Sorry for poor thread title but I am hopeless at rhyming at the best of times...
Unbelievable how quickly we filled the last thread!

Had one hour on Friday before the meeting started and used my time very efficiently and bought these. They are not quite as high as the 50/50s but suit me better. Was hugging the shopping bag close to me on the train back home yesterday Grin.

ollie Such a shame that your DH isn't going to go with the job offer over here. Oh, the fun we could have!

hopefully Having you on this thread is great and I enjoy reading your posts a lot. I hope your mother doesn't find any more tidying tasks for you today. You look fab in your wedding pictures.

annie Hope you got all your work done last night and have the chance to get some rest today.

red We have our hob on our kitchen island too. We couldn't decide on backsplash for ages. Haven't had one for ages and it is absolutely fine. I do most food preparation stuff on the island anyway.

Have lovely Sundays everyone!

NYE, I think that counts as health food. :)

Mim, I can't see your photos either.

FritziGreenEyes · 24/01/2012 20:20

mim Gorgeous photo! You all look so young and carefree Smile

Had a browse on the H&M website and found these shoes. Think it's a good price for suede and could work to cheer up some of my grey outfits for nights out.

Gosh my adverts on other websites are highly targeted these days! I'm getting Matches, Isabel Marant skirt and Acne jacket. They know Grin

Blue I was on a mission last night. Bad mood + some free time. Must be the W&A equivalent of doing the food shopping when hungry. Although wish I could be as nonchalant about idly filling the NaP basket shopping bag. Where did I get basket from? Confused. Probably pre-windows or something.

Ollie I like Ce Me dresses, and I like the price of their stuff very much.

Very cute! Carciofi

Fritzi ha one of my first things for them was to talk about their office. I showed loads of pics of E15 furniture and white, white, sunshine, open lovely studio offices, open the windows! I think they got some new sofas. (It's not what I normally do).

OllieinOrange · 24/01/2012 20:25

Fritzi - link doesnt work for me but is it the peep toed suede heels? Id seen them and thought the pink would be great for a pop of colour with say a grey jersey dress?

OllieinOrange · 24/01/2012 20:26

I have trouble keeping slingbacks on my feet tho!

FritziGreenEyes · 24/01/2012 20:28

marsha Let's keep baskets. So much nicer floating around a shop (albeit online shop) filling a basket than a mundane shopping bag. I LOVE E15 furniture! German offices are filled with USM Haller stuff. As soon as we could afford it, we bought a smaller piece to put our DVD player etc in. I hate it now and try to incorporate it somehow into DH's study.

OP posts:
FritziGreenEyes · 24/01/2012 20:31

ollie Yes, they are the peep toes. Picked the pink ones first too but like the other colour better. Thought it would be a good shape heel to walk in + platform.

Also saw this rabbit print blouse with Peter Pan collar. No way I could pull that off but think it made a nice change from all the butterfly/bird print things of the last few seasons. When you look at it from a distance, it just looks like some abstract pattern.

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 24/01/2012 20:33

Basket, yes suits us more; with our floaty maxi dresses, pretty bangles and carefree ways.

Aha so pleased you love E15 too. Bravo! I am typing on a Mac on a huge E15 bigfoot table. Dh was better than me at the beginning and then I saw the interior light.

I love that pic MIM what great style. You look fab!

notyummy · 24/01/2012 20:34

Great picture MIM!

carciofi, you're girls are so cute! And the baby, delicious!
mim, are you on Confessions of a Nurse on C4 later? Love that photo of you!
Shame about the trousers ollie. I have a terrible waist/hip ratio.

Lucky I checked my rear view this morning. I had a parents evening tonight and was going to wear davina. But the split in the back had increased by about 6 inches! Best get the needle and thread out.
Hope things are sorting themselves out for you marsha.
Glad your boots worked out fritzi. I'm sure you looked stunning.
Very wise decision on the boots hopefully. My collection of R&B shoes and boots are maintained at Timpsons! My mum took some for me yesterday. It's incredible how they manage to make them look like new. And I often have new soles put on if they are leather soled, as I walk a lot, and on rough terrain. Suede not the best for every day, but suited to a 'natural' like you.

