Bargain ballet flats!

So DH dragged me to TK Maxx - he's a bit obsessed.

Anyway they had Bloch ballet flats reduced from £130 to £24!

I'm obsessed with good quality ballet flats so got 3 pairs: a real snakeskin pair, a brown leather pair and a grey nubuck pair with feathers on Smile They had these ones in cream and black too, which I resisted.

They are a-may-zing. No words to describe the comfort and beauty.

Do they rub heels at the back please?

OhCobblers · 29/03/2011 14:10

fimbo they don't IME. i can quite honestly say they are the most comfortable pair of shoes ever and on some days i have walked all day in them with no problem Smile

OhCobblers - I am in London - there's a relatively new TK Maxx near Momument tube that is currently providing me with rich pickings.

Marsha - totally agree - I can't bring myself to pay full price now - although they had some really lovely braided leather pale pink peeptoes in Topshop Oxford Circus the other week, which I am coveting for summer.

OhCobblers · 29/03/2011 14:13

do you find they are only stocked in "Gold Label" stores?

the pink peeptoes are they TopShop own or do they stock Blochs too?

TIA

FreeButtonBee · 29/03/2011 14:16

Fimbo - no heel rubbing whatsoever. I never have to break them in. Even in the summer, I just put a new pair on and start walking. The have a tiny tiny bit of a heel with a weird sort of rubbery corner which seems to absorb impact really well. So I don't get that horrible heel spur pain that you sometimes get when wearing ballet pumps.

FreeButtonBee · 29/03/2011 14:20

Hmm, not sure. I think I might have got a pair in Clapham as well. But I can't remember.

Pink Peeptoes are Bloch as well, I can't seem to find them on any website but they are these except a lovely pale pink colour.

stillfrazzled · 29/03/2011 14:21

And what size are you? Has anyone found any size 7s, anywhere?

RamblingRosa · 29/03/2011 14:36

I went to T K Maxx at lunchtime and not a single pair of Blochs to be seen :(

I did come away with a summer frock though :)

FreeButtonBee · 29/03/2011 14:45

I am a 5; they seem to have a wide range of sizes, 5s are the least common.

opalmum · 29/03/2011 17:58

My local TK Maxx had a few red flower patent blochs in 5 & 7, there was a size 6 but I snapped them up! Been looking out for blochs for ages, thanks OP!

stillfrazzled · 29/03/2011 18:31

Which area are you in, opal?

Bohica · 29/03/2011 18:35

Nothing over here Sad I did buy DD a lovely pair of pumps though typically

moragbellingham · 29/03/2011 18:42

I found the mint green ones again today in my local store. They are never in the gold label bit though.

opalmum · 29/03/2011 19:50

Chelmsford, Stillfraz.

stillfrazzled · 29/03/2011 20:07

I can get there! But prob not till thurs or fri. Do you think they'd hold a pair for me?

phooey · 29/03/2011 20:46

My haul was from the Bromley shop, they had lots of stock in most sizes. It's a particularly good one for shoes - I got some fab Zara black sandals covered in studs from there a while ago, beautiful Isabel Marant rip-off jobs.

And I got some Carvela heels, I know they were Carvela as I'd tried them on, they were exactly the same, but had no branding on Hmm

Great tip! I love Blochs, the only ballet flats that don't rip my feet to shreds!

Will be belly to ground to TK Maxx tomorrow Grin

Bohica · 29/03/2011 21:22

opal I looked in the Chelmsford store for size 6 on Monday & they didn't have any in stock - you lucky opalmum you!!! Envy

opalmum · 29/03/2011 23:12

They are fab! But they do rub at the heel a bit :(

Bohica · 29/03/2011 23:16

Oh well, maybe you should give them to me then?? Grin

RamblingRosa · 30/03/2011 14:04

I went back to T K Maxx today (after an unsuccessful trip yesterday) and my perseverence paid off! I got a lovely snakeskin effect pair for £24. I was quite tempted by the green ones and also a patent grey pair with black toes but I managed to refrain from buying all 3 pairs.

Has anyone else noticed that they're really slippery in the rain. No grips whatsoever. Nearly broke my neck!

OhCobblers · 30/03/2011 14:15

ooh well done RR !! which one did you go to?
this thread is making me desperate for more even though i already have 3 pairs!!

OhCobblers · 30/03/2011 14:16

BTW i had been warned that they're very slippery in the rain!!

RamblingRosa · 30/03/2011 14:43

I went to the one on Charing X Road in London.

Feeling very pleased with myself as I've been desperate for a decent new pair of ballet pumps. I wear my other Bloch (also T K Maxx bargains) all the time and none of my other ones (mainly Clarks) are anywhere near as comfortable or pretty.

I may have to go back for the green ones Blush. They looked really cool on but I'm wearing blue jeans and I couldn't think what else they'd work with other than jeans.
