Ooh Pickled I see girls on the horizon too! Imagine if we're right! I've accurately predicted the gender of many children recently, including my own. 100% success rate Wink.

Yes to second labour being very, very easy. I kind of cheated with an Elective, but if any of you go down that route they really are lovely things. I enjoyed the 3 days on my own in hospital with DD without any of the added exhaustion of labour. But that might just be me.

Yes BiL is basically a prize twat.

DS had his first pre-school session today, which I stayed for. I am thrilled as it is such a lovely environment (he was in the 2-3 tiny nursery section before Christmas) with amazing staff and I know how much he will thrive there. DD bloody loved it too - charging around trying to be a big girl.

Well done on the Agnes spot Amber, you've made many women happy tonight!

Bloss think the SS stuff is about to go onto the main Boden site any day now as no preview site available today so there will be a new code or two floating about soon. Im not getting away wear out of my chiffon trim cardi from last year - think it just hits my (chunky) thigh at the wrong place. They have a shorter round necked one for SS which may be better for me.

Pickled Shock about your pupil.

Think Icey is having another girl and MIM another boy - no idea why I think that tho! My second labour was very similar in some ways to the first (long gaps between contractions) but I def felt more confident when communicating with the midwife and Drs (eg the one birthing stool in the ward was broken so they suggested I sit on the loo instead - er, no).

DH and I made a nice Lorraine Pascale dish for dinner - pork with rosemary in a creamy caramelised onion, cider and apple sauce. Would recommend her second book.

Going to see The Help tomorrow evening and have a days shopping with a friend on Saturday (tho am trying not to buy anything this month - famous last words) - a nice way to end the school holidays I thought.

Russianred · 05/01/2012 21:14

Ooh Emo you're going to look amazing in the Moschino. What an excellent price too!

Love the red dress for you emo. But are you sure your dh will let you out dressed in it Wink?
Have you seen the White Co's new stuff carciofi? [silly question emoticon]. I really like them for basics.
You are shopping up a storm pickled. I am waiting for sales stuff too. The assessment book arrived. It is double dutch to me. DH will translate Grin.
An advisor from the county is coming to see me next week. She was dressed really well in a course I recently went on that she took. What to wear?
Have decided to wear Davina for my big dinner. DH loves them, and he never sees me in them as I wear them for work. Probably the tweed one as it's like a country house we're going to.
Off to pour some wine.

MarshaBrady · 05/01/2012 21:19

Ooh Pickled / Emo yes that black Joseph one is nice. And wool too. I might have to check it out this weekend.

Love the red one Emo.

Pickled you are on a shopping/working roll. So is it good... How are you feeling?

ApuskiMcClusky · 05/01/2012 21:31

Hello, not doing very well at my resolution to post more! Am ill though, feels like I have had a migraine brewing for the last couple of days, so have had to cancel my attendance at the mums night out tonight.

Apologies for not referencing posts, I was postponing posting until I could properly catch up but I'm not quite with it!

OllieinOrange · 05/01/2012 22:15

Emo i think you have found your next meet up dress, its gorgeous, as will you be in it.

Apuski sorry you are not feeling well and that you are having to miss your night out. Hope you can get some rest.

notyummy · 05/01/2012 22:21

Emo, I can't see your Moschino dress as it's on NAP. Can anyone find another link to it please.

OllieinOrange · 06/01/2012 08:44

Pickled try this link <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=moschino+ruffled+crepe+dress&hl=en&sa=X&rlz=1I7ADFA_enNL418&biw=1440&bih=615&tbm=isch&prmd=imvns&tbnid=q5JtIcym_H_3aM:&imgrefurl=www.polyvore.com/moschino_cheap_chic_ruffled_crepe/thing%3Fid%3D42106450&docid=Zw3nbTNf5kRUeM&itg=1&imgurl=www.polyvore.com/cgi/img-thing%253F.out%253Djpg%2526size%253Dl%2526tid%253D42106450&w=300&h=300&ei=HbQGT5-1A426-Ab078zPAQ&zoom=1&iact=rc&dur=125&sig=104069885129455667798&page=1&tbnh=115&tbnw=115&start=0&ndsp=32&ved=1t:429,r:2,s:0&tx=55&ty=61" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">here

Portia4 · 06/01/2012 08:49

Morning all, sorry I haven't been posting, but have I've been ill with bronchitis and sinusitis!

Emo those dresses are fab! You'll look great in the red as we all know!