Russianred · 24/01/2012 20:59

Ollie the Ce Me dress is going to look great on you. Fab spot there.

Shame about the Dickers Hopefully but you are being very, very wise indeed - imagine how much you'd panic when out and about in them for fear of soiling (that might just be me, of course).

Verity all-white sounds lovely. Very peaceful.

Glad you've got the space to work through your decision Marsha. I'm going to hang on to the image of wicker basket filling; it makes me smile to think of it Grin.

MiM I found it easier to get back into things second time around. Your healthy final month/s sounds like a really good idea to get you fighting fit.

Good thing you're handy with a needle and thread Bloss and good that you noticed pre- parents evening. Can you imagine?!

The Reiss dress arrived and is awful - it swamped me in a S - too big on the shoulders and very loose in the body. To be added to the pile of things that look bloody awful on me. So back to the drawing board. Brief: Semi-casual dress for weather of 20ish degrees for lovely occasion but to be worn throughout the summer. Must not look like sack.

Zembo · 24/01/2012 21:12

My scarves arrived and they're gorgeous - I could easily keep them both, but unfortunately must make a decision. The teal one is actually more of an emerald green with a hint of teal (so not super bright) and the other one is more of a charcoal/navy. The green one looks bolder and the colour is good on me, the charcoal one is loads more subtle. I'm feeling inclined to go with the green one - what do you think? Can't wait to wear it!

Blue shame about the boots, although they might still come back into stock at NAP. I saw the black version at My-Wardrobe but wasn't keen on the contrasting coloured heel. I agree the CL bracelets are too expensive at full price. I'd definitely like them in a few more colourways. Like the one you linked to too Verity

MrsCB do you have a link to the bracelet you were looking at?

Looby agree with you on the nail painting being a waste of time. I don't normally bother but painted mine this week as going out a few times, but they lasted all of 36 hours (and I did the whole basecoat + 2 coats +topcoat)

Hopefully very wise on the boots. I really look after all my boots (because I love them Smile). The secret to making your footwear last is to have many pairs and good rotation Grin

MidnightinMoscow · 24/01/2012 21:18

Updated my profile and everyones names I think.

Bloss, no I'm not on TV this week. Wink

Teal scarf is beautiful Zembo.

OllieinOrange · 24/01/2012 21:28

Great photo MiM. Did you or anyone else read the Sue Barton range of books about student nurses and high jinxs with Drs and patients? Your pic reminded me of them in one of those weird flashback moments!

Hopefully · 24/01/2012 21:36

Zembo the green looks gorgeous, really lovely scarf. Once again I have scarf Envy

I love painted nails, but just can't be bothered in any way with the maintenance required. I had a manicure the day before our wedding, and it was a struggle to keep them decent even for 24 hours, tbh! One of my little regrets, and I hope when the DCs are a bit older I'll at least manage nice coloured nails for special occasions.

Bloss I have long accepted that despite suede being a complete PITA in terms of wearing out/staining, I prefer it so much to shiny leather that I live with it. Now, of course, I am aware that's my natural side! I can also live with nubuck/matte leather, but shiny leather often alarms me.

The Ce Me dresses look lovely! Unfortunately the shape isn't great on me, but some of the colours are gorgeous, and if I was more confident about that kind of draping I would definitely get one.

Amber thanks for the link, those boots are lovely!

I can't quite decide now what to do about boots. I definitely want some casual ankle boots, I have decided - have planned so many hypothetical outfits around the perfect boots!. I could order Pistols, which I don't think I love but would probably get lots of use out of (but, really, £350 on a pair of boots I don't love? I don't think so), or order New Look cheapies (or Amber's linked boots, or similar from Office), which I am sure I would wear out in 6 months, but would be v useful. I have, however, decided that the Dickers and the Jalouse are going back (making me approx £450 richer than I am at the moment Grin), as I don't love either of them enough. I live in hope that R&B or Jones or similar will bring out an ankle boot that I love, but it doesn't seem to be happening so far.

