don't like flys or timberlands at all Am prob wrong side of 40!

cyb · 16/08/2010 15:46

I dont like Flys either. They are like Blakes 7 boots

cyb · 16/08/2010 15:47

Nodders I'd love to have a poke through your wardrobe, i bet you've got some lovely stuff

QueuePosition3 · 16/08/2010 15:51

i dont liek flys

am back from pub.
i dont like shoes that turn up at the end liek some boots do

Decorhate · 16/08/2010 16:22

Agree about the turning up at the end thing...

Also don't like anything that looks like I might have worn it as a teenager or worse, that my teachers might have back then (hence my aversion to shoe boots!)

Also not keen on wedges or spindly heels. I didn't but any last year so really need some new ones this year and am determined to buy early while there is still a good choice...

noddyholder · 16/08/2010 16:33

Have had a huge clear out today as has ds as we are off to london 4 sept for night in hotel and shopping.Big bag for oxfam have kept all my faves though.Have many shoes and no clothes left!Kept all jeans and knitwear and coats.Dp is spending the day at a drum show and says we are to go to uniqlo and nowhere else Grin.Ds has turned into a real fashion fiend

noddyholder · 16/08/2010 16:36

Why are you in the pub?

cyb · 16/08/2010 17:02

nodders you are always chucking stuff out. Hows about an MN bring and buy sale

noddyholder · 16/08/2010 17:19

Ha ha!I don't hang on to stuff that is worn out like h and m etc.I get v dirty doing up houses and have a lot a 'rags'.Am going to try and buy sensibly as have a bag of tat tbh but it did cost a fair bit and it seems a waste.I do like a clear out though and swap with a friend every few months.Am going to start using my mums kingston flat more so will track you down this winter Grin

cyb · 16/08/2010 17:22

Ooh yes please! How exciting! (and daunting)

noddyholder · 16/08/2010 17:24

God not daunting at all I am v dull irl!

cyb · 16/08/2010 17:38

noddyholder · 16/08/2010 17:44

Diet gone to pot and v busy on v stressful house and drinking so much costas!

traceybath · 16/08/2010 17:45

OK - what do we think of duo ones

cyb · 16/08/2010 17:48

Hmm, they are almost right...heel maybe too high. Can't be doing with all the measuring and fannying around required for Duo

noddyholder · 16/08/2010 17:50

Oh no don't like the heel at all They look like the kind people wear with too short bootcut m and s jeans

traceybath · 16/08/2010 18:18

Oh no - would wear with skinnies tucked in.

Do feel thats generally the problem with duo though - they're not exactly fashion forward.

However being munchkin-like I do require a bit of a heel - couple of inches really and also want mid-calf.

QueuePosition3 · 16/08/2010 18:34

tracey i agree heel issue
duo ones v nice lookign in rl though
the fit makes a diff

KristinaM · 16/08/2010 18:52

i have military boots similar to these which i hardly wore last year, because I dont know what to wear with them

i dont do skinny jeans / trousers as I'm top heavy - makes me look like a lollipop

please advise oh boot experts Smile

QueuePosition3 · 16/08/2010 18:55

that is why boots aint working for you i think
those to be worn with slightly rolled up skinnoids imo

KristinaM · 16/08/2010 19:07

is there nothing else? I#m not prepared to get a boob job to get wear out of boots Grin

they are lovely soft leather and have a furry lining [sob]

cyb · 16/08/2010 19:17

Kris ebay them. They won't work with any other type of trouser

Or tights and dresses really, unless you're going for the whole 1940's war widow look
