Great night and afternoon part. Really fabulous. Emo looked amazing in red and got chatted up by mysterious men. Anniemac Red and Ants new to MU are gorgeous and lovely too.

And of course lovely to see my faves again. All still looking and being fab. Ollie you did a great job with the MU organising and making me laugh Grin.

So nice to have cuddles with my darling children this morning.

MarshaBrady · 09/10/2011 08:23

Good outfit breakdown Anniemac! Anniemac wore fabulous hair, earrings and a slinky dress and looked fab Grin

MarshaBrady · 09/10/2011 08:45

Afternooners... Red wore a very pretty printed dress and looked and is gorgeous, WAN looked lovely and glowing in black dress, Portia had a lovely ruffled top from Spain, Bloss looked amazing and slinky in black.

PORTIA4 · 09/10/2011 08:48

Morning all. Ollie thanks for organising yesterday,it really was nice to meet everyone in RL, apologies to those that I didn't get a chance to talk to.
I got home at about 11pm making sure I didn't miss my flight this time!
Everyone looked lovely, unfortunately I had to bow out at 6pm to head for the airport, I checked out all the shops from Marlybone to Regent st, which was great but managed to buy nothing!
Hope everyone has nice Sundays Smile

AntPants1 · 09/10/2011 09:44

Am slowly recovering from brilliant meet up. It was great fun. Amber, Carciofi, Roary, deep and everyone who could not make it. You were missed.

Sorry about reporting on frizi's fillet. Whilst she did indeed look tasty it was her lovely grey gillet I was trying to report on. I blame fierce spell check on iPad and yes too many wines!!!

reine I am sorry I ended leaving just as you were arriving. I was looking forward to catching up with you but lots of wine and a packed family day today meant I really really really needed to go and lie down!

Am not feeling too seedy today but I'll let you know how I am doing after cooking sausage casserole!!

carciofi · 09/10/2011 09:44

Glad you all had a good time! I was thinking of you as I stomped around the playground yesterday afternoon.

My newfound Belstaffs roadmasters were on trial yesterday and are for eBay, they are a bit tight, they were bought pre-dc.

Rufus, I like your Sandro clothes. Not sure about the studding on the boots. I have a red pair with studs and they are always falling off.

The company, Open Air Cambridge, that I bought the North Face coat from charged a £5 restocking fee. It is not much but I think it is mean and wouldn't buy from them again because of it. They said it is in their T&C and is only a fraction of the delivery cost. I've never had to pay a restocking fee elsewhere. It cost me £17 to return the coat and it was delivered in a dirty old box, it is not like they offered free returns either. Caveat emptor!

AntPants1 · 09/10/2011 09:45

bloss I never got round to asking...what was in the shopping bags? I spied whistles! Always a good sign!

carciofi · 09/10/2011 09:45

Ants, lol at fillet!

ElderberrySyrup · 09/10/2011 09:49

Have some Thanks, you splendid people.

wideawakenurse · 09/10/2011 10:10

Good morning.

Glad to hear that the rest of the evening was a success, and that a few hangovers have emerged this morning.

Very kind of you to say so Emo! It was great to have an excuse to great dressed up in a continuos sea of elasticated waists, baggy tops and flat shoes. Smile.

Yes, as Ants mentioned, you were all missed..and mentioned lots!

I did take a very sneaky de-tour via JL after Bloss told me about the Aigle being there. They didn't have my size in the Midnight, but managed to try it on in the Olive. What a great coat. It could be a very, very early birthday present from DH. That would rule out a new purse ( I really liked a mulberry) though.

So, I am looking for a long leather purse, ideally with the card section being horizontal as you open it. For about £60 ish. Any ideas?

A day of cooking here, roast chicken for lunch, and lentil soup for dinner.

Hope everyone has a good sunday.

MarshaBrady · 09/10/2011 10:15

Yes great title very nice to have a Latin one. Hi elderberry!

Ooh Rufus Sandro, love that label will have a look later on mac.

Christmas version sounds like a cracking idea Ants. As would be wonderful to see those that couldn't make it.

redllamayellowllama · 09/10/2011 10:21

YY to repeat performance at christmas time.

The Aigle really is getting good reports all round. WAN my purse is as you describe, with lovely clasp detail - from Ted Baker.

Mad rush for train this morning and am yet to eat. Feeling very grumpy about this!

Hi all. Am slightly hungover today! I had a lovely time and was so pleased to see you all. Thanks so much to Ollie for organising. Also to Emo for suggesting the evening venue and Marsha for letting us know about it. It was full of v beautiful people (Inc us, obviously!) Amber, Apuski and Carciofi- you were all missed. Thanks to Pickled for providing death defying entertainment Grin. Having seen her hair this morning I can officially say it looks fine!

