Here we go..

OP posts:
OllieinOrange · 11/10/2011 13:33

The run of W&A bad luck continues - came out of my Dutch lesson to find someone had scraped my car - bad job over the rear wheel arch which includes a dent and lots of missing paintwork. At least they left their contact details in a note but its a Belgium telephone number so goodness knows how the insurance will sort that out. Popped to the Expat Food shop and cheered myself up with a packet of pickled onion Monster Munch and some Tootie Fruities sweets!

Back later x

ReineDeSaba · 11/10/2011 13:45

Wow..thread moving fast..thanks by the way for starting the new one amber ..had to Grin at your little one trying to lay claim to your bed!very familiar!

So far I have escaped the full moon's wrath but sorry to those who've had difficult days..nasty stunt to pull red and completely unsupportive of your mum every

annie I love that tweed dress and you would look very voom voom in it!re-being a SAHM I love lots of bits of it but I am definitely someone who needs other things going on..I already have projects leading me back to work even though it probably won't actually be for a couple of years.

Re-shouting..a lovely friend of mine told her own DS off a few months ago at a coffee morning and the hostess said 'we don't shout in this house' Shock
My DH and I had a good chuckle over that one.

right,i'm going to disappear off to read more of 'how to be a woman' while dd2 naps Smile ..better days all..

ReineDeSaba · 11/10/2011 13:46

Oh ollie that's awful but good that they didn't cut and run..

wideawakenurse · 11/10/2011 13:53

Hi all.

Posting from work so not able to catch up properly.

Bad luck ollie. Hope the MM cheered you up!

amber funny that our DC's were born very close, just seen when you got marrid from your previous post, we were early April 09.

Blissfully unaware of the implications of a full moon here Smile, sorry to hear of the bad luck though, hope your days are getting better.

Reine those were fab trousers you linked to, but would require an amazing pair of pins to do them justice. I ordered In | Latest Designer FashionLHN--r8|c1--301679 these gorgeous JBrands but definitely don't have the legs for them so returned them yesterday. Also impressed at your back to work projects. I've been off for just over 2 months now and am pondering ways of keeping up to date. No idea how long my break will be yet.

Grey day here today so decided to wear my Whistles rope print dress with grey falke opaques, brown plaited belt and chocolate brown Hobbs boots (from a few years ago), I quite like the brown and grey together. Also wearing these armwarmers which are fab, think I'll be wearing them loads.

Just ordered these boot shapers, trying to get my A/W wardrobe in order. That's all for now!

Annie the arm warmers are available in different colours and cheaper here, I might get another pair, they're super cosy and meant I could wear my dress without the need for a coat today Smile

pickledsiblings · 11/10/2011 16:34

hello again zembo, glad you are well and enjoying your stint at home Smile - arm warmers are a great invention, especially for capes. i may have to buy some too.

pickledsiblings · 11/10/2011 16:42

ollie, is this long length down coat the sort of thing you're after

MarshaBrady · 11/10/2011 16:58

Good one with the arm warmers Zembo. As have a cape thingo.

MarshaBrady · 11/10/2011 17:16

Roary definitely up for a mini meet! Which dates are you free before you go?

I have ordered a black dress as going to try and be slinky in black. Will link if ok. Felt underdressed last time. Not again!

wideawakenurse · 11/10/2011 17:19

Love the arm warmers, what a great idea.

I am hankering after a cape now too. red where was your cape from your wore on Saturday? It was georgeous.

OllieinOrange · 11/10/2011 18:25

I think "slinky" would be a v good theme for the next MU Marsha (either that or M&S bargainous shoes).

Speaking of which - I can't see the new shoe colours for sale on the website - is cos I am overseas and see a different version? Most confused.

redllamayellowllama · 11/10/2011 18:51

Goodness, there had been a spate of irritating factors for us all in the last few days. I actually hold quite a lot of stock in the full moon theory. Thank you for all your sympathies re. purse.

Amber hope the next few weeks are lovely for you all. I'm very much looking forward to half-term!

Ollie massive PITA but at least they left their details - we had similar a few years ago with no details left. Very annoying. But, I may have been responsible for some paint-scraping as a 17 year old who had just passed her test - karma, eh?

Reine that story is classic - what did she say to the hostess?

Annie sorry to hear last night was a bad one - DH gets it in the neck here and regularly, the poor guy. I can't seem to stop myself sometimes. He gives as good as he gets though - I guess that's a kind of team, right?!

I had to go back to the scene of the crime today to get my glasses fitted - thankfully with a discount for something or other and a special offer my new pair, even with super duper lenses, are only £140. I was anticipating £300+ so this was welcome news. Popped into Zara to get bits for the DCs and also picked up some lovely bottle-green jeans for me.

WAN my cape is from Oasis but I bought it about 6 years ago - it has been a fab buy actually - wore it during and post-pregancies and still now. I've seen similar in winters since.

redllamayellowllama · 11/10/2011 18:54

WAN this is similar in that the belt runs all the way round, so gives definition. I quite like the look of it actually.

redllamayellowllama · 11/10/2011 18:57

Forgot to link to DD's awesome new outfit these in green with this gorgeous jumper. Zara kids stuff is just so gorgeous, although the boys stuff does err on the Little Lord Fauntleroy side at times.

OllieinOrange · 11/10/2011 20:08

OMG! DH has taken leave of his senses and sent his mum an invite for our big 40th party - and even tho she is supposed to be babysitting DSs here and staying the night, she has replied saying she will come to the party and can we find another sitter for a few hours?
Er, no!
What was DH thinking? Its not the sort of party you invite your mother to. At our wedding, she went round our friends asking them all what they thought of her DS?

It would just be too weird! I need to fix this!

pickledsiblings · 11/10/2011 20:12

gorgeous things for your dd red. i can't believe someone nicked your purse like that Sad. i keep thinking of you when i'm perusing job vacancies - if i see anything interesting i'll send it your way.

pickledsiblings · 11/10/2011 20:15

annie, i agree that the tweed dress would look lovely on you. hope you have a nice evening with your girls.

pickledsiblings · 11/10/2011 20:16

ollie oh dear it really isn't your day..you need to treat yourself to a pair or 2 of those m and s beauties!
