New thread.

Great, Marsha.

Blue, I preferred Agnes to Houlihans and got rid of mine.

AmberNectarine · 06/01/2012 15:36

Just seen the Matches clearance shop has opened in Wimbledon Village or 10 days. That's my Saturday sorted then.

MidnightinMoscow · 06/01/2012 15:43

Hello.

Well I tried my Hypnobirthing CD today - I ended up falling asleep for 2 hours so at least I can testify it relaxed me.

blue I have sharkskin Houlihans, and I love them. But then I have never tried a pair of Agnes on. I think they are really useful, have worn them with ballet flats for day time and black heels for evenings. I hope they are flattering!

carciofi Its good to have something to aim for, especially something as wonderful as a new home. I keep reminding myself of the lovely new bedroom and kitchen we'll have. Have learnt in the past though that I cannot do a total non-spend, and end up wasting £££. So, the mantra of wise things that I'll really treasure continues....

NY love those trousers. Grin

Good for you Red, sounds like you are loving the freedom of driving. I can't wait until I have the baby as I am hopefully going to get a small run-around. Like you I have been walking/bus/training it. It can be very restrictive, especially with DC's.

carciofi · 06/01/2012 16:19

MiM, the houlihans looked great on you. I couldn't do a no spend either! DH says he merely asks that I don't buy up mini Boden and White Co for the kids anymore and don't go over budget. Not unreasonable, I suppose. :o

The Asos silk blouse is too short in the arms, I'm saving money all around this week (apart from the J Brands and this, for my Milk Tray man impression!).

pickledsiblings · 06/01/2012 17:06

Ollie, thanks for the link to Emo's dress Smile. Another great dress Emo, how do you think you will style it? I'm guessing you wear your Joseph one with black opaques.

Red, great news about the driving and even better if you can manage with one car.

Blue, how lovely, a girl. Fav girls names of late include Lily, Nancy Wink, Anna and Rose/Rosalind.

Carciofi, I never have the too short in the arms problem. Love the black polo and think they look v. sexy {DD has just peeped over my shoulder and wants to know why I have written something rude Grin}.

I have really enjoyed 6/8 of my 100 minute lessons this week. I had a bit of a boost today when one of the DSs teachers came up to me in the playground when I was collecting them and said that her daughter had told her that she had a lovely new Chemistry teacher yesterday Blush.

I am off out to a party tonight and will wear my new GP Finchley park top with black Agnes, have great Friday evenings everyone.

FritziGreenEyes · 06/01/2012 18:50

We are back since this morning and had the most fantastic time in SA! Loved Cape Town and every other stop on our way along the Garden Route was just great. So many things to see and do and DD was a great travelling companion: zip-wiring through forests, braving the waves of the ocean with DH, eating out almost every night, making new friends wherever we stayed, sitting in the car during safari for hours or just napping when she was too exhausted. Except for the bumpy flight home through storms and nasty weather, I thoroughly enjoyed it all. We had such great food and I consumed gazillions of calories from wine intake only Smile.

Have spent most of the day on the couch and enjoyed reading about everyone's Secret Santa, what you all did for Christmas and New Year's Eve. So many lovely links and great buys in the sales too! Have missed you all!

carciofi · 06/01/2012 19:23

Fritzi, welcome back, glad you had a good time.

Blue, just noticed that you are having a girl, congratulations! Oh the shopping opportunities.... :)

carciofi · 06/01/2012 19:51

Pickled, enjoy the party. That was a lovely compliment.

MrsCampbellBlack · 06/01/2012 19:54

Hello - can't remember who said about the whistles navy coated skinnies but they're fab - bought them today! Will look better when christmas podge is gone.

Have you all done your SS12 wish lists yet? I am coveting a trench, a new bag (hello AH black maxi satchel in black) and some red mih jeans.

