New thread.

OP posts:
Fleecy · 07/01/2012 19:10

Several crossposts.

Forgot to say that I think I did mention before but can't make the meet-up. Boo!

Navy coated skinnies sound lovely. I have black Gap ones and they are very flattering but I can't currently get them on Blush

Still, have stopped eating quite so much this week and lost 4lb. Yay!

Fleecy · 07/01/2012 19:13

verity it must be nice to be taking steps and making plans to return to your home and fun choosing flooring, kitchen etc. even though it would have been better if it hadn't happened. A chance to put your interior design training into practice.

amber I'm not going to comment on your amazing sales finds as I am far too jealous. Humph! Grin

MrsCampbellBlack · 07/01/2012 19:17

Bloss - DH is fairly slim but he's tall so not as whippet like as many of the bikers but he'll undoubtedly be on healthy eating regime prior to it. Did I mention he gets a snazzy red and white lycra outfit to wear Grin

I was thinking whistles jeans, heels and silk equipment shirt - god have got to lose weight though . . .

Verity - marble flooring sounds wonderful - I'd go for the more forgiving colour because wouldn't want to be mopping floors every day or turn into scarey woman who makes everyone remove shoes Wink [controversial]

blossoming · 07/01/2012 19:41

That sounds a perfect outfit mrscb. Is he going with a big group? Are you having a treat too?

verity, we have pale tiles in our kitchen. They are very big and from porcelanosa. They show every single crumb. At least my floor has never been cleaner! You just can't leave it. Not like when I had coloured Lino in previous houses!

MrsCampbellBlack · 07/01/2012 19:49

Bloss - yes - its a client thing so a team are going.

And its my 40th this year and I'm never backwards in organising treats for myself Wink

notyummy · 07/01/2012 19:54

Well done on the weight loss Fleecy!

Outfit sounds great MrsRCB- I think I would go with something similar.

AntPants1 · 07/01/2012 19:58

Oh NY am in pieces!!! Did not shred today as had trial session on power plate. Now thighs ache to match my head!! Off to have a look at Whistles coated skinnies...

When are you off NY?

bloss am in awe of your cycling.

ollie hope you feel better soon. Hot Ribena?!

blossoming · 07/01/2012 19:59

There's a few 40ths around this year isn't there?

blossoming · 07/01/2012 20:00

ants, when's your colours day?

blue2711 · 07/01/2012 20:00

Sounds like we all want the whistles coated skinnies! Whistles should give us some kind of a group discount...

ny and red, I was pregnant on honeymoon too! We were in NY and I was exhausted all the time, lovely though it was. red, no spotty trousers or roxy yet. I tried on the roxy in black in an 8 yesterday and really liked it but the sales assistant told me how yellowy the cream one is in real life so my hopes aren't too high.

Wow, well done you and DS bloss, must have been scary but you must feel proud of yourself now. In contrast our wii fit has this evening has told me my fitness age is 47... (I'm 34).

I'm enjoying hearing about all the renovation and design plans, although I can imagine how stressful it must be. Tiles sound lovely verity. We have been renting for the past 3 years; lovely places but I love interior design and am just longing to make a place our own. We're hoping to buy this year so fingers are crossed that we finally find our forever home.

Hope everyone has a lovely Saturday night.

blue2711 · 07/01/2012 20:02

And get well soon fleecyand ollie. Thanks for the lovely name suggestions fleecy. Lara and Sophia are gorgeous names.

FritziGreenEyes · 07/01/2012 20:05

red We went out for drinks on Christmas here where I wore my new maxi Smile. Had dinner on another day here. Oh, and lunch on the terrace of Mount Nelson Hotel.

notyummy We wanted to go to Shamwari but couldn't the family suite was booked at the time, so we stayed at Hlosi Game Lodge and it was really spectacular.

mrscb Like your stocking up on flattering coated trousers. After someone told me how great I looked in the Houlis, I immediately bought a second pair Wink.

icey Hope DD will sleep ok despite being poorly. I was so touched about reading how you looked after your friend's baby when they stayed with you during the holidays. What a lovely friend you are!

Forgot to say that my sister had her baby a few days ago Grin. Will take DD to meet her new cousin next weekend.

Looking forward to all the new W&A babies in 2012!

