Ok I'm going to start with these, seen from a distance in London but I actually quite like them

Come on Corny, Su et all

ANY ONE INTERESTED IN BOOTS

OP posts:
chocolatefroggie · 18/08/2010 11:53

that's what I thought, about tucking in, I love those boots

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 18/08/2010 15:41

Ha ha Cyb - yes that's the look I'm trying to channel for work. Bought this today and thought of you.

Those boots are nice chocolatefroggie - they would look gorgeous with that new midi skirt trend.

BelligerentGhoul · 18/08/2010 15:48

SouthEastAstra - I remember the lovely ones with a red zip down the back because it's me who linked to them! I was called Janeite then though. They were Steve Maddens and remain the most beautiful boots I have ever seen - but way out of my price range, sadly. I never did buy any new brown boots because nothing else came close to them.

Love Victorian/Edwardian style button boots - quite fancy trying the whole vaguely goth/governess look again!

BelligerentGhoul · 18/08/2010 15:49

Gorgeous dress, Porridge.

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 18/08/2010 15:56

Thanks BG - I remember your boots! They were lustworthy.

cyb · 18/08/2010 17:58

nice dress porridge, when will you wear?

employmentlawquery · 18/08/2010 18:11

Is it very bad that I rather like these? They look very cosy and they are a bargain, and they do the shearling thing? Or should I just step away from the granny boots?

I am old enough to remember pixie boots the first time round, so I am really old enough to know better.

I liked the grey/mole Boden winter preview boots too, but only with the sheepskin cuffs down. I would like some boots with a sheepskin collar, but on reflection, maybe some sort of a heel would be an advantage.

Tried on these in New Look today, very comfy, also had them in brown (can't find them on website for some reason) which I prefered but they didn't have them in my size. Sizing was huge btw -- 6 was like wearing wellies so had to downsize to 5, unheard of for me!

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 18/08/2010 20:09

Got a couple of evening thingies coming up but thought it could be layered with opaques and boots.

cyb · 18/08/2010 20:11

employment law I actually quite like the sheepskin ones from Amazon, but do you wear those sort of 'Toast' clothes they go with? Sort of gauche and sloppy bohemian?

employmentlawquery · 18/08/2010 21:57

Thanks, you have been enabling Grin.

I veer between smart professional and rather scruffy rural mum. They are intended for the somewhat hippie-ish mum role. And might also keep my feet warm in the car on the way to work, possibly.

MrsJamin · 19/08/2010 11:42

Great boots thread :) Does anyone know of high St stores that have wider calves? Don't think I can justify more than £70 as am
Sahm. Looking for some I could wear under bootcut jeans but also with leggings or skirts.

squeaver · 19/08/2010 11:50

Oh Cyb's boots thread!!! I'm SO happy!

WhatsWrongWithYou · 19/08/2010 15:33

Sheepskin wedges anyone?

WhatsWrongWithYou · 19/08/2010 15:36

Try again.

Biscuitbreaker · 19/08/2010 15:45

I need boots. Being pregnant, this is probably the only autumn fashion I can get at!

I'd like some knee boots that lace all the way up. I like a victorian look...

But I can't find any.

Anyone help me?

WhatsWrongWithYou · 19/08/2010 17:32

La Redoute.

WhatsWrongWithYou · 19/08/2010 17:49

As per previous link.

cyb · 19/08/2010 18:05

Hi squeaver! HAppy to oblige!

My ASOS boots came, they were HUGE! I am harbouring suspicions my feet might have shrunk..the last 2 pairs of size 8 shoes I have tried on have been massive. or perhaps its the old 'everything is getting larger' syndrome

Decorhate · 19/08/2010 18:50

Went to look at the KG boots that Millie linked to today.... What's not apparent in the photo is that the foot section is leather but the leg section is ugg-like material.

Which has put me off (though the price is offputting anyway...)

Biscuitbreaker · 19/08/2010 19:07

Whatswrongwithyou - thanks. Like the second ones best...

chocolatefroggie · 19/08/2010 19:12

biscuit my friend has these they're absolutely gorgeous

collision · 19/08/2010 20:48
