Ok I'm going to start with these, seen from a distance in London but I actually quite like them

The Bertie ones chocfroggie linked to were in the shops last year, but I only came across them in a tan colour so I bought some Flys - then saw the Berties in a lovely dark brown.

The Flys make me feel like a galumphing idiot and they leak < gnash >.

Which Flys leak WhatsWrongWithYou? Not the Orode's, I like them.

collision those La Redoute fellas are pretty. However, 'synthetic' suedette? Surely suedette is synthetic enough. I love boots. I love the search for the perfect boots so much I don't want to ever find them in some ways...

I got the £40 bargain shearling boots from Amazon today and they are fab. I'm not sure how well they would stand up to a good drenching, but they will be great to keep my toes cosy over the Winter and for carefully planned not-too-rural outings.

These also look good for wearing witth navy leggings. On the one hand they are a) cute and b) cheap. On the other hand a) they are not leather b) they would be my 3rd pair of boots so far this season c) I would quite like to go on looking at boots sodon't wnt to close off my options...

I also really like these which are advertised in Vogue. It is prob just as well that I can't find them on the Aldo website.

Went in New Look today and they had the brown biker boots I linked to below in my size, so bought them, v happy :)

No Dukes it wasn't the Orodes - they had the same sole as the Mols but with a wide stretch panel down the sde and a bigger, round buckle.

Anyone like these matalan ones?

I am wearing my new Orodes! Ordered from Coggles yesterday. Arrived at 7.30 today. Chunky and yet elegant. Love them.

Don't know whether I'll get them as I've already got the KG ones, plus I stupidly bought some Flys which feel like I've got tyres on my feet and leak, but I probably should Get The Wear Out Of Them.

I really want them WWWY only thing is I'm in a quandry about calf width. I would fit the regular size (as measured today with bare legs) but not sure this would leave any room for jeans, plus my calves may get a little bigger over the winter season ... but then you've got to factor in "give" haven't you, them being leather and all.

You don't rate Flys then WWWY? there is often much praise on here for them

Sounds like you could do with 'real' lace-ups then, rather than the ones with the zip - although they'd take ages to put on and take off!

I know lots of people rave about Flys, I just found them rather disappointing. I knew the soles were ugly but bought them because I live in the country and thought they'd be practical for days when I walk to school.

I don't find them very comfy, though - the sole is too stiff, and the leather is kind of stiff but porous (and marks easily).