Zembo · 07/01/2012 20:07

Blue thanks for booking lunch venue for our MU, really looking forward to it Smile

MrsCB I've ordered the Whistles coated jeans too - it didn't take much to persuade me as I love the CdeC ones and generally like coated jeans for all the aforementioned reasons. Lunch outfit sounds perfect.

Verity I like your determination re: getting to the shops as soon as the DC are 'disposed of' Grin We have huge marble tiles in our bathroom (floor and walls) and I love it. Floor space is fairly small so not too bad keeping it clean although it does show everything. We've also got light coloured travetine on the kitchen floor - now that is pretty high maintenance.

Fleecy sorry to hear about the mastitis - nasty stuff, hope you recover soon. I've got the cobalt JBrands and so pleased I'll get another seasons wear out of them (as bought full price from NAP) Amber I have much to learn from you!

Fritzi your holiday sounds amazing! Nice to see you back.

Bloss be careful with the mountain biking. A very good friend of mine (a mad mountain biker/ skiier/general action man) had a terrible accident recently (on an easy route!) - still in a neck brace 8 weeks after the event, and it could have been a lot lot worse.

MrsCampbellBlack · 07/01/2012 20:08

Blue - have you tried phoning whistles customer service - they tracked the black roxy down for me.

We rented for 3 years prior to buying last year and love our new home - well it needs a lot of work but thats fun too.

FritziGreenEyes · 07/01/2012 20:10

Wow bloss you are turning into super mountain bikeress Grin. Bet that DS is super excited about your trip and cannot wait to tell his friends all about it on Monday.

blue Don't listen to the Wii!, you are pregnant!!!

blossoming · 07/01/2012 20:15

No, *fritzi, I was a wreck. And almost in tears! Glad I didn't buy a bike for Christmas as the one I hire is a much better one than I could afford.

Wow, another pair of coated skinnies flies off the shelf!

blossoming · 07/01/2012 20:19

notyummy, Biggest Loser series 10 is on Sky 107. Episode 1. Right now!!

FritziGreenEyes · 07/01/2012 20:19

bloss Sorry, I didn't mean to be flippant about your trip. Glad you got back safely!

Russianred · 07/01/2012 20:25

Ooooh Fritzi our favourite place to take my Oma for Afternoon Tea, The Winchester. And we ate a lot at La Boheme (not surprising, given the location). You're strengthening my resolve to go out at Easter. Congratulations on your new niece/nephew.

And yes Icey, that was such a lovely thing to do for your friend, I was also touched when I read it.

Am all ready to order the Whistles skinnies, but am in my usual 8 vs 10 dilemma. The problem for me is that I have the bum of a 10, but the waist of an 8 and I hate trousers gaping as I always end up with trousers halfway down my bum.

Outfit sounds lovely MrsCB - well-pitched for a reunion.

Well done on the biking Bloss - I loved my ride when in Shropshire and would be really keen to make it a regular thing. Bless your DS.

Blue see how you feel when the Roxy arrives. I have to say, not to add fuel to your doubtfulness, the black version is the most beautiful jacket I've had and so, so versatile. If you love it, could you still return the TS one? Second MRSCB on the CS front - Whistles are very, very good like that and they send to you for free.

OP posts:
Zembo · 07/01/2012 20:42

Blue Whistles CS sorted me out with the black Roxy too, at the time (about 2 weeks ago) they said that there was one more left in a size 6 in Selfridges in Manchester. I've seen the cream one irl and it is quite yellowy.

Bloss meant to say well done on your biking achievement too! I'm a complete wuss and get too frightened to enjoy the adventure - I don't like downhill activities (even walking!)

MarshaBrady · 07/01/2012 20:45

Yes big well done on the biking Bloss and your ds.

I am on for the 17th. Possibly food too. Not sure yet!

FritziGreenEyes · 07/01/2012 20:52

red Yes, yes you must go there at Easter!!!

blossoming · 07/01/2012 20:52

fritzi, sorry if it came across that way, I didn't mean it too.

Hopefully · 07/01/2012 20:56

Apologies, I'm an enormous lurker on this thread, just wanted to de-lurk and say that I recently ordered and sent back the cream Roxy - it wasn't just that it was yellowy, more that it was a kind of slightly greenish taupe-ey cream, which wasn't necessarily a bad colour, but really wasn't at all versatile - too cool toned to go with most browns and other neutrals, but not quite cool enough to go with bright colours, iykwim. I love the black, but black looks shite on me.

Apologies for the brief interruption Blush Grin