Annie I do think those leggings are a bit pricey, but did lol at the thought of you trying them on in the loo at work!

Pickled Sounds like you'll be another teacher with a great working wardrobe!

Apuski Sorry to see that that you too have been ill.

I haven't bought anything as my wardrobe is bulging, I really do need to start ebaying, I must look at the eBay thread, did any of you who also were going to start have any luck?

notyummy · 06/01/2012 09:09

Apuski - oh dear - snap!! I also have a migraine brewing and its horrible, isn't it? I sometimes get it where they don't 'develop' fully, so I don't have to lie down in a darkened room/nausea/problems seeing, but I just get an awful headache and tiredness that can go on for days. I think it is related to time of the month and tiredness for me - and yesterday I had a 14 hour day at work including 4 hours of driving in the dark, which pretty much equals a headache for me. I am hoping some codeine and a run will mean I don't have to resort to Imigran - at £8 per tablet I don't like taking them too often Wink.

Portia - that sounds awful. Really hope you feel better soon.

Just to cheer you up ladies, I couldn't resist posting these. I mean, I know there are whole threads for this sort of thing, but WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?? I do own items from said store, as you well know....but it can get things so very, very wrong sometimes....

Russianred · 06/01/2012 09:39

Morning ladies, sympathies to migraine sufferers, horrible for you. Hope you're feeling better soon too Portia .

Day 2 of driving again - i feel so liberated! The only caveat to my car-having is dropping Dhaka at work each morning. Not an ideal start to the day - hurrying 2 toddlers through breakfast never fun. But today i'm seeing a friend now, dropping ds off, on to another friend for coffee and then running errands before collecting Ds. Nothing revelatory, i know, but completely life-changing for me after walking everywhere for 3 years.

OP posts:
MarshaBrady · 06/01/2012 10:45

I just had to google some old work I have done and a Polyvore link came up.

I pressed on it and one of my pieces is set out against a Suno tartan skirt, Marni blouse and above the knee socks.

Sounds about right Grin.

So funny! Fashion and work collide.

blue2711 · 06/01/2012 12:51

Thanks for all the encouraging words on second labours! Feel much better today after resting yesterday. Sympathy to those suffering from migranes and illness. Nearly the weekend and a chance for some cosy hibernation, hopefully.

Sounds like a great Zara haul, pickled. Still waiting for mine, and for my TS order. No real shopping success lately so am hopeful. About to go into Nottm for a mini look round the shops before meeting DH - going to look at Hobbs for OTKs, Reiss for blouses and Jigsaw for long stretchy lacy vests.

emo that red dress is divine. I own the red skater style dress from Zara last year that everyone seemed to have and loved it so would definitely invest in another, better quality red dress if I found it.

Oh and those predicting baby girls, we were told that DC2 will be a girl, so you're already part-right. I'm trying to resist pink fever but have picked up a few pretty things so far. Anyone with baby girls, check out the Celia BIrtwell range for JL; it's gorgeous.

ny your link made me laugh!

red enjoy the driving! Have such respect for you for coping for 3 yrs with no car. Have your spot trousers arrived yet? Excited about mine coming. Good WIT post today.

carciofi · 06/01/2012 12:53

Marsha, I would love to see some of your work, could you link? Or PM and link?

NY, hope the migraine doesn't take hold. Those trousers are hilarious!

Apuski, Portia, get well soon.

Portia, I have had some success with ebay but the last few things I ebay didn't make much so I have gone off it a bit.

Red, great about the driving, I needed to get started again too.

Emo, you will look smokin' hot!

Bloss, I like a couple of the new White Co tops but would like to see them irl before I order! I need a few new white tops too as I have shrunk a few of mine by throwing them in the dryer by mistake with the baby's muslins. I have spent my budget for Jan though. I've printed out a photo of the house I like in Dublin and stuck it up in the kitchen to remind myself not to spend too much! We are not going to put in an offer on this house but keeping an eye out for similar in the next year or two.

blue2711 · 06/01/2012 12:55

Any houlihan owners / lovers out there? Contemplating bargainous olive ones from Amber's HOf eBay store. Great price and have always wanted a pair. Do you find them a) flattering and b) useful? Thanks!

AntPants1 · 06/01/2012 13:01

Oh yes marsha would love a link to your work......

AntPants1 · 06/01/2012 13:02

Oh and red well done on getting your driving mojo.

MarshaBrady · 06/01/2012 13:06

Ok will put it on the profile later on. Too nervous to link!
