Marsha, pale pink and hot pink J Brands on My-W.com. I have them in red and they are very nice indeed. I think I'll stick to bright blue and put the DDs in the pink jeans!

Annie, I understand the compulsion only too well. You can probably cancel the order.

carciofi · 04/01/2012 22:28

Annie, I loved that movie! I went down a size in the Agnes.

carciofi · 04/01/2012 22:37

About the ILs and snobbery, my bil calls me Verruca Salt. I pretended to laugh the first few times, now I just want to slap him!

Russianred · 04/01/2012 22:51

I rather like the sound of pale pink jeans. Not to worry about Selfridges, but how annoying of your babysitter. Again! MY BiL is equally, if not a little more offensive, in his name-calling. I'm 'European Jew'. We don't see them very often.

Well done for getting through your first day Pickled. Did you enjoy being back in the classroom?

Annie I needed a 27 in the Agnes.

If anyone is around - how true to size are Topshop trousers? I'm a 26 in their jeans, but haven't tried on trousers since my working days. Am keen to make an impulse purchase.

Oh Annie sorry about the argument - bad evening for him to be drunk with you having just returned to work, but remember the lovely two weeks you have just all had together. A blip, am sure.

I know I'll be between an 8 and 10 - the trousers are 4% elastane, so wondering if they'll give.

This pair as seen on WIT. I wanted the green pair but could never get hold of them.

blossoming · 05/01/2012 06:53

Good luck finding Agnes annie. I don't think there's a single pair left anywhere!

OllieinOrange · 05/01/2012 06:58

Pink jeans - sort of thing I would see on someone else and think oh nice but would look just so wrong on me. Big fan of pink trousers when younger a la Bloss and Carciofi tho - esp ones my Mum made me......

Annie I got a size too big in Agnes and regret it.
Pickled sounds like you hit the ground running today, well done you. Do you have a good feeling about it all? Hope so.
MiM I loved that kitchen range you linked to yesterday - really simple but v stylish.

Did anyone else enjoy reading about WITs Christmas too?

Can we talking Match MU? Is it def on for Sat 17th March? I must look at flights and then think about the hotel. Any thoughts about the rest of it?

Another bad storm here with high winds and rain so Im resorting to taking DSs to Ikea for breakfast and a play. High brow stuff it aint but they of course think its the best thing ever Hmm.

OllieinOrange · 05/01/2012 07:08

Bloss - you have probably seen them (sorry if I missed them being mentioned) but J Brand Mavericks have zips like Agnes - but also cargo pockets. here

AmberNectarine · 05/01/2012 07:33

bloss and annie HOF are selling Agnes for £117 on their eBay outlet. I find them true to size btw, unlike the 811s, where I have 3 different colours and 3 different sizes!

On the subject of J Brands I am a big fan of my jodhpurs, very comfy!

Woke up to screaming naked toddler who had wet the bed. Sigh. Wish DH would hurry up and come back from his course, he usually deals with early morning incidents! assume he will not be feeling his best today as I got an email at 3am to tell me how much he loves me Hmm at least it wasn't a phonecall.

So many babies due, how exciting! Must admit it has been really nice to not be pregnant over Xmas for once!

Like those trousers red was considering them myself. Not sure if spots really work for me though, think I need something a little more edgy, more girly stuff seems to make me look twee.

I have the hot pink carciofi which are v nice.

Blowing a gale here too ollie, your morning sounds good fun. Am thinking of coercing DH into an ikea trip at the weekend.

notyummy · 05/01/2012 08:23

Morning all!

Yuk! What a horrible way to start back to work. The weather here is utterly foul and I have just had a very scary drive to work, including a long wait which turned out to be because of a car crushed by a tree. Rather scary to say the least. Wind was absolutely howling last night - thankfully DD can sleep through anything. Lots to do today, but am struggling to get back into the zone, to say the least. Wore on my new dresses in an attempt to cheer myself up.

Ollie - in this weather a trip to IKEA sounds fine to me Smile. I was also wondered about the MU. I have it in the diary for the 17th?.although haven't told DH yet!! He should be alright though because he is potentially going to Holland for a long weekend to see friends just after we return from Australia?so it's only fair that I go to London too, right?

Annie - sorry to hear about the fight. Hope it has blown over this morning. I find DH quite annoying when drunk (and I am sober) so was regularly irritated by him when we went out when I was pregnant!! It's not so bad when I have been drinking too - I assume we are both as annoying as each other then Wink

Red and Carciofi - am aghast at your BILs. Not surprised they are not regular visitors.

Pickled - how exciting re the job, although I am sure it is very tiring. I am sure it will be worth it though.

Oh - and TS trousers. I would say true to size, normally (i.e not big like M and S/Gap etc.)

MidnightinMoscow · 05/01/2012 08:26

Morning.

Yep, really wet and windy here again today. Day two of staying in with DS. Although I cannot complain, he was pretty good yesterday and we did lots of pretend cooking with the mini kitchen and we seemed to have formed a band with him on keyboards and me on a Thomas the tank engine guitar. Blush

Sorry to hear of the row Annie, these things are always upsetting.

Ollie I liked reading WIT's Christmas, although was not keen on her NYE dress.

Sounds like you had a great day yesterday Pickled, well done to you. Are you back today? I'd not heard if that about ETAM, but remember it well as my first bra was from Tammy girl which was above Etam. Used to love Chelsea girl too.

Wise to default on the pale pink jeans carciofi, I think the blue ones are lovely though, and will look great with a bright white t-shirt.

Amber, sounds like a busy start to the morning. I am considering starting potty training with DS next week...fingers crossed as I haven't got a clue what I am doing. Do you know, I am exactly the same when it comes to girly clothes too. French connection always have a jersey dress in stock in various prints. It should be flattering as its knee length, soft fabric and covers the tummy well. But the lovely vintage/floral prints just make me look frumpy. I'd love to be able to pull off stuff like that.

MidnightinMoscow · 05/01/2012 08:40

Quick question - What eye cream does everyone use? I have finally got my skin a lot more under control and calmer lately (thats what happens when I am not in work). But I have not used an eye cream in ages, and even then it was a cheapy one.

Any ideas?

MarshaBrady · 05/01/2012 08:52

Ah yes thanks Carciofi. I really liked Amber's hot pink ones, the pale colour doesn't look as good on that model.

Ollie, yes 17th March. Easy old venue or new one, I don't mind.

notyummy · 05/01/2012 08:59

MIM - I have this one which came with rave reviews. Only started using last week, so not sure I can see any difference yet.....

Am loving the image of Annie climbing into leggings in the work loos!

MiM I think with potty training its best to expect the worse and than anything better is a plesant surprise. Found with DS2 that a little homemade reward chart (in the shape of a race track) with stickers worked. At the end there was a picture of a toy truck he'd been hankering after for ages - he was dry (daytime and nightime) within a week.

Back from Ikea - and managed to stick to my list which almost never happens. Nothing exciting: flask, glass jars, dustpan and brush & meatballs!

Re MU - I loved the bar, more than happy to go back there esp if we can sit where we were last time? Does anyone want to meet up earlier for something to eat? Bloss will you be able to stay over this time? Hope so.
Annie - would be such a shame if you can't make it, any chance of sneaking out of your bday party?
