Ooh, can I be cheeky and ask to see all your photos. I'd love to see what you all look like Grin!

MilliONaire · 18/01/2011 22:24

Evening girls!
Oh redliquorice, that's MY necklace - the one I am dreaming of getting for my birthday in 3 weeks - we can all have one, that would be great!!!

Hells, so sorry to hear about your loss, hope you are ok this evening.

Sounds like there was a mini meet up today? That must have been fun?

I bought a lovely silk Jesire dress today reduced from £279 to £80 - bargain! It is 100% mulberry silk (whatever that is!!)can't find a link of it, but I love it!!!

I am soooooooooooooo wanting one of those alex monroe necklaces Envy

Redliquorice · 18/01/2011 22:31

MillioNaire Look here....

Ebay Alex Monroe

Fleecy · 18/01/2011 22:32

Evening all, I have finally got an iphone (yes, I know, it's 2011) and I'd like one of these beauties but am not willing to spend my Feb allowance on a phone sleeve!

So where can I find nice phone sleeves in fab colours that are not too £££? Thank you all!

plum I can see you in that dress. Do you mind if I ask how old you were when you got married? You look so very youthful in your FB pics!

Speaking of which, ny you dark horse, having a Hollywood-style starter marriage before your DH Grin

Glad the mini meet up was a success. Am very jealous of those who got to meet the twins.

MilliONaire · 18/01/2011 22:33

Oh that is gorgeous redliquorice!! I am torn between the owl one you linked originally and a similar one with a regular bird - I LOVE them!! DH is getting me one for my birthday - woohoo!!!

hf128219 · 18/01/2011 22:38

Fleecy try here

mrsjuan · 18/01/2011 22:45

Milli - so excited for you and your owl necklace!- lots of Alex Monroe fans on here. I got the bee for Christmas and everyone who has seen it has said how pretty it is Grin I want the little butterfly now.

NY / libra if you're lurking / anyone else in the know. Can we talk body fat % (nice Wink) Had mine measured at the gym today and it is either reasonably good or very bad depending on which google search I go with. What would you class as a good %?

notyummy · 18/01/2011 23:05

Mrsj- Depends a lot on your age. You are allowed/ supposed to have a bit more the older you get- must the whole face/arse thing! I read something really scary the other day, which basically said if you overdiet past the age if about35 and your face gets bit haggard, then it's game over. It will never get any better because even if you gain weight to a more sensible level, you have knackered your skin. Only route is surgery.

Anyway, sorry I digress. Up until late 30s I think roughly 20% to 24% is considered 'lean' (ie good and fit), 25% to around 32% is acceptable, and then over that is basically too much, to varying degrees. Below 20% down to about 14% is considered athletic ie Paula Radliffe etc!

notyummy · 18/01/2011 23:09

I have question of my own for the cake makers. If dd and i make fairy cakes tomorrow evening, will they be fresh enough still to take into school for school fair on Friday morning?? Have time tomorrow to bake and much less on Thursday.

And thanks for the comments Looby. She loves her Breton top!

ReineDeSaba · 18/01/2011 23:14

ny I think I read the same article.was it easy living?

fairy cakes could be frozen then defrost fri. a.m if unsure whether will stay fresh?

thanks for venue confirmation b.t.w

ReineDeSaba · 18/01/2011 23:18

ny I love trashy american tv the best..whenever we are there(generally twice a year)I end up spending at least a couple of days of back to back crappola(this tine it was 'thintervention' ..what a great title, huh)instead of 'going outside and getting some fresh air' Blush

LetThemEatCake · 19/01/2011 00:32

Argh so typical. Dh goes away, so of course internet connection vanishes, service provider says fault in area. So o spend the evening writing on word doc on iMac whilst squinting at internet references on iPhone. Then my tinker of a baby decides to break the habit of months by waking and howling, inconsolable. He is now snuggled up in bed with me and I don't even think I put the dishwasher on. Operation Lark is off tomorrow, I've done enough!

macmama · 19/01/2011 05:16

Hi all marking my place.

Ny glad you think jeans will get worn but yes they are no way a true UK size 8! THink you look sexy in the dress don't be paranoid vavavoom is a good thing and you are tiny for your height.

I am a lark again this morning have been up for an hour already have already had to feed DD2 back to sleep once too. Problem for me with this lark thing is that I get very tired in the afternoons - yesterday I am sooo close to falling asleep in a meeting!

Zembo · 19/01/2011 05:46

Morning Macmama! I've been up for half an hour too, but fairly normal for me Smile.

NY shocking re: the overdieting and facial skin thing - another VERY good reason for me not to go there EVER! Also, I don't usually make fairy cakes more than about a day ahead, but as Reine says you could make and freeze (before icing).

Fleecy congrats on iphone. I don't have a proper case for mine, just a 'skin' type thing around the back. Intentional as I feel I need instant access.

macmama · 19/01/2011 05:54

re fairy cakes I would make and cover tightly then keep somewhere dark at room temperatures - fridge is death to bakery (what a friend of mine who was a professional baker used to tell me).

AGree re risk to face getting haggard one of the reasons I don't want to lose any more weight and couldn't give a shit about any wobbling I think my face looks older than it did already TBH and my thighs are as thin as they ever need to be IMO. Losing anymore is pointless as its not going to fix the damage babies have done to my stomach.

macmama · 19/01/2011 05:55

So what time do you go to bed usually Zembo - thats where I fall down in this plan I think - just too much to do before bedtime, its very hard to get to bed before 11pm.

Zembo · 19/01/2011 06:04

I'm usually in bed by 10.30pm Macmama but my kids go to bed at 7pm so I get a chance to get a few things done in the evening. I remember you saying yours go to bed much later. I just love the early morning peace and quiet!

Zembo · 19/01/2011 06:07

Also Mac v sensible attitude towards the whole dieting thing. I'm pretty anti-diet, much prefer sensible eating + exercise to maintain half decent figure.

macmama · 19/01/2011 06:25

My kids do go to bed late - between 8pm and 9pm - but its because I get home from work at 6pm a vicious circle!

mrsjuan · 19/01/2011 06:28

Thanks ny, i'm ok then a couple of percent off lean. Come on shred! That's quite scary about the face thing but don't think I'm in any danger of over dieting Grin

Mac and zembo- good morning!

Cake- sorry operation lark got cancelled for this morning- p decided to wake at 6 after having t be woken at half 7 for the past week but is happily watching Cheshire in bed with dh.

You sound like you're having a bit of a tough time at the moment- just think, this time next year you will be sitting outside in the sun Envy

mrsjuan · 19/01/2011 06:29

Cbeebies of course, not Cheshire! I love autocorrect.

MarshaBrady · 19/01/2011 06:40

Morning early risers. Marking spot.

blossoming · 19/01/2011 06:50

Dh on his way to Greenwich for a 2 hr meeting. Has left at 6 and will be back 7. One of the things he'll give up if I get a job. I am almost ready to fetch dd, just straightening left to do. Both DS and me feeling a bit insecure when we're on our own like this.

PlumSykes · 19/01/2011 07:10

Ah, Fleecy, you've very kind to me. I was 28 when we got married (am now 33), so not so very young, but the day after our first anniversary I had DD, so have aged considerably since then!

PlumSykes · 19/01/2011 07:10

you're, not you've!
