cyb · 16/08/2010 20:18

Honestly they are hardly cold and you're jumping in them already Grin

KristinaM · 16/08/2010 20:30
Grin

i know you speak the truth but its still hard..............Sad

noddyholder · 16/08/2010 20:38

You could wear those with a black knitted dress and tights aswell. Also slouchy tweed trousers I like them.get a pair of skinny black cords from american apparel like a corset!I am busty but wear skinnies

MegBusset · 16/08/2010 20:56

So what is best boot length to wear if you're a shortie (5ft not much)? Legs not in too bad a state but calves could never be described as skinny. To go with skinnies or short skirts/tights...

traceybath · 16/08/2010 21:04

Meg - I think mid-calf generally.

Or if knee-high - they need to finish a good inch or so under your knee or its just too principal-boy.

But I'm not a fan of heeled knee-highs with skinnies tucked in any more - its a bit liz macdonald Grin

RedBlueRed · 16/08/2010 21:18

What about these. Anyone seen anything similar but less overbaked?

I like the basic shape but am not sure about sooo many buckles. Also when I see furry lined boots, I just can't shake the image of Pat Butcher...

Millie1 · 16/08/2010 21:26

Oh brilliant - a boots thread! Grin

What does anyone think of these KG boots

Saw them today in HoF and quite fancy them (didn't try on). What would you wear them with - skinnies tucked in/leggings/suitable/casual skirt and tights?

Any views? Thx

cyb · 16/08/2010 21:28

Millie I like those. £££ though! I would wear with anyhting really, would look nice with tights and sloppy jumper dress

Millie1 · 16/08/2010 21:36

Yep, I know they would be 'an investment'! I'd one of those window-shopping days today (rare in my life!) where I just spotted on expensive thing after another ... now I've come back to home and reality just to drool and dream Grin! Re the boots - told myself they'd 'only' be around £40 more exp than a Duo pair Hmm

RedBlueRed · 16/08/2010 21:55

Perhaps these instead. Don't really like the scuffing though.

corns1lk · 16/08/2010 23:06

like Millie's- they look cosy. Also like Cain's. Defo want kinky Nancy boots now.

QueuePosition3 · 17/08/2010 03:42

I don't like the lacesxones with a heel.
Like millies but agree £££

traceybath · 17/08/2010 06:46

I like Millies and you're right they are only a bit more than a duo pair.

Decorhate · 17/08/2010 07:27

Millies are my favourite so far too but really don't want to spend that much (though there is a KG shop near me so may take a look anyway)

teta · 17/08/2010 08:04

Meg B. i am 5ft3 and have normal-sized legs but calf-length look dreadful on me - just accentuate my slightly baby-shaped legs!.Over the knee ones are really flattering.I bought a pair of 'truffle' colour ones from Duo in the sale and have worn them with everything.I like Duo as the boots fit well and are mainly classic designs[i am not a fan of biker boots anyway].However i do think they are expensive so only buy in the sale. The worse shape for me are any boots that do not go right up to my knees. The high knee/rather than calf-length work better tbw.

HowsTheSerenity · 17/08/2010 10:29

Can anyone here think of a brand of shoes sold in Germany that starts with the letter T?

I tried on a pair of blue ankle boots that were fabulous now I cant remember the name of it.

It was quite a long word. Something Tiss etc???

noddyholder · 17/08/2010 14:13

Queue once you have heeled with laces on you change your mind! They give all your old clothes a different look and most look good with skinny legs and tights so I would have thought you'd like them

Millie1 · 17/08/2010 14:54

I've been dreaming about them Hmm - doesn't bode well for the bank account! Next step ... start another thread re dresses/tunics; then get myself back to HoF!

Oh, and inbetween times go through all the links above to look for a pair of heeled ankle boots to wear with too-long-for-flats, jeans. Grin

QueuePosition3 · 17/08/2010 15:46

Nod I have some suede brogue a like heels from ages ago. Will tru

isthatporridgeinyourhair · 17/08/2010 16:11

Bought these today for work in grey. Am breaking myself back into high heels gently after mat leave. Wink

cyb · 18/08/2010 09:07

porridge those are nice in grey. A little Miss Whiplash!

FritziGreenEyes · 18/08/2010 10:30

HowsTheSerenity - Tamaris maybe?

chocolatefroggie · 18/08/2010 11:10

I bought these last year, took the laces out and they are very comfortable but are they still ok and what would I wear them with?

I love those urban outfitter boots but I have horribly wide feet

cyb · 18/08/2010 11:32

tights dresses,I woudl say. I think the jeans tucked into long boots has had its day
