Well done Dolcee. I was wracking my brain whilst hyperventilating at the same time.

Bloss, the coat is fabulous. Love that it looks great open as well.

Here's my link again in case anyone needs some foot leopard - ballerina pump

redllamayellowllama · 12/01/2011 13:59

Love the jacket Blossoming, you look stunning!

traceybath · 12/01/2011 14:01

right have just had enormous lunch in prep for light soupy type dinner at 6am and early bed - Operation Morning Lark here we come!! Dh is away in Japan next week so I have got to get ahead of the game.

looby thanks so much for thinking of possible solutions for my work situation, you are sweet. Unfort dh is not often around on weekends - nature if his job, very erratic and often away (TV) And then when he is around I am loath to work as it's quite precious to be all 5 together. Re mother's help - yes, ideal. In fact my mum moved over from o/s to help out earlier last year but things haven't really, um, worked out and she is going home in a few weeks (at which time my stress levels will diminish considerably and my hair will no doubt grow back Grin) And then I didn't want to hire anyone bc of the move being in the pipeline. Anyway, as soon as we move, yes, I will find someone to perform all of my drudge so that I can just parent, write and shop in peace.

Going back to catch up on old thread now. Thanks for new title dolce

BTW I have heard from lovely monkeysmama - she's okay, just busy in RL and hopes that everyone here is well.

DolceeBanana · 12/01/2011 14:10

Am having a very lazy day as electricity on reduced power due to e-on working on power cables (or whatever they are doing); darling baby asleep, DD at nursery and DS at school. No appliances working properly and house freezing....so wearing multi layers and new tomato coloured wristwarmers (courtesy of dh)....

Talking of which, sounds slushy but have overlooked him recently, I think, so sent him a text saying 'I love you' and he phoned and said I'd made his day...awww...was really sweet.

hellsbelles · 12/01/2011 14:12

Looby ? worth the wait ? what a beautiful family you are. Sorry though that DD is feeling so rotten

Welcome Sophable ? love both your buys.

Carciofi ? love the crumpet scarf?and very Envy though cannot justify another pink scarf.

HF ? that nappyvalley link looks very interesting ? I can?t wait to get rid of all the baby clutter once DD is just a bit older.

Oooh ? Shock at cleaner!!!

Esher/Tracey ? can you wear your matching gilets to the meet up Grin?

Esher swimming sounds like hell?hope the retail therapy calmed your nerves? Do you ever go to Coram fields after your visits to the hospital? DS does his school sports there and we used to go all the time when he was little.

Roman Shock at DS2!! How did his arm enter into the equation?!!

DT ? poor DS2 ? please don?t make yourself feel bad ? sounds like DH was on the case so he was in good hands.

ABO ? I love my olive skinnies ? size wise 10-12 would probably be 27 or 28 (28 in jbrands)

Tracey ? loving Verity?s ambition for you?and we can all help Grin

Apuski and Roary? hope you day is better today ? it is so awful the way some people view maternity leave. But to be honest until I had DS I really had NO IDEA what it was actually like?and did imagine it to be vastly easier than it actually is.

Pickled ? has the ammonia smell worn off yet? The crates look fab!

Fritzi ? that?s rubbish about the order being so messed up?is the jacket good for you?

Bunny- goodness that sounds premature about the operation?is there no way they will go back naturally? And yes ? the clothes in that film are totally wonderful

Tracey - Grin at ditching the pta for LV

LTEC ? bad bad DH. I hope he made amends. I love those jeans but none in my size. And your ?up with the lark? plan sounds interesting?though, and forgive me if I?m wrong?you seem very much a night girl (that sounds dodgy ? I don?t mean it to!)?so much energy and I really do think people?s body clocks work in a certain way. But I?m probably completely wrong.

Three cheers for baby bloss ? and so glad the jacket is fab!

I have a jeans dilemma ? I?m keen on these coh flares but these MIH are very flattering (pic is awful I know). Decisions, decisions.

hellsbelles · 12/01/2011 14:14

oh for goodness sake - that was way too long. Sorry. LTEC - ignore comments on operation Lark as I see you have decided already.

DolceeBanana · 12/01/2011 14:16

Cake - I know only too well the feeling of wanting parents involvement but the reality being that more involvement often leads to frustration and irritation.

blossoming · 12/01/2011 14:18

hells I really liked the way my new jacket looked with my ancient indigo flares (which are sadly way too big and are being sold this week fingers x'ed). I think from the photos I prefer the Citizens ones, the others are even higher rise, no?
However, on the subject of flares, I was disappointed to see the styling of these jbrands on NAP. The spindly heel? A bit dated don't you think?

Thank you all, lovely, lovely ladies.

traceybath · 12/01/2011 14:21

Hells - if the MIH are more flattering then I'd go for them.

I'm wearing some higher-rise skinnies from gap today and I love the way they hold in my tummy [attractive] Wink

LTEC - I am naturally a lark and find I get way more accomplished in the first few hours of the day so for me it would work I think.

ApuskiDusky · 12/01/2011 14:24

Bugger. Didn't get the job.

