Would a camel cape be entirely wise? Or a pair of houlihans a bit too avid?? Who cares!

OWW thanks, will check out what summer means. Looking at ds2 I can see he best suits cool greys, cream and blues and olive too.

Stunning Tibi dress!

MarshaBrady · 06/08/2010 09:23

(Although I wear a wide range of colours, and love bright block colours eg soft grey Theory cardigan with bright yellow cuffs and trim)

hellsbelles · 06/08/2010 09:42

Cake- divine dress. You will look completely beautiful.

another lush here I'm afraid.

OWW - that was a very impressive celeb spot!

Everything...I agree that double breasted aren't good if you have a bust. I have to steer clear of them (although my bust is disappearing at an alarming rate right now Hmm)

I'm finally debuting my sale breton with denim mini. Finally a breton (apart from my temperley dress which I adore) that suits me.

Off to check out style rules thread

MarshaBrady · 06/08/2010 09:55

Hells did the Wang skirt arrive?(I'm thinking it may have and you're not keen..)

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 06/08/2010 10:02

Sorry for the quick drop in, have evening to myself so will catch up properly then but whoever was looking at the Michael Kors bag on Outnet they now have an extra 40% off.

notyummy · 06/08/2010 10:20

Not got time to look back - who was it that ordered some suede wedges from ASOS and sent back??

Just seen some that look exactly the same - Gap ones. £39.50. Don't know what colours they are in. Ones shown n Marie Claire were grey.

Bye again!

Oh I love that dress Cake! Adore strapless dresses like that and the colours are my kind of colours!

'Fraid I have lush like tendencies too....only curtailed by my inability to drink any more than 1 glass without a headache the next day (wuss), and the worry about those empty calories....but like Hells managed to still have a glass whilst Dukan-ing Grin

oh, little ones have done their week of swimming lessons (phew, no more being anywhere for 9 am - until September of course!), and received little Puffin badges and certificates....awww......they loved it, such a good feeling, and of course are exhausted all afternoon (!)

Oh, Hells, meant to say Paris trip sounds fab...especially Moulin Rouge...and getting to dress up! What are you gonna wear?

Also, did you get the J Brands yet?

And being stalker-ish I love that dress you were wearing in the Mallorca photos; the sort of pewter-ish, taupey halter neck...where was that from?

Tracey - good about those jeans being 32'...think i can just about get away with that, so will give them a go...

Think I need another Spa day after these holidays...I love being with les enfants but will admit to being a bit frazzled, oh, and DH has torn a ligament in his shoulder...! And has man flu.

hellsbelles · 06/08/2010 12:13

Marsha - I'm still dithering - I think I prefer the green/black rather than the black and white. And they don't have that in my size!

Dolcee - that dress was 'exclusive to NAP' from Splendid. Alas I think it's sold out now.

LetThemEatCake · 06/08/2010 12:13

oh rage oh desespoir

email from Question Air this morning 'due to tech difficulty, site showed dress as in stock but it's not blah blah"

aaaaaaargggggh

Suede wedges? Sorry about crap link on phone.

Ltec that's crap about the dress

rufus101 · 06/08/2010 15:12

Love suede but it breaks my heart. Find I don't wear it, when I have it, as afraid of ruining it, even with that spray protector stuff.
Whaddya mean empty calories in alcohol?! Tastes yummy IMO!
Shame about the dress Cake, I'm sure someone will come good.
Saw the MK on the Outnet and now that it's massively reduced not sure about it anymore. Kind of "well nobody else must like it or else why are they flogging it?" I'm difficult, I know!

blossoming · 06/08/2010 16:50

Have been RL shopping today and saw the perfect suede shoeboots in Russell & Bromley. £245 though. Very expensive. Their prices are verging on unattainable these days.
However when I got back the Boden leather jacket had arrived and it's going back. Beautiful though it is, the back is too short, verging on cropped. So will have a (spare!, who am I kidding) £200.
Annoyed I missed delivery of Bec dress, all because Mil had to see dc1 again and I managed to dent and scrape the side of the car in the carpark. Dh better not say anything.

FritziGreenEyes · 06/08/2010 18:23

Oh no cake! Have tried to find Tibi dress on German fashion websites but couldn't find "the one". Maybe OWW can help?

rufus - I feel the same about suede. Love the look of it but always think what if it will rain and I the shoes end up ruined.

blossoming - Sorry about your car and missed delivery of Bec dress. I'm sure you find another leather jacket.

