 mornings a week Confused

Will be picking her up with a very red face!

Fleecy · 20/02/2012 12:03

Oh no icey - blame it on the pregnancy brain?

Me & Em dress arrived today and is staying. Love it.

ny it's one of those where you put in your height, weight and activity level and tell them how much you want to lose and it tells you how many calories you should eat daily, breaking it down into fat, protein and carbs. I get an extra 300 for breastfeeding (don't feed for 12hrs at night so can't really claim more!) and you get more calories when you enter exercise so you can still fuel yourself.

I tend to go overboard when trying to lose weight and swing from obsessively not eating to stuffing my face in despair. So it's good for me as I spread my calories over 3 meals and 3 snacks and eat a much more balanced diet.

Hopefully · 20/02/2012 12:08

Icey how embarrassing! Exactly the kind of thing I'd do.

NY how awful, poor woman! Hope you get cross at the appropriate people.

Hopefully · 20/02/2012 12:19

Fleecy glad you like the Me and Em dress too! Which colour did you get?

Russianred · 20/02/2012 13:01

We're all being punished for my weekend away - poor Dd has been admitted to hospital with breathing problems and a horrible temperature after scaring us silly in the night. She's not very good at receiving treatment, unfortunately for the nurses she is getting livid with.

OP posts:
ApuskiMcClusky · 20/02/2012 13:11

Oh no, red, poor you and poor DD. I hope it's a very short stay and the breathing and temperature get sorted quckly. Let us know how she's doing. I remember ds1 being admitted with croup, and trying to get him on a nebuliser, horrible.

OllieinOrange · 20/02/2012 13:14

Red really sorry to read whats happened. How horrible for you all. Hope DD is receiving the best of care and is improving soon. Sending you lots of strength and hugs x
