working in primark is great turq i will ring you i promise, i just keep forgetting, actually I have felt like crap the last two days and have turned into a hermit. i am not suprised you got more done when the computer broke, i would be the same. how are things with you?

turquoise · 13/09/2005 22:51

Hehe can I have a discount?
Let's have a coffee soon before I start college and lose the few marbles I've got left (definitely bitten off more than I can chew I think!)

turquoise · 13/09/2005 22:54

Are you feeling better now?

Fio2 · 13/09/2005 22:59

yes sort of, i am just lacking any sort of motivation! When do you start college then?

turquoise · 13/09/2005 23:04

October 13th I think - stuff keeps arriving for modules I don't remember signing up for so it might be earlier but I hope to God not! There's a reading list of about 90 books, all the sort where you need to read each sentence 12 times before it makes sense. It's not looking good!

Fio2 · 13/09/2005 23:05

and !!

i am sure it will be fine when you start

Passionflower · 13/09/2005 23:53

This so is a wind up thread to flush out the Boden mums!

No primark, H&M, Asda or other where I live so can I be excused pleasssse

aloha · 13/09/2005 23:57

Primark is scary but I've spent the summer in a dozen Primark white cotton t's that are so cheap they are practically disposable - great when weaning. And ds looks lovely in his white cotton pique shirts at about £3 for two, and exactly the same as the ones in Rachel Riley. Bought dd (big dd) a beautiful embroidered tiered skirt which she looks ravishing in. I also bought myself a nice wrap dress that will be good if I ever stop breastfeeding.
You do have to be careful and it is not a nice experience, I agree.

myturn · 14/09/2005 00:00

Primark?? Is Ay Ok in my opinion.

Cheap clothes - are fab as my dds are only going to wear them about 3 times max, so who cares if they fall apart after 4 washes.

Queues are awful, but if you can go midweek that is not a problem.

I have converted my Designer Only friend to Primark - she did not know it existed and is now going about wearing outfits at a fraction of the price (ok, with a few up-market items incorporated). Fashion is all about fleecing the consumer - wise up and get the bargains people!

JonesTheSteam · 14/09/2005 09:27

sallystrawberry - yes I mean the TK MAXX in Talbot Green - excellent and always pretty quiet.

I too wish they would open a H&M out of town somewhere!!!

Whereabouts do you live?

myturn - Even midweek Cardiff Primark is horrendous - very long queues - and definately not the place to be with a pushchair.

Had to queue on a Wed pm recently to buy my sil a bra - and queued for about 25 minutes - and every queue was the same!!!

peckarollover · 16/09/2005 17:57

I love primark your obviously not looking properly.

For plain vests to create layering you cant go wrong at £2 a go! Get 2 in every colour for the price of a couple of topshop ones.

I couldnt live without vests

Under v necks, 2 at once, under shrugs, under cardigans, tank tops

there is nothing wrong with H&M asda or tesco either!

Fio2 · 16/09/2005 18:00

2 at once, becca what are you? i would be forever fidgeting

peckarollover · 16/09/2005 18:01

I dont much like tesco clothes always slightly on the frumpy side - feel like they just miss the boat but nearly get there

Asda I like - had a couple of nice htings from there - especially more recently they have a nice tweed waistcoat in at the moment and some lush black flats.

H and M - thumbs up - especially for maternity, kids and basic stuff

primark's good if you look well but must agree the stuff on the floor is shocking! Why only there?

We're getting a huge on in our shopping centre as they've bought littlewoods apparently?

peckarollover · 16/09/2005 18:03

Yes two at once hehe Does that make me a adultering vest user? I like the layering effect My record is about 3 at once I think - white underneath then a couple of colours over the top and matching jewellry of all colours

I must be weird

peckarollover · 16/09/2005 18:03

you not liking waistcoats either cod?

Primark OK for basics but Matalan & Next clearance shops great quality for same money.
Ours had a sale on the other day and every suit was 15 quid, dresses were 8 and shoes 3!!! Yes I spent a (small) fortune

Fio2 · 16/09/2005 18:05

do you not fidget with them missus? does there have to be an inch showing of each or something

Ulysees · 16/09/2005 18:05

meant if you look through the clothes well, not if you look well pmsl
