hellsbelles · 12/01/2011 14:53

Yes to Corolle dolls. Both DDs got age appropriate dolls from my mother for Xmas (inspired by W&A girls). They are beautiful.

roary · 12/01/2011 14:58

ALl you raspberry lovers will be amused to hear that I went to Mothercare this morning (hell, hell, I hate it) to get DS a travel cot, we are going to put him in there with a regular mattress for a while until we know more about where we are living and then we will do a cotbed/bed juggle with DD. (He is in an Amby Hammock, which we have loved, but he is far too big). Anyway got a v wise bargain at 50% off on a cot that I thought would be brown with pink trim. Thought I had to put my money where my mouth (frequently) is on the subject of non gendered colours, and it was a bargain.

It is raspberry with hot pink trim. DH, while an enlightened kind of guy, has Issues with Pink for Boys. Fortunately he also likes a bargain and can see the funny side.

IT IS SO PINK. I am still giggling. My MIL, who had an argument with me at Xmas (well, words, maybe) about letting DD Be a Girl (ie, wear pink tutus every day, in which she is not interested)) will choke. Honestly, it is exactly what she thinks I would do on purpose due to my silly feminist ideas. (I must add to give you a sense of the crazy, should it not be apparent, that DD wears dresses all the time, just very few of them are pink). I ascribe to Bunny's theory of No and No in relation to pink and purple until she can demand it!!

Bloss seriously gorgeous and colours are perfect on you.

LTEC am married to a lark, have 2 kids and I am a total owl. Cannot retrain. Wish I could because my most productive time is 4-8pm. Ha ha hahahaha!! Good thinking on the kids front with that one.

Romanholiday · 12/01/2011 15:35

Cake I'd be ok working at 4am, but would never see dh and prob get divorced, so think through the issues!

macmama · 12/01/2011 15:39

I'm more naturally an owl but can also do lark hours when needed.

Have often been known to get up at 4am to get some work done - it many ways am much more productive then than at night when I am more tired. However its very hard with DD2 as she often wakes if I get up (sharing my bed Blush)

Dh more of a lark when he is busy he likes to get up super early and be at his studio around 6am...!

Heathcliffscathy · 12/01/2011 15:56

Thanks for welcoming me everyone...

I have a dilemma:

due to post babyfication (and greed) I have bit of a jelly belly. So the tops that suit at the moment are straight down (narrow shoulders, big norks 30G normally 32G atm). I'm living in some uniqlo sweatshirts that I bought when I was pregnant as the colours are great (I'm a winter and they are very bright blue and green and a grey) but I'm getting sick of them. I have NO tops other that that that I'm wearing at the moment. I need the same kind of sweatshirt shape but something a bit nicer than a bog standard sweatshirt?

Or another idea for top...I've always been rubbish at them because of the big norks. I don't know if it's my small frame but the 'wrap over'/v plunge just doesn't work at all on me. I can wear a high neck very happily vis this dress looks great on me (grrr at buying it full price though it was for a big event).

Should i go a smocky route (makes me feel pregnant again).

my every day look is sweatshirt with long vest underneath in contrasting colour and then skinny jeans/jeggings with biker boots.

boooring.

notyummy · 18/01/2011 18:31

Thanks for kind comments on the dress. I wasn't sure if it emphasised the size of my hips too much. For my height I have a small waist, but I sometimes think that close fitting dresses show off the contrast too much with larger hips. DH (bless) always says that's the best bit but am still paranoid!

blossoming · 18/01/2011 18:34

Yes notyummy, very sexy waist to hip ratio Envy.

Bonsoir · 18/01/2011 18:40

For those of you with small-ish (5+) DDs... I found this toy dress shop for my DD today and she is totally enamoured of it! I bought it because I was fed up to the back teeth of using her toy cash register for a DVD shop and saw this paper clothes shop and thought it might ring the changes. It is a gorgeous toy and DD has been busy labelling dresses with prices all evening and thanking me profusely Smile

PlumSykes · 18/01/2011 18:49

X marks my place!

AntPants1 · 18/01/2011 19:00

roary I'd wear black shoe boots and black opaque tights with the j crew dress. x

LTEC Super skirt!

FritziGreenEyes · 18/01/2011 19:15

hells I'm so sorry Sad...

notyummy You look great in that dress despite the slightly blurry image!

So many great bargains at BR! Will have to pay huge bill for car repair as some major electrical part is broken, so I will resist and just fill a virtual basket.

KILDARE4 · 18/01/2011 19:18

Sorry.... buts what's BR??

hf128219 · 18/01/2011 19:22

Banana Republic? I guess!

FritziGreenEyes · 18/01/2011 19:27

Sorry, Banana Republic. Was typing one-handed.

KILDARE4 · 18/01/2011 19:28

Ah hah! don't I feel very unwise!

FritziGreenEyes · 18/01/2011 19:29

No, no Kildare! Not you being unwise, just me being lazy Smile.
