Would a camel cape be entirely wise? Or a pair of houlihans a bit too avid?? Who cares!

Please join me ladies. Don't want to be too sad and lonely on a Friday night.......

Where's Tracey?

traceybath · 06/08/2010 20:50

Just watching the Danni Minogue programme as DH on his way back from jolly at Cowes.

Likeof the dresses particularly Royal Flush and Poker in the animal-tastic prints.

DolceeBanana · 06/08/2010 20:52

I like it how you did that!

traceybath · 06/08/2010 20:57

How funny Grin

And what a weird link I did.

I'm grumpy and tired. Wish I got to go on jollys. Well I don't actually as I know schmoozing clients is quite dull but would make a change from dirty nappies Wink

Also DH off to pyrenees for first week of sept mountain biking. Have probably mentioned that already Wink But best I grumble on here rather than at home.

carciofi · 06/08/2010 20:57

Tried there, Blossoming!

Dolcee, I live in London but am from Dublin.

Time for wine, night all.

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 06/08/2010 21:04

Like the royal flush.

traceybath · 06/08/2010 21:09

Libra - when are you due and do you know what you're having?

Librashavinganotherbiscuit · 06/08/2010 21:18

c-section booked for 27th Oct, apparently I am having a girl, the sonographer (I think that's the correct term!) has a 97% success rate at predicting the sex. On my short list for girls names (which isn't necessarily the same as DH) are Isla, Isabel, Emily, Martha and Lara but they are all quite popular at the moment.

notyummy · 06/08/2010 21:20

Lovely names Libra! I would say that though - one of them is dd's! Grin

OP posts:
notyummy · 06/08/2010 21:22

We had Grace on our shortlist- and then DD arrived, all 9 lbs, huge head and no neck..... And we thought, 'hmm, there's a chance she might not be graceful .......' Wink

traceybath · 06/08/2010 21:34

Oh how lovely Libra! DD was correctly identified at my 20 week scan - as were both boys.

Pretty names too.

LOL at NY.

Some good buys there NY - any update on job situation?

MM - hope you're having fun at the in-laws Wink

OllieWollieWoo · 06/08/2010 21:36

LOL notyummy! Agree - all very lovely girl names Libra. I had a long list of girls names and really struggled with boys names - which of course we ended up needing - twice!. Made more difficult that we needed a name that sounded the same in English and Dutch - not as easy as you would think!

Anyway - the great dress search for LTEC as drawn a blank here I'm afraid. I even tried googling butterfly maxidress and ended up with some shockers! Will have a further trawl tho.

Sorry about your car blossoming - v frustrating.

DH just cooked me prawn & pea risotto with mint & basil - my favourite. (Nothing to do with us getting a new mattress he assures me!!! Grin). Dukan on hold til after the weekend!

notyummy · 06/08/2010 21:39

Still uncertain Tracey. The office is def toast, but we don't have a date. Smart money is end of March. What we also don't know is whether any transfers will be available- but if they are, it won't be for all staff. Will just sit tight and wait!

OP posts:
OllieWollieWoo · 06/08/2010 21:48

Oh meanto say Traceybath - I understand re DH's trip. DH goes sailing every winter to lovely hot and sunny destinations - comes back with glowing tan etc etc and whilst most of me doesnt mind him going, I'm always a bit resentful/squeaky the week leading up to it and then downright sorry for myself the week he is away and make myself feel better by planning a few days away of my own and spending some of his hard earned cash on frivolous things!

OllieWollieWoo · 06/08/2010 21:50

er - meant bird dress not butterfly!

reallygrumpy · 06/08/2010 21:51

Lovely names libra dh and I couldn't agree on names at all and only managed to find one we agreed on a few days before dd was born. Thanks for the feedback on the oushka bags, I've pre-ordered the one I linked to. Oh and thanks for putting me off the boots, I'll wait and see what boots they have in in jigsaw and hobbs.

I managed some super efficient shopping today, bribed dd with food, strapped her into the pushchair and got everything (tie for dh, bra for me, shoes for dd and wedding present) done in an hr so we're all ready for the wedding tomorrow. When I got dd's feet measured I discovered she's gone up a size and her shoes are too small again so I'll have to go to clarks (which aren't that lovely but seem to be the only shoes capable of surviving dd's amazing shoe destroying powers). Last trip to clarks ended with dd throwing an enormous tantrum and lying on the floor screaming while other shoppers gave me looks of pity...

ltec that's so annoying about your dress, online shopping can be so frustrating sometimes.

Tracy I really like the topshop jacket and project d dresses

Thanks blossoming. Will try to find a shop here which stocks J Brands so can try them on in RL.

Tracey - Gorgeous dresses! Will you get one? I'm bookmarking avidly today. Wink

libra - Lovely names! Have you got a back up list with boys' names just in case? Agree with OWW that nice names for boys are harder to find. Or maybe it depends on the surname...

OWW - Risotto sounds yummy, lucky you! Whenever DH cooks we have a choice between Italian or Thai takeaway. To be fair he always cleans the kitchen after I have cooked (and crashed on the sofa).

Enjoy your rose dolce!

florenceuk · 06/08/2010 22:05

Fritzl, just to add, James Jeans make a high rise "jegging" called Twiggy which I tried on at Trilogy sale and liked as they were very comfy - but didn't like the wash - however they are in stock at Donna Ida in different washes. Also second 7FAM Roxannes - come in mid-rise and high rise versions and are also very comfortable.

FritziGreenEyes · 06/08/2010 22:10

Thanks florence! I'm adding to my list which is getting longer and longer. Smile

carciofi · 06/08/2010 22:59

Oh yes, I second James jeans. Hmm, I think I have a bit of a denim addiction.

Lovely names, Libra. My dd is Emilia.

LetThemEatCake · 06/08/2010 23:18

how miffed am I? let me count the ways...

  1. Tibi dress debacle Angry
  2. Red Lanvin dress arrived. Despite being size 10, is huge on me. Thought that being designer and ahem, vintage, would be on small side? Isn't it generally agreed that dress sizes are bigger these days? Angry
  3. Went for a run, realised half way through that I really needed the loo, Hence a very uncomfortable run and a rubbish average pace. Angry
  4. Decided to console myself with breaking fruit ban by bingeing on raspberries. Went to Sainsbo's .. they had blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, schnozzberries ... but no raspberries Angry

However - massively cheered by you lovely ladies looking for the dress for me. Thanks a million, you're all fabulous Smile

Off to bed, intend to wake up happy. Good night all.

LetThemEatCake · 06/08/2010 23:27

exciting Libra!! lovely names you've picked out. I struggled massively with boy names after finding out that ds1 was to be a boy, even more so with ds2 (Although did not find out the sex with him) DD was identified correctly as girl by scan, had invasive testing for the boys but, as I say, left ds2 to be a 'surprise'.

If I had another girl she would be called Anoushka. Smile

have fun at the wedding tomorrow reallygrumpy!

sorry about your jacket bloss

hope all well at iLs mm

sorry to anyone I've missed but big happy weekend wave to you all Smile

MarshaBrady · 07/08/2010 00:10

I have been out. How irritating about the Tibi dress, I loved it, buggers!

Libra so lovely you are having a girl and lovely names too Smile.