I am now in something of a dilemma. I think there could be a grievance case here, as they have given it to an external despite me being on redundancy notice and on mat leave. But i don't know if that position is undermined by the likelihood of them offering me a different role, which would be a demotion but with protected terms (which I don't want). And I'm not sure I want to risk creating bad feeling.

What to do.

DolceeBanana · 12/01/2011 14:25

I used to be an Owl, now a Lark (that's what having 3 under 3 at one point did for me!)...all good though. Manage to accomplish most before school run, the come back for quick breakfast and coffee before running errands/chores/coffees etc!

I am in love dream tux

OllieWollieWoo · 12/01/2011 14:25

I posted this on the other new thread - not that its worth posting or reading twice but I do like continuity Smile

Bloss - love, love, love you in that jacket! Scarf suits you perfectly too. Agree with what Tracey said re how different you look since a year ago - great inspiration for me and my health kick!
MadamC - thats great advice from your Mum re what your son or daughter will remember. My Mum was and still is one for getting chores done and is horrified if I leave them in favour of doing stuff with the boys - hence her infrequent visits over here!
Loobylou - lovely family pics - your kids are adorable. I can't walk in heels either and there are v limited pics of me for the same reasons as you (plus DH nevers uses the camera). I have a lovely professional pic (for work) of DH I might display - without him knowing of course! Nice to see Mr W&A's?
Carsiofi - I love your bed - would really fit in with our bedroom (v high ceilings, LA wallpaper, fireplace etc) but then we would need to change the wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside tables too.....! Sofas sound lovely.

Recent de-lurkers - I am always intrigued re how people come up with their MN name - care to share? (I need to change mine - used to call DS2 OWW when he was a baby - now sounds just wrong!)

I am having such a lazy week - done nothing but the odd load of washing and MNíng! I hate January.
DS2 at a b-day party which apparently is ending at Mcdonalds before being dropped home - I'm expecting tears before bedtime then

MarshaBrady · 12/01/2011 14:26

Bloss love the jacket! You look excellent!

Pickled you are absolutely right, Grin need to do a proper try on session later.

I also found out that a G financier asked for my details after that party last year Blush Blush. It could have been the champagne but I suspect know it was the excellent flattering lighting. More effective than Harley St Wink.

Ltec I love working when everyone is asleep as it is so quiet but everyone is very different I think.

DolceeBanana · 12/01/2011 14:27

Mmm Apuski-sorry about job ...I used to be in hr...think you should ask for written reasons why you were unsuccessful, or at least more information.

OP posts:
pickledsiblings · 12/01/2011 14:32

Bloss, flares and spindlier heel, courtesy of The Sartorialist. I think it works. However, with those legs and that bottom, anything would work.

blossoming · 12/01/2011 14:36

Wise words dolcee. I'm really sorry you didn't get the job apuski.
ollie, I wish I had a cooler name too!!
carciofi, raspberry sofas, yum! My favourite colour!

This is on my wishlist...to wear with breton and straight indigo jeans www.net-a-porter.com/product/97137

DolceeBanana · 12/01/2011 14:46

Oh, wearing my new Swatch! Black. On account of taking my beloved watch to Jewellers for new battery...well...I hope just a new battery (£70 if so)..Rather better than the prospective £300 fee for a 'service', if they deem that necessary

I love raspberry too...have injections of the colour raspberry throughout the house (raspberry ticking cushions, blinds etc.)...and prefer it in the girls rooms to any sugary pink

FritziGreenEyes · 12/01/2011 14:50

blossoming You look great in that jacket and really happy Smile.

macmama · 12/01/2011 14:50

bloss and dolcee thank you both.

Lovely coat bloss you look gorgeous! Well done to your DD walking ? late walking means she will be far more sensible and mentally equipped than her peers who might have started a bit younger ? trust me DD2 (walking at 9 months) has been a bit of a nightmare with it all ? all ability and no sense!!! Lots of bruises as a result of her being in such a hurry. In a years time they will all be the same whenever they started.

looby would love to see your photos

bunny why would doctor say that? Its funny you mention it but I was just noticing last night that I still have 2 finger separation between muscles almost a year after birth it definitely makes my stomach protrude in a way I am not fond of, not sure I can do anything about it. For me it was because I had HUGE bump in both pregnancies (photo of me at 36 wks with DD2 on FB) I also get some pelvic pain which I really need to get checked out (pushing out a large baby I think). Nobody has mentioned surgery to me would like to hear what your doctor is on about. Ps LOVE the Audrey Tatou film ? will watch properly when at home but how stunning!

LTEC good luck with it all hope your day is going better.

marsha how is your little DS ? are you still feeding at night?

everything i think you are doing amazingly well and wish you the best of luck.

hellsbelles · 12/01/2011 14:52

gosh - what a coincidence Pickled. That is EXACTLY what my bottom looks like in the MIH jeans Wink

pickledsiblings · 12/01/2011 14:52

You're right everything, it was Italian.

Apuski, sorry about the job.

OWW, I love your name.

My name came from one of DD's stories Hmm and yes, there were illustrations.
