Bad x-post MrsJ. So sorry, that is deeple, deeply annoying. Worth e-mailing them so you're first in line for returns?

Oh no! Sorry about the bag MrsJ.

Yes - WIT's dress was lovely.

moragbellingham · 20/06/2011 16:09

Mrs J - It was linked to on another thread, maybe alot of people have it in their basket and will decide not to keep it. Keep checking, fingers crossed as it is lovely.

Emo76 · 20/06/2011 16:27

Oh MrsJ that really sucks - I am gutted for you - I am taking bags very seriously at present

Loving WIT's wedding dress red that looks like a wonderful place to wed!

notyummy I am going to read that article, sounds very interesting

fritzi what a haul - looking fwd to hearing how the trying on goes

olly looking fwd to hearing about your sequins!

hope petit is having lovely day in London and luck finding Gracie.

Have boring corporate dinner tonight, am wearing boring outfit too - Hobbs bow pocket dress , black hobbs courts and adding "colour" with navy BR mac and red furla bag. Monday night so can't even drink too much to numb the boredom

pickledsiblings · 20/06/2011 16:38

Bloss, how did it go today? Did it all come flooding back to you? I am wearing 'our' M&S breton in support Smile.

MrsJ, you'll find another equally gorgeous bag in the sales I'm sure. Did you look at Harrods?

Fritzi, well done on your purchases, we'll be expecting lots of photos Smile. Love WIT's wedding photos.

I have been so wise - I filled my NAP basket with lovely things last night and vowed to buy only those that were in the sale. Of course, none of them were.

MarshaBrady · 20/06/2011 17:01

Pickled very wise indeed.

MrsJ noooooo

Anniemac hello lovely hope you are ok with all the stuff going on.

Fritzi well done on the NaP excellence!

I'm sorry I can't hang around, feeling rather ill (in fact was ill, I am rarely sick). Looking at the computer screen makes me feel too nauseous! Can't even trawl through NaP.

I will be fine later, am sure.

pickledsiblings · 20/06/2011 18:06

Just experimenting to see if this works: My NaP bag

Can you see it ?

Marsha, I hope you're OK.

blossoming · 20/06/2011 18:32

Hi everyone!
Interview is on Wednesday.
Today I have been hovering over dd and the potty; printing off better graphics for my intrvw lesson; changing ink cartridges; taken ds swimming; made spelt pitta breads and stuffed them with roast lamb and red onion and hummus, and am about to go to governors.
Can't wait to open links later. Terrible luck mrsj. fritzi, you go girl!!

AntPants1 · 20/06/2011 19:36

pickled can see nothing...very mysterious!
mrsjuan nooooo I am so sorry.

fritzi can I just say I love everything on your list and your wish list. About the biker...it's just like the taupe ones I saw in Reiss yesterday. Cannot link as not on website. They were gorgeous and half the price. I am very very tempted.

So had a bit of a moment today. About once a year I feel really well turned out and today was my day! Wore my new Reiss cigarette pants. How did I survive without them! Old gold ballet flats and favourite Zara top. I really cannot recommend zara top enough....here

www.zara.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product/uk/en/zara-S2011/61142/369502/TOP%2BWITH%2BSTARS

The cream has a slight pink tinge to it - like you get with pearls- which means that it is incredibly flattering against my skin tone. Really. When. Wear it it looks like I have had 12 hours sleep. I really recommend it.

I popped into Reiss to get sparkly top which was not in my size yesterday. Still no joy but did walk out with this top!!

mobile.reissonline.com/shop/womens/cottons/eve/white/. It also comes in navy which is very nice.

AntPants1 · 20/06/2011 19:39

ollie saw this sparkly top in Reiss today. Is lovely and in the sale...

mrsjuan · 20/06/2011 19:52

Pickled - that's cruel - your link brought up my basket with my bag the sold out note taunting me Grin That strategy is actually very wise - would really reduce the number of buys we make 'just because it's in the sale'.
Ants sounds like a great outfit - glad it made you feel good. A top that makes up for lost sleep sounds like a good buy.
bloss a busy day! Hope interview goes well.
Marsha hope you feel better soon.

I phoned NAP & told them my sad tale. They've put me on the waiting list for returns but not holding out much hope. Yet another life lesson learned: never change tabs to gloat about one's purchase before triple checking that said purchase has been successful.

Who was asking about getting toddlers to sleep? I rocked DD in a rocking chair until she was about 20 months old. Now I put her in her cot with her dummies, say goodnight & leave her to sing / talk herself to sleep. The in between stages involved a lot of DH helping out, lots of talking about going to bed & role play in the day and some tears but only with one of us in the room with her. I still can't quite believe that she goes to sleep by herself now - I honestly thought the day would never come!

FritziGreenEyes · 20/06/2011 19:54

Thanks katy!

mrsj Nooooo!!!!!! Fingers crossed there will be returns and you get your bag!

pickled Your link leads me to an empty NAP bag Hmm.

ants is having a love affair with Reiss Smile. Your cigarette pant outfit is très chic!

bloss That sounds delicious! Have you made the spelt pitta breads yourself???

marsha You must indeed not feel very well if you pass up the chance of NAP sale Wink. Hope DH looks after you and you get better soon.

FritziGreenEyes · 20/06/2011 19:56

marsha Sorry that sentence was obviously complete nonsense: What I meant is that you must really be ill if you cannot even begin to consider looking at the NAP sale.