Am now luxuriating in First Class and nursing my slightly fragile self.

IceCreamCastles · 09/10/2011 12:23

Hi everyone, just grabbing a quick coffee before train. Had fantastic afternoon and night yesterday- it's been a while since I stayed out for 12 hours!
V glad I couldn't indulge in the copious quantities of champagne that kept appearing else I would have been in a terrible state this morning! Have to say the sight of marsha and annie making very unsteady progress up the cobbled street will stay with me for a while as will ollie's cry of 'aghhhhh pickled!' at the hair in candle incident.

Goes without saying that everyone looked fantastic and it was lovely to meet people who hadn't been to a meet up before. Great work on the venues ollie, emo and marsha. Hope we get to do another one soon.

Hope you all have relaxing days today to get over the excesses.

AntPants1 · 09/10/2011 12:45

NY have just ordered your clutch from new look!!!!

Zembo · 09/10/2011 12:46

Lovely to hear about the meet up, sounds wonderful and again, so sorry to have missed it. Also nice to be welcomed back Smile.
I'm feeling fine thanks, really enjoying being at home with my DC now that I'm a full-time SAHM. We won't know if we're going to relocate to Glasgow until Jan 2012. I do need to curb my spending somewhat though Wink. Purchases over the last few months include this Chloe bag which I've loved using, very versatile, two coats from Comptoir Blush, this Burberry down coat which is lovely, the Whistles Adele blouse and Tessa stripe shift dress (sold out now I think) Blush Blush, and there have been other bits and bobs too. Ah well, at least I'm still avid enough to be here!

Like the coats you linked to Annie

Zembo · 09/10/2011 12:48

I did actually eBay a load of stuff and raise enough funds for the Burberry coat(tries to redeem self a little!)

pickledsiblings · 09/10/2011 13:09

Hello all

Yesterday really was a great day, thanks to all of you for making it so lovely. I particularly loved the evening venue - I don't know how those of you with other plans managed to drag yourselves away. I would happily go there again but I'm not offering a repeat performance of my death defying deed. I'll be smiling about that one for a long time Smile.

MarshaBrady · 09/10/2011 14:46

Zembo really lovely things you have bought. And welcome back! Smile

blossoming · 09/10/2011 14:55

So did ollie make it down to breakfast this time?

Re purchases: I had about half an hour to spare in JL when I arrived yesterday and loved a navy pinstripe pencil skirt in Whistles, a red and navy stripy top to tuck into it, and a floaty black t-shirt type thing. Unfortunately they didn't have the skirt in my size, so I left everything there and was told to go to HoF next door. After my hair appointment, I had an hour before my MAC appointment in Selfridges, so I decided to go the Whistles concession there instead (on the way, incidentally I saw rufus's Sandro dress. What would you wear on your legs with it rufus?) This was the start of a goose chase, which saw me running back down Oxford St to HoF, back up to South Molton St before being directed by the lovely assistant to St Christopher's Place (grr at only now discovering this location!) With 5 minutes to spare the lovely assistants there got me all 3 items, and some navy tights; I changed into the black top, and made my MAC appointment, just! I was in black skinnies, black top, black smokey eyes, and lkb platforms. Enough to scare small children. I loved it. DH wasn't so sure about the eyes when I got home!

It is a strange thing about Whistles: the website being so unfriendly, but I really loved their clothes in RL yesterday. I will be back.

Another great thing that happened to me in Euston later on: there is a new Thai outlet there and I had the most amazing green curry and rice, in a box! All for £4.99. They've been there a week apparently. Opposite the pasty place (no I wasn't contemplating a pasty!)

Afternoon tea was served with sandwiches on the bottom layer of a 3 plate (what on earth are those things called?) thing, tuna, cucumber, egg, ham and smoked salmon. Then on the middle layer, scones, clotted cream and victoria sponge, and on the top layer some 'fancies', mini lemon tarts, mini cupcakes, mini chocolate brownies, madeleines. Lovely. My tea was a bit strong though, prosecco better!

Was glad to be home this morning though. Cleaner had bailed again, piles of ironing needing doing, Sunday lunch ready to cook.. So am MN'ing as a treat after cleaning the kitchen and mopping all floors!

Hope everyone is well and recovering!

notyummy · 09/10/2011 15:04

I agree on venue Pickled - perhaps we should make it our regular spot!!

Lovely links Zembo!

ReineDeSaba · 09/10/2011 15:05

speakingofmetallicsifmylegswerelikefritziandyummys

zembo great to see you back..I made the mistake of clicking onto your burberry link and it is exactly what I have been looking for Envy except for the price.

ApuskiDusky · 09/10/2011 17:26
