After reading another thread about Spring ladies I was wondering if there are many autumns out there? I'm a leaf autumn, had my colours done about 18 months ago and am still trying to sort out my wardrobe/makeup! I'm hoping now that autumn clothes are in the shops there will be a few more things about in my colours!

Oh I forgot, Tesco also have some navy cords in as well, raspberryroop I went and checked my swatches after you said about the airforce colour but my swatch deffo has what I would call navy in it.

I don't know what I am going to do about tights, I just can't get away from the feeling that black is more slimming! Might wear brown knee highs with black tights - or is that the ultimate sin?

QueenOfAllBiscuitsandMuffins · 05/09/2011 21:08

Just had a look at those links moonstorm and I don't think any of them are particularly autumn colours, the V Neck Slouch in Argent might correspond to lizard grey but I can't really tell from the screen. Grey (apart from waht they call lizard grey which isn't really what I would call a grey) doesn't figure on the autumn spectrum.

ShirleySharpeyes · 05/09/2011 21:19

Hi Moonstorm - really lovely jumpers - but not really Autumn sort of palette we are more greeny blue, brown, russet tones.

It really is worth getting your colours done (I don't work for HoC honest!) - it takes all the guess work out of it and it does make shopping far easier when you know certainly what is good - and what is not on you. Perhaps that would make a good birthday pressie instead? Then get the jumpers in your colours for Christmas!?

ShirleySharpeyes · 05/09/2011 21:22

Queen - I can't get either of your link to work? And I could really do with some cheap navy cords!! Will have to pop in when I next go into town.

QueenOfAllBiscuitsandMuffins · 05/09/2011 21:26

shirley go to tesco clothes and then search for F&F Boot cut cord trousers should be £16.

ShirleySharpeyes · 05/09/2011 21:33

Thanks Queen - but again the link doesn't work (but might be my settings!), I can only find them in a nude colour on the website which I don't think I will be wearing! But am pleased to see that they do trousers in a tall fitting so will keep looking.

QueenOfAllBiscuitsandMuffins · 05/09/2011 21:36

just try searching on cords, should bring them back on the second line first item.

That is a very, very lovely jumper Cleverything....Shirley goes off to shake the childrens piggy banks, and look under sofa cushions for spare dosh.....
I have a few t-shirts from uniqlo, and think there colours are great.

moonstorm · 05/09/2011 22:34

I thought you might say that! I am struggling to find really soft wool/ natural (warm fabrics) that aren't much more expensive. Will look at Uniglo.

I had thought about asking for my colours doing but my family are a little sceptical ! Blush

I love looking at the scarves you are choosing - it's really helpful

blondassassin · 05/09/2011 22:42

Evening ladies, can I join please?

I've been following this thread recently as I suspected I was an Autumn. I finally had my colours done at HofC last week and was 'diagnosed' Rich Deep Autumn Leaf + Blue Autumn... is that possible?! I'm a bit confused as if Rich Deep Autumns are closer to Winter and Blue Autumns are closer to summer how could I be both?! Confused I wonder if Clevery or any of the other better informed ladies on this thread could enlighten me.

(FWIW my best colours were Chestnut, Brick, Coffee, Dark Olive, Moss Green, Bronze, Marine Navy, Kingfisher and Forest Green.)

Will try to be less me me and more useful with some links soon...

blondassassin · 05/09/2011 22:45

Shirley have just re-read the thread and I also bought that Zara scarf. Lovely isn't it and a great colour!

ShirleySharpeyes · 05/09/2011 22:55

Hi Blond - your best colours are identical to mine! Lots of nice deep greens. And yes - I love the Zara scarf - will look forward to your links!

Ah the first 2 photos look very similar! I do find the shiny material harder to match however as my perception of colour is rubbish. Why do you think scarves - which are so near to the face - are marked under the 25% coloumn?

Stylelostinlabour · 06/09/2011 20:37

Hello Ladies can you help me? I had my colours done in 2008 and they said Warm, Deep, Clear - so am I an Autumn in new terms? So confused by all this talk of Spring, Autumn etc.

Is it worth having them redone or will I always be Warm, Deep, Clear?

raspberryroop · 06/09/2011 20:43

Moonstorm your colouring sounds similar to mine.

Kettlewell has some new autumn stuff on line some really lovely colours - and actually has a lizard grey scoop neck top !

Stylelostinlabour · 07/09/2011 19:18

Thanks Cleverything - I'm even more confused now...

I look best in Orange, Jade Green, Navy, Browns and Red (but not bluey reds) and not pinks if they have a blue undertone if that makes sense, I'm now thinking I'm an Autumn not a spring? Any ideas anyone?

QueenOfAllBiscuitsandMuffins · 07/09/2011 20:26

Hmm does anyone think this is close enough to autumns off-white? Has anyone see it IRL. Trying to find myself a bday pressie.

QueenOfAllBiscuitsandMuffins · 08/09/2011 16:18

Right went to Warehouse today to investigate the scarf above and it did correspond to no.10 oyster and the birds were mainly of autumn colours HOWEVER this scarf was made for dark blue autumns, it's exactly colour 25 which is Orange (and oh boy is it orange) and for me got ** as an accent colour! The main question is - am I brave enough to wear it???
Lovely and soft and nice weight and length.

blondassassin · 08/09/2011 16:53

Ooh Queen, those scarves are gorgeous. Particularly love the swallow print one - did you get it for your bday present?

I've ordered a couple of the Uniqlo cashmere jumpers that are on offer for £49.99 at the moment, here. Ordered in dark orange and what they call yellow, but which looks to be a light olivey green Confused -will report back with regards swatches when they arrive! There is also one of the greens on there that looks quite similar to Kingfisher.

QueenOfAllBiscuitsandMuffins · 08/09/2011 17:01

No I am dithering between the two blondassassin, unfortunately the days of buying both are behind me. I am buying a BLACK (gasp!) raincoat so I really need for the scarf to make me look radiant (lol)