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 06/08/2010 19:16

hurrah, DS in bed, DH at work and I have a large glass of white wine (spritzer) off to peruse the posts and post.

hellsbelles · 06/08/2010 19:18

Cake - I've tried and tried to find it but I can't. What a disappointment.

traceybath · 06/08/2010 19:29

LTEC - nice aviator jacket here

FritziGreenEyes · 06/08/2010 19:39

Love the jacket tracey!

Enjoy your evening libra!

Was back in jeans today and it definitely feels like autumn. There are still two dresses in my wardrobe I haven't worn yet this summer...

Can anyone recommend any skinny jeans, preferably not too low waisted and indigo. Have found these. Any thoughts?

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 06/08/2010 19:43

bunny sorry the bags were a wash out as they looked lovely on the site. A friend who is also expecting twins (30 weeks atm) was wearing leggings the other day and she said they were just bog standard ones from M&S so might be worth a try.

monkeysmama enjoy the zoo, I would wear a jeans and t-shirt to the zoo but then DS is liable to tread in something and then want a cuddle.

esher nice to hear you are having great holiday, not so good about mosiquito bites hope you find a cure.

tracey those jeans look fab for going out.

carciofi did you find your cards? I usually find DS likes to collect things in the basket on the back of his toy pushchair (I have found empty cigerette packets in there before). Is that the pink animal print scarf?

LTEC love the neckline on that marc jacobs sweater, big fan of the cowl neck jobby.

reallygrumpy find Oushka bags really good quality and hard wearing. Don't think those boots are interesting enough to warrant £££, too generic.

eie Love the rockafellers.

blossoming you not tempted by the all saints leather jacket if the boden one is going back?

Pea coats would make me look like a bouncer.

After all this talk about colour analysis I looked up what category I fitted on the internet and THINK I am an autumn, which is good as it has some of my fave colours.

I have a pair of suede boots and suede trainers and despite them regularly getting soaked they don't seem to mark maybe they are fake suede!

I'm not going to buy it but can you all tell me if this is naff or not

notyummy · 06/08/2010 19:57

No luck with the dress LTEC - sorry! Have had a look.

Fritzi - those jeans are nice and i LOVE that jacket Tracey. Unfortunately for me, like the cape, it is has military overtones (v similar to the jacket DH wears with flying suit) so feel he would not be able to resist poking fun at me as a wannabe!

Well, I had a bit of a spree today - but all cheap and cheerful stuff, and I suspect some going back.

These because I am too tight for the Houlihans - although the reviews arent too positive so will see.

This skirt and blouse for work from the Trinny and Susannah stuff.

Maxi skirt

Blue blouse that is uncannily similar to the ditsy print one they did like season that I loved so much. The cut suits me though, and I love blue, so....

carciofi · 06/08/2010 20:01

Libra I like the bag but it might get wrecked quickly as it is fabric? I still haven't found the cards, don't know where she stashed it but if we start getting lots of deliveries from the Early Learning Centre, I'll know why! I am laughing at you finding a cigarette pack in your DS's toy stroller.

Yes, I got the DVF scarf and it is gorgeous. I will be wearing it for years (have to at that price!).

I can't wear suede shoes as I wreck them in no time.

Fritzi, I love Paige, J Brand and Current Elliott skinny jeans.

LTEC, very annoying about the dress, I hate when that happens.

Blossoming, I am sure Bec is worth the wait!

carciofi · 06/08/2010 20:08

Love the trench, NY!

FritziGreenEyes · 06/08/2010 20:19

Thanks carciofi. Just remembered that blossoming recommended Paige and J Brand too. Will go and try some on next week.

Great haul notyummy!

blossoming · 06/08/2010 20:33

You know, I don't even want a leather jacket really. Just liked the styling of the boden one!

Laundry basket carciofi??

fritzi, if you've a spare £160, those jbrand mid rise skinnies on nap are amazing.

DolceeBanana · 06/08/2010 20:39

Shame about the jacket Bloss! One of the reasons I get so peed about online shopping! And poor you re the car....these things happen!

Another good haul Notyummy!

Having a nice drinkie after fraught bathing session of dcs...DD1 blubbed hysterically throughout as she's not feeling well, which started DD2 off and DS trashed his bedroom at this point, (but did tidy up when Mummy asked, I hasten to add!!!)....phew....Hey Ho!

Rose rather nice though! Yes rufus, empty calories but bloody delicious! Grin

Poor DH feeling tres poorly too....

Carciofi - where are you? Imagine you are in Dublin or something? Excuse my ignorance if not?