Off to London next week for a Donna Ida feedback thing and am hoping to fit in a quick whizz round selfridges.

blossoming · 06/01/2012 21:46

Hi everyone! Welcome back fritzi. Glad you had a great time. I've missed your posts very much.
I'm having a successful week. First the Agnes, and then today, the Jigsaw cowl neck top arrived and it is a) the perfect colour b) the perfect shape and c) the perfect size. Perfect.
I've been browsing the Boden site all evening. There is a 20% off code on another thread. Haven't bought anything yet, but have my eye on cardigan in storm, bandeau swimsuit in amethyst, and maybe twist jersey top also in storm. Oh and as a wildcard and for something to wear with my white denim knee lenght skirt the wrap jersey top. Haven't pressed 'buy' yet though.
It's another please from me marsha. I would love to see your work.
Hope the headache sufferers are on the mend. I suffer too, like you ny, usually when a lot of driving has been involved.

Carciofi, Ants and Bloss have pm'd you. Smile

Fritzi welcome back! So nice to see you.

Need to give SS some thought.

Russianred · 06/01/2012 22:22

Can someone play fashion fairy for me? Am on the hunt for bright red 811s at a sale price in a 26; i've phoned every branch of Selfridges and looked on all sites including Ebay and no joy. Should have bought sooner and not done my usual dithering routine.

OP posts:
blue2711 · 06/01/2012 23:06

I dither then regret too red - I never seem to learn! I'll keep a lookout for you.

Your SA trip sounds amazing fritzi. Hope to do the same one day. Welcome home.

Thoroughly enjoyed my mini wander / waddle round the shops this afternoon, the first since before Christmas. Got this Reiss pink silk t shirt which I've wanted for ages and a whistles cardigan from the new collection. Can't see it online but it's heavy dark cream cotton and boyfriend style, v nice. Oh and some lovely white company bits for baby in the sale. Sales definitely done now; on to SS and a new wish list, to be composed...

Those boden choices look good bloss.

zembo, ny and icey, the table for our MU is booked as agreed. Excited!

ReineDeSaba · 07/01/2012 02:32

emo you are officially crowned queen of the red dress.

carciofi and annie good tips for putting aside clothes for my girls.many thanks.

nye I liked all your links except the trench but double breasted always strikes fear into my heart!

pickled I was a bit Shock that you are a chemistry teacher..I just assumed with your great writing style you taught English.

Did someone link ages ago to a charity that takes old bras or did I make that up Blush

The only thing I can think of for 2012 wishlist is a piece of jewelry, specifically a bracelet, made by a great jeweller friend of DH in NY..she has gifted me some gorgeous personal pieces over the years, but I would like to comission a bracelet to incorporate my dds(engraved or meaningful charms?)

zembo blue yummy and icey lovely to have your minimeet on the horizon.

fritzi so great to have you back Smile ..trip sounds brilliant!

notyummy · 07/01/2012 07:58

Thanks for booking Blue!

Your holiday sounds amazing Fritzi. So glad you enjoyed it! Brought back memories of the first part of our honeymoon- we did a few nights in Cape Town and then flew elsewhere inSA for a safari.

carciofi · 07/01/2012 09:10

Reine, you can donate your old over the shoulder boulder holdershere. The bracelet sounds lovely.

Red, if you contact customer service at Revolve they might be able to do a special order for the red jeans.

I'd like a red AH bag & wallet, these in navy (I think I've already ordered them but can't remember Blush, a couple of jersey dresses, black MIH Paris jeans and maybe a Mulberry bag. Also want to try the Whistles navy jeans MrsCB bought and have just remembered that I have a gift voucher for Westfield from DH so happy days. But above all I'd like a reliable babysitter!

FritziGreenEyes · 07/01/2012 09:42

reine Your jewellery sounds lovely. I'm going to have a necklace for my sister made with her DCs' names engraved.

carciofi Wish I could send you one of our great babysitters. You deserve one Smile

notyummy · 07/01/2012 10:39

I am also keen on the Whistles jeans! What cut are they MrsRCB? And are they true to size? I have found my Gap coated skinnies have excellent 'hold you in' properties because the coating doesn't allow as much sag as ordinary jeans- are these the same...?

GeorginaWorsley · 07/01/2012 10:40

Hi ladies, not posted for ages but have been lurking.
Agree with those Boden choices Bloss, love that storm grey colour and had a taupe coloured twisted top last year which was greatly admired!

carciofi · 07/01/2012 10:49

Fritzi, thanks, wish you could too!

Georgina, hi, happy new year.