OllieinOrange · 24/01/2012 21:40

Mention of books reminded me, MrsCB, think Call The Midwife is ok, but brings back too many memories of having DS2 (long labour, no pain relief, possible complications etc ) so a bit squeamish! Not read the book. Loved Miranda in it on Sun, my Mum says she is just how she imagined the character when reading the book.

Zembo · 25/01/2012 09:26

Morning ladies!

Just a quickie to say I've decided to keep the green scarf (worn already on the school run this morning!).. so Fritzi are you still interested in having the blue version?

FritziGreenEyes · 25/01/2012 09:34

zembo Yes, please! Smile Will PM you!

OP posts:
blue2711 · 25/01/2012 11:19

Glad you went for green zembo. Bet you looked fab on school run. Will look great with roxy.
Lovely photo mim!
Shame about reiss dress red. My reiss items awful too. Had moment of horror when remembered that they will only exchange not refund in store (why, why do shops do that?!) but thankfully you can post back for a refund. I'm sure you'll find something else fantastic as all the SS stuff starts flooding into shops.

Still agonising over names carciofi I like Elodie too but it doesn't go with our surname. We want that elusive 'unusual but not weird' holy grail of names!

I'm looking forward to aggie boots arriving, hopefully today.

MarshaBrady · 25/01/2012 11:29

Blue Only exchange wow that is so bad. That happened to me with sale stuff in Sandro. Luckily I found some good stuff, but it's hard to get the right price etc. Naughty when online is so good. Glad you can return by post. Elodie is very pretty.

Current/elliott yellow skinnies have arrived and I love them! Sunny and fresh, more lemony than punchy yellow which is good.

theoutnet stuff too. I love the acne chinos but quite loose. Probably meant to be, but might be a bit too much.

Tangerine t a lovely colour so will keep.

Not sure about the jcrew skinnies. Will show dh for final verdict. Very close in look to Stella M ones, and very dark green. Not very summery.

Light grey fine knit going back. Too expensive for what it is. Very lovely and delicate but won't stand up to my toddler lugging lifestyle.

Love the scarf Zembo and Fritzi, great size too.

Emo76 · 25/01/2012 11:39

hello can't keep up fully but just wanted to say those ceme dresses look really lovely!

love those skinnies marsha

dry January is showing it's benefits - people are saying my skin looks lovely and I look better (what did I look like before?!)

MrsCampbellBlack · 25/01/2012 12:05

Who was after grey t-shirts?

Zembo - this is the bracelet I am coveting but want it cheaper than that.

Ollie - what did you decide re the dress? Meant to say I also thought your kitchen was lovely and liked the top right blue but I am a lover of muted colours on walls and my very favourite is Slipper Satin so probably not the best judge.

Also understand why you may find Call the Midwife too much - I am loving the insight into life for women in that era thoug - lordy and to think I moan about loading the washing machine/tumble drier etc - I don't know I'm born to quote my mother.

Actally some journalist was saying how online shopping is to us what the invention of kitchen gadgets was to our parents in terms of time saved and I quite agree - I mean all the tedious stuff like groceries I always do online now.

Hopefully · 25/01/2012 12:25

Do we think OTK boots will still work next A/W? Have just seen a pair on the Duo outlet site that I quite like - really plain, slim fitting leather. Have a fear of suddenly being unable to buy skinny jeans and therefore having nothing to wear them with. Thoughts?

OllieinOrange · 25/01/2012 12:28

Feel I have been overly consumed with grey draped dresses all so far this week. Enough!

Emo well done on the dry January - will you continue into Feb? How lovely to get a compliment like that. DH and I are not drinking from Sun to Fridays - nearly caved in last night when he made bacon and pea carbonara with basil and mint which was crying out for a glass of chilled white wine but we talked each other out of it (me as I literally had my head in the fridge looking for a bottle!)
Marsha some lovely buys there. Really like the lemon jeans and the shape and colour of the tshirt.
Zembo the scarf fairy! Smile
Hopefully your perfect boots are out there, keep the (boot) faith!
Bloss saw this Michael Kors top and thought of you and your love of asymmetric. Not sure if its one of your colours and how you feel about differing arm styles? here

About to ring Boden to explain about exploding buttons. I can almost hear their hmm hmm response when I say that the jeans do actually fit!