AntPants1 · 20/06/2011 20:05

fritzi I am indeed in love......!!!!!

wideawakenurse · 20/06/2011 20:24

Hello.

Fritzi great NAP'ing! Love the stripy vest top.

MrsJuan Sorry about the bag - however, you never know it may just be yours.

marsha hope you are feeling better soon.

annie, you sound so busy and I really feel for you with your child care problems. Hope this period is short lived and you get some sense of calmness again. DS went through a terrible period around 16 months where he would not go to sleep until 9pm - ish. He just cried and cried if you put him in his cot. It did resolve though, and now he goes down at 7pm with no fuss. We did swap from sleeping bags to a duvet too.

Ant's I have tried that top on in Reiss before, it's very flattering.

Well, I quickly popped onto the Kings road tonight after work to return some things to Zara. I had a look in the Ash store, tried on the Jalouse of which they had discounted down to £73. Sadly, they do come up big on me and the 5 was pretty loose. No other sizes in stock. So now I need to consider whether I am happy to spend £130 ish them....hmmmmm, ponders.

Came home to the delivery of the Banana Republic trench. Lovely material and structure but the sleeves are massive on me. So, I remain trench-less and dry shoe less just when we are having the wettest weather imaginable.

florenceuk · 20/06/2011 20:33

Ladies I have an invite to the Brora sale and I note the Crumpet sale has already started. So if you had a lot to spend on a nice scarf would you pick this one: desert scarf or this one in the lagoon or this: in platinum ?? Bearing in mind I'm Chinese so probably a Winter

Or I could get this: tunic which is not a scarf but appeals to me...

wideawakenurse · 20/06/2011 20:40

Prefer the crumpet scarf the most Florence.

dexter73 · 20/06/2011 20:42

florence - I have a plaid scarf from Brora and it is the scarf I wear the most. It goes with so many things and the mixture of colours are beautiful. I got the Brora preview too and have been deciding whether or not to get the exact same scarf!

florenceuk · 20/06/2011 20:47

Dexter I tried it on in Brora and it was just a lovely summery combination - but warm! The crumpet one is probably more "stylish" but then it's £40 more..

OllieinOrange · 20/06/2011 20:54

Think the Zara sale may start tomorrow, well, over here anyway - they had everything set up for sale in the one I walked past today.

Do we know when the Boden sale starts - and Wrap (the one this week was mid season and pants!)?

Annie no advice re getting toddlers to sleep I'm afraid - DS1 is 5 and is still awake whilst Im writing this - at 9.50pm! This has been going on for a couple of months now and think we are going to contact a sleep expert as its starting to affect his behaviour/physical appearance. Last night he came downstairs 4 times and kept calling out that he couldn't sleep - all so draining. Is DD too young to have a cd player in her room with lullaby/stories playing? This CD is fab - sung by the singer from Zero 7 - may not work with DS1 but I nod off within minutes! here

blossoming · 20/06/2011 22:26

You have lovely stuff there fritzi. I haven't looked at Vince before.
I am not buying anything. Or looking at the lovely Reiss links from ants.
(DH has threatened to pay off my cc. If he does that, he's going to have to know exactly how much I've been spending. If he pays it off, I'll just start spending again.. Much better to see my statement every month then pay it off in September with my own money.)
I think you will love the Agnes fritzi.
Yes, I made the pittas myself. Really easy, 5 mins in the kitchen aid, 60 minute proving time, 8 mins in the oven. Wish I'd made more to freeze. As it was I made bread rolls with the last of the dough. Will have to make soup or something to go with them!
Dh still working away this week, and I'm 'tweaking' my graphics for my lesson. Too early in the week for wine, so will have to bore myself to sleep instead!

OP posts:
pickledsiblings · 20/06/2011 22:41

Go on then Bloss, tell me about your lesson, you might inspire me. I am currently working on a 10 minute presentation 'My biography in Education' that I am going to give to the Head on Thursday. Having just been to some governor finance training, I fear that I may bankrupt the school if they employ me for a maternity cover.

rufus101 · 20/06/2011 23:21

Once again I am in awe of your baking skills Bloss. Have been finding it hard to keep up the last two days. Was at a 40ieth on Friday and another on Saturday! Apparently at the one on Saturday, I was walking along the dance floor, and a guy who was talking to my DH, said "hmm, look at her. would n't mind a bit of that or words to that effect", to which my DH said "that's my wife actually" (LOL. He was secretly thrilled!)
Fritzi love your NAP haul, and am so Envy of the Agnes j brands.
I am eyeing up this leather biker Seriously tempted. Got 3 great years of wear out of my last one. (It's totally wrecked now) I really like this MCQ scarf, but maybe they are everywhere? What do people think? I saw this emerald green scarf and thought of you Bloss!
So sorry you missed out on your bag MRSJ, fingers crossed that it will come back in.
Agree that you should start a blog OWW, I really enjoy your posts and imagine you'd put some lovely things together for crafty pictures.
WIT looked simply gorgeous didn't she? Although I was Grin at the idea of a breton striped wedding dress! Would only have been mildly surprised!

rufus101 · 20/06/2011 23:24

Oh yes! Want to buy a really nice bag. Was very set on mulberry but now feel the label has taken over, and it's too obvious. Although I still love the bags and wouldn't turn one down. I got a new job myself (tadah!) and wanted to celebrate. I always said I'd get myself something to mark the occasion, when I got a permanent post. Would love some suggestions!
